Yea but ya think the guy would have the common sense to know when he is outmatched.

First of all, a solid blow from one of Xellos' Van Buster spells would probably KTFO Kekowa. What with the guy having 14 Magic.

But beside that, even if you think he can take Xellos 1vs1, there are going to be people who aren't going to be too happy even /if/ you do win but would be more than happy to avenge their comrade.

Natalie stood in disbelief. That was the strongest technique she had in her arsenal, and it availed to nothing. As usual, this would require outside assistance.

Seeing Hunter, and the violent energies cascading about him, Natalie noticed that Mia's attention was on him. It was a valuable scant moments to prepare.

Backing up, she removed another napkin from her blouse, the impromptu channeling seal still in effect. She cast it to the ground and flowed energy into it.

"Guardian of the Earth! Battra!"

With a great roar that resounded through the stadium, the butterfly so twisted in appearance but for his noble heart overshadowed and dwarfed its summoner. Suddenly, its form began to scatter.

From Battras body sprang hundreds of spiritual butterflies, swarming about her forming a protective shield.

Natalie braced herself and instinctively created a sphere of chi in her hands.

What did I do back then...was that a spell? chi? what?!

For now, she would let Hunter make his move.



Mia turned, frowning as she saw the butterflies. A dark blue tri-combination of energy surrounded her blades. She then plunged them into her chest, blood spraying out.

She pulled them out, coated in bright red blood, and her wounds slowly closed, leaving her perfectly fine. Her mouth opened as she finally spoke.

"By the blood oath, I summon thee. By the blood oath, I command thee. Come, from Outer Darkness, Betrayer!"

"Break the barrier.", Mai commanded as the beast went over to Natalie's position, axe raised.

Hunter, however, was ready, His guns, flaring blood red, rose up and he called out a new attack."

"Dodge this, Brimstone Revolver!"


The energy from Hunter's guns unleashed themselevs in the form of bullet sized flaming projectiles, moving well faster then a normal bullet. Mia, her blades still bloody, began wgirling about herself, deflecting them, though barely.

Trying not to kill someone is actually harder to do than just going all out and killing them.

And there's still the fact that pretty much any magic attack from Xellos would KTFO Kek.

Now I will make my leave, a girl I admire is fighting for our Dorm." Kekowa slightly bowed his head and turned walking away. When he got a little ways off he called back "Remember what we talked about." He continued to walk untill he got a seat close to the action so he could see Natalie "Yeah Go Natalie!"

That, and getting info about Xellos would be difficult, if his family is as secretive as he is.

And unless they are idiots, they would keep info about them as classified as possible.

So the information would have to come from those who know him, and I dont recall Keko playing twenty questions about xellos.

Stepping back, he roared and struck again, this time, the axe biting deep, breaking throgh by just an inch.


Hunter, on the other hand, had his hands full. The Brimstone Revolver was holding Mia at bay, but that was all. None of the hellfire rounds had touched her, and he was running low.

Mia began steadily moving foward, getting closer and closer to Hunter as she contiuned to counter his bullets.

OOC: Kekowa never struck me as cool headed, no matter what SK says to the contrary. He's a gang leader alpha type, and yeah, that brings some interesting friction. I'm certainly not objecting to these events happening, they're interesting and good for Xellos.

She looked up and spotted Wei in the audience, and remembered his brief teaching once again. She smiled as the Betrayer raised its axe once again, and struck out her arm.

Immediately the phantom butterflies shot upward, grinding into sparks against its axe as the beast tried to bring it down. They resisted for a good while, but it had no effect.

Or so it seemed. As the axe fell closer, Natalie commanded the butterflies to shift the momentum of the blade, and send it careening towards Mia, slowly pacing towards Hunter.

Xellos seperates thought and action into 2 distinct groups. He feels like killing Kekowa, but he has absolutely no intention on acting on it. He's killed people before, so he has to fight the part of his brain that tempts him to do it to solve all his problems.

Thus, to him, feeling the urge to kill someone is significantly less than actually having the resolve and necessary reason to do it.

IC: Mia sensed the balde approaching and suddenly jumped, the axe burying into the arena where she'd been standing. However, as she jumped, Hunter's last two Brimstoen bullets hit her, blasting her back, causing her to land with a thud.


Getting up, smoke rising from her, Mia's eyes flashed blue as the Betrayer grabbed the ax and ripped it out of the arena.

"Very well then. Betrayer, take care of the Triumverate. I'll handle the mage."

With a roar, the Betrayer turned and launched it'self at Hunter, who cartwheeled out of the way just in time. Black energy began to form at the tips of his guns as he prepared something new.

Mia, however, turned, her blades flickering with dark blue energy. Oddly, the places where the brimstone bullets had hit were healing at a much slower rate then before.

"Dance of blades, Hurricane Scythes!"

Hundreds of blue energy blades shot out towards Natalie from Mia's blades.

The pressure of Mia's attack prevented any communication with her partner. Natalie's eyes widened as Battra's butterfly shield barely made it in time to counteract the blades. However, a great number of the summon's mass had been sacrificed in the previous ploy, and Natalie had no choice but to cancel the magic; what came towards her and her own.

Striking the ground with her staff, she cried Zerutten, and a resounding explosion resulted as the energies clashed together volatiley, then expired on the astral plane. A heavy plume of dust was kicked up, but when it cleared Natalie was nowhere to be seen.

OOC: 15 minutes, I need to eat :o

The Betrayer kept on Hunter, the ax constantly missing by scant inches each time as Hunter threw himself out of the way.


Mia stood, her brow frowning slightly as she pondered where Natalie had gone.

Mia's eyes then turned white as she levitated off the ground and, in mid-air, sat herself into a meditative position. A blue barrier surrounded her as she began focusing her energy.


