Dean quickly looked towards between Rhia and Ilias. Although he understood the merit of what they were saying, and appriciated it, (aside from the spoon beating) he didnt think such a thing was even possible.

"It's not quite that simple." Dean said in a dejected tone, still rubbing his head. "I mean, I'm not even sure I can just up and do something like that."

Kekowa saw Dean in the arena. ya know I havent talked to Dean much lately, heck Ive barly talked to him at all. He is a solid fighter and like me he doesnt focus on Ki or magic, he could also equal my strength. Even if he's about as slow as a turtle with a elephant on its back. A great fighter could always be helpful as a friend

Kekowa walked up to Dean. Sort-of flexing his chest muscles beneath his jacket. "Hello Dean," Kekowa reached out his hand in friendship "We really havent gotten to know each other have we. Two great fighters like us shouldnt be strangers. So Dean Ive heard your from "Sin City" Las Vegas, fabalous city always wanted to go but never the time."

Dean accepted Kekowas handshake. They had never spoke before, save for one time, for a short amount of time. In retrospect, Dean found that akward, being that they had been on the same team. Dean didnt have anything against the guy, He thought he was a tad agressive, but anyone with muscles couldnt be that bad.

He's not as impressive as myself, but that's to be expected. Still, not bad.

Dean considered correcting Kekowa, explaining that he lived in Reno, not Los Vegas, however, he decided against it. Atleast he had the correct state.

"Yeah, now that you mention it, You'd think we have talked before. Anyways, you're from...Tokyo? Or Hong Kong? I forget." Dean said, idly contemplating who could do more pushups.

Dean looked at Xellos. He had a point. If Dean had failed at anything, it was by giving up to easily.

"Hmm...Like training, huh?" Dean said outloud. "You're right, I should think of this as a training excercise! Practice does make perfect."

After all, what kind of man would he be, if he just simply accepted her answer, moped, and moved on?

Not one from Old Nevada, thats for sure. His ancestors would be shamed by such a thing. He'd just have to find the right approach. He'd get it right, and she would give in, sooner or later.

Hopefully, sooner.

And although Dean wouldnt admit this to himself, the chase did tend to make it more fun, like a hunter stalking its prey.

He would continue pursuing Kagara, and he would have her, sooner or later. Eventually she would surrender in the face of the unresistable charm of Dean Gatlain.

"You're right Xellos. If I must spend days, nay weeks! to win her over, then so be it!"

Dean raised one of his glourious, rippling biecps, and flexed. It seemed as though the Sun shone abit brighter as he did this.

I began in Okinawa with a real hard nosed SOB named Kenkushu Shinimei that taught me Karate and Kenjutsu" Grabbing the sword on his back. "Then a year later, I went to mainland china, i happend upon a Sholin temple that had broken off from the world deep in the mountians. Master Monk Qui Shin taught me peace, Martial skill and my moral compass by which I live my life." Kekowa sat down. He had never talked about his former masters before he actually missed them after the three or four years he had seen them, he wondered if they had a hand in sending him to Arcadia "Then It was off to Tailand at the age of 12 and I went around studing Kickboxing, bouncing around every sleazy gym in the country testing my metal against some of the best fighters in the world." Kekowa sat down "I was 13 when I got back to my homeland. I had a brief few months before my freshman year started in highschool so I went back to KenKushu to redifine my skills and polish off my skill."

Kekowa realized he rambled "Oh sorry about that, kinda rambled, heh." Kekowa said with a smile as he rubbed the back of his head. "Anyway, I also dont think people at the dorm think that much of me, what have you heard about me thats so bad?"

"Then a year later, I went to mainland china, i happend upon a Sholin temple that had broken off from the world deep in the mountians. He had never talked about his former masters before he actually missed them after the three or four years he had seen them, he wondered if they had a hand in sending him to Arcadia "Then It was off to Tailand at the age of 12 and I went around studing Kickboxing, bouncing around every sleazy gym in the country testing my metal against some of the best fighters in the world." Kekowa sat down "I was 13 when I got back to my homeland. I had a brief few months before my freshman year started in highschool so I went back to KenKushu to redifine my skills and polish off my skill."

Dean silently headed these words of wisdom, and engraved them in his heart. Xellos was an intelligent man, and had let to lead Dean astray yet.

Still, Dean made a mental note to ask Sabin how his forefathers had won the hearts of women.

Dean quietly contemplated the possiblity, that Kagura did infact, not like him, for a reason he could not comprehend. He just as quickly dimissed such a though as madness.

Obviously, his failure, stemmed from a lack of dedication to ensure his success.

However, it did occur to Dean, that Rhia was correct about one thing. He could not infact, make Kagura like him, assuming that, through some fluke, she didnt.

Atleast not without Henry, and a bunch of money.

Deciding that to be a poor course of action, Dean let the thought flow from his mind.

He may not be able to get Kagura to like him, but he'd damn well try.

"Dean is innocent in that he never possesses ulterior motives. She will be angry no matter what Dean tries, so he might as well go the persistence route. If she's angry and never warms to him, he'll eventually figure it out and stop, hopefully before he damages their relationship irreparably. That's a risk everyone runs in romance. If she's angry and warms to him behind his back, then he's got a chance."

His smile flattened slightly as he contemplated a thought that itched the back of his mind.

"If he overdoes only that, he may aggravate her stubborn streak. He'll need variety, and I'm not going to act as his coach all the way. Good luck with that.

"He's also going to need to get more in tune with her. Not sure if you noticed, but half of what you've been telling him has been reprocessed by him between the ears into something else. Kagura might find that endearing, but he'll need to be able to really listen to her. That is, in my opinion, a test of how Dean sees her. If she's another challenge to him, he deserves to have his ass handed to him. If he really cares for her, what doesn't come naturally, he'll strive to do."

Dean had neither the time, inclination, or ability to memorize every word Xellos had just said. Deciding that this advice would actually be helpful in the long run, he pulled out a pen and notepad he kept in his pocket.

It was previously used to keep track of people to seek vengence on, mostly Jon, for the incident in the first round. Deciding this to be a better use of his time and energy, he began making bulletpoints.

OOC: How the heck could she notice something like that? For that matter, how could Xellos? Neither of them are psychics and Dean's reaction have been very neutral.

Seeing that Dean had plenty of good help, Ilias took a seat a bit down from the group and once again began lounging. No one could lounge enough, as far as we was concerned, as long as they had the time to do so, anyway.

Dean should be fine; even if this--Kagura, I believe--doesn't end up liking him, only good can come from Dean learning he can't get everything he wants.

Breaking off a yawn midway through, he glanced around himself once again to see if there was anyone too close for his own comfort, and then began dozing off again.

Natalie was sure she had the best intentions at heart with her advice, but all Charlotte's words did was increase the pressure on her. She had made of all of them such wonderful friends, the last thing she'd ever want to do was, with finality, cause irrevocable heartbreak to any of them.

She then hoped somebody on the opposite side of the arena might be able to ease this misunderstanding

Selma looked to Samuel and raised an eyebrow as she asked "Are you sure this is going to work with Natalie Samuel-sensei?"

"Have you tried it yet?" Samuel asked, and Selma shook her head negative. Samuel smiled as he said "So if you haven't tried it yet, then what will it hurt to try. And what's the worst that could happen?"

"Natalie rejects me, calls me a "complete moron" or worse, and I make an ass of myself in front of the entire stadium crowd." Selma answered, Samuel frowning before he said "OK... but that's probably not going to happen Selma, so don't worry about that particular outcome."

The figure on the cot sat up, only to be draped by a cloak like the other puppets, "Can't have you getting a cold, or let anyone recognize you can we?" "Oh my!" Rising, the old man proceeded to dust himself off. "My apologies you two, it seems this old chap dazed off yet again."

Blinking as Xing tugged at his arm, Levi was now the one who was confused. Dean was possessed? About to be enslaved? That certainly wasn't good. Nodding, Levi followed Xing as the other was no doubt on route to Dean.

Pulling Levi by the arm, Xing swiftly activated his Chi Sense. Running blindly for a few seconds, Dean's chi signature finally made itself visible to Xing. Now that he had a clear idea of his destination, Xing redoubled his efforts and sped his way towards his friend.

OOC: Dean got turned down by Kagura and is in dismay. Sirius, I believe, seems to have gotten somewhere in the 'Who Gets Natalie' competetion. Xing thinks Dean is possessed by an evil spirit and has dragged Levi along with him.

I don't really know what the situation is with others, though.

Xing proposed to Dean, who refused, because Marrige=Slavery. Kagura disagreed, leading to an argument between the two, followed by Dean asking her out, and her declining, making Dean near catotonic.

Ilias, Xellos and Rhia managed to get him out of his funk.

Meanwhile, Levi told Xing that a date is a precursor to marrige, promting Xing to think Dean is being possessed, maybe by Kagura, into being her slave, and is rushing with Levi to meet up with Dean, and save him.

Dean meanwhile, is with Kekowa, in the lunch line, and talking to some buff as giant guy.

Kagura, is currently talking with Rhia and Or Justin.

Pulling Levi by the arm, Xing swiftly activated his Chi Sense. Running blindly for a few seconds, Dean's chi signature finally made itself visible to Xing. Now that he had a clear idea of his destination, Xing redoubled his efforts and sped his way towards his friend.

OOC: Tamiko's little brother showed up stirred things up a little.

Giving Ramus a quick kiss on the cheek, Tamiko teleported to another part of the island in search of Kelly or Bloodmon.

Kado stood there, his eyes wide, then shaking his head. He turns to Ramus, "Do you know why she is acting so strangely?"

Having teleported to a part of the island she wasn't familiar with, wandering around lost for some time, Tamiko finally returns to where Ramus and Kado are talking. "Come on Kado, let's go back. I'm sure one of the teachers will show up eventually."

As she spoke, she grabbed her brother's hand, "Sis, you don't have to pull me, I'm coming." Kado looks at Ramus, "I guess I'll see you later."

The two of them then head back towards the Infirmery, in search of one of the teachers.

OOCWell, As far as Kekowa goes, he was talking to Dean who blew him off. Before that on his way to the arena a assassin tried to snipe him from 500 yards away but Kekowa dodged the bullet, tourted the sniper and when he found out what he needed to know he broke the hitman's back Shadowhawk style and now im thinkig about moe assassination attempt to spice up his story. That and I was thinking about introducing Kekowa's masters in just for fun. Hheh ones a clam cool Sholin monk with High Ci and magic, the other is a hardnosed master with alot of strength and speed that makes Sabin look like a cub scout. Wrote about them in the disscussion thread was waiting for you ok.

I'm putting the next fight between Norn and Dragon (Sonirus and whomever) on official Hiatus for Christmas.

I apologize for the delay, but it will be near impossible to keep up with Christmas taking up mine, and alot of other people's, time.

It is not the powerful enemies we face that we should be worried of, but the dark energies being produced by the evil and malicious thoughts of those that we have faced."