Hunter cursed, then threw himself back, his guns snapping up.

"Bastard, Void Bullet!"

The first shot missed the Betrayer completly, but the second clipped it straight in the left arm. With a roar, the beast watched as it's left arm began to disapear as the Void Bullet ate away at it. With a shattering roar, it tore's the rest of it's left arm off before the Void could consume all of it.

Growling in pain, it picked it's axe back up and advanced towards Hunter, who was gathering yellow energy at the tips of his guns this time.

OOC: As a gang chief, and given his recent actions, Kekowa is clearly a bully. Not a bully with hidden issues, mind you, just someone who is clearly suited for the alpha role of his gang and making sure weaker people in that environment stay in line. I'd expect any gang leader to exhibit similar behavior, though the strength of it would vary from person to person.

He does have a sense of honour and is a warrior, but his actions clearly show he's not such a 2 dimensional character.

IC: Mia sensed the balde approaching and suddenly jumped, the axe burying into the arena where she'd been standing. However, as she jumped, Hunter's last two Brimstoen bullets hit her, blasting her back, causing her to land with a thud.


Getting up, smoke rising from her, Mia's eyes flashed blue as the Betrayer grabbed the ax and ripped it out of the arena.

"Very well then. Betrayer, take care of the Triumverate. I'll handle the mage."

With a roar, the Betrayer turned and launched it'self at Hunter, who cartwheeled out of the way just in time. Black energy began to form at the tips of his guns as he prepared something new.

Mia, however, turned, her blades flickering with dark blue energy. Oddly, the places where the brimstone bullets had hit were healing at a much slower rate then before.

"Dance of blades, Hurricane Scythes!"

Hundreds of blue energy blades shot out towards Natalie from Mia's blades.

Distracted by Natalie's battle, Tamiko headed over to get a good view of the fight. Yelling out to her, "Take her down, Natalie, I know you can do it!"

Me and selma are on it, I need you for your speed and lightning magic which would be a big help. If you accept the only person left would be Ramus. The Betrayer kept on Hunter, the ax constantly missing by scant inches each time as Hunter threw himself out of the way.


Mia stood, her brow frowning slightly as she pondered where Natalie had gone.

Mia's eyes then turned white as she levitated off the ground and, in mid-air, sat herself into a meditative position. A blue barrier surrounded her as she began focusing her energy.


Hunter cursed, then threw himself back, his guns snapping up.

"Bastard, Void Bullet!"

The first shot missed the Betrayer completly, but the second clipped it straight in the left arm. With a roar, the beast watched as it's left arm began to disapear as the Void Bullet ate away at it. With a shattering roar, it tore's the rest of it's left arm off before the Void could consume all of it.

Growling in pain, it picked it's axe back up and advanced towards Hunter, who was gathering yellow energy at the tips of his guns this time.

Nowhere in particular, actually. The spell reeked havok on the area immediately around her, and she was stuck in a pit on the floor. Slowly climbing out, she noticed Mia had entered a trance, and certainly that wasn't good. However, Hunter was in danger, and running low on bullets.

Reacting instinctively, she dashed behind the betrayer. Summoning forth her Astral Avatar, she grabbed onto its remaining arm. With several invisible hands, she bound it in place.

"Hurry up, Hunter!" she called out,"After this one, she's preparing something most unpleasant I fear!"

He turned into a totally funny, kickass awesome guy. It's just how it all worked out.

It's not bad, it's just how it works sometimes. See what I mean? Sure, Keko may not be working out exactly how you had planned, but hey, it happens. Embrace Kekos inner asshole!

As she could see on the astral plane was a massive outpour of energy concentrated within her being, soaring outward with surprising vivacity. Although she was sure she wasn't alone in this experience, Hunter too possessing extrasensory perception, she couldn't help what she felt.

A cold sweat trickled down her brow. Her Avatar faded away as she extended her chi flow, felt, and waited.

Dozens of hundred pound tiles slammed into Hunter as he was propelled off the ground. Amazingly, he positioned hismelf enough to where Natalie was barely clipped by any of them, though the TK did manage to fling her and him backward somewhat aswell.


Hunter, landing in a postion that clearly showed a broken arm and other injuries, grunted as he coughed up some blood and sat up.

"Well, that's not good........."

Natalie sat up from where she lay in disbelief.

Was du ficken? Exactly how did she manage that?! What sort of...

She looked at Mia, who still floated in the air, though much of the energies seemed to have dissipated. Clasping Hunter's shoulder, she shuddered as she forced herself to her feet.

"Danke, mein freund. Now it is my turn."

No summons, drained magic, and it would appear that she would be horribly outclassed. If there was a time to take a risk, it would be now.

While she still had a moment, she created a chi sphere, and plunged it into her stomach, buckling under the spike of power in a sharp pain, knees wobbling.


Hunter nodded, then got up. He watched as Natalie plunged the chi sphere into herself.

"Alright Natalie, you do what you have too. I promise I'll buy you teh time you need."

Hunter grinned, his elongated teeth showing.

"Checkmate, asshole! Hellfire Bullet!"


The yellow energy bullet thundered from Hunter's gun and tore through the air.


Mai, using her TK, blew Natalie off of her, sending her rolling on the ground several dozen feet away.


However, she had run out of time.


Mai turned, her blue eyes widening in time to see the Hellfire Bullet tear right through her shoulder and send her flying out of the air, only to crash land right on the edge of the arena.

The Hellfire Bullet, being demonic magic, caused her healing factor to short circuit, meaing Mai couldn't heal this wound like usual.

From the pain, the drain, and the tiredness, Mai's eyes rolled up into her head as she passed out.


"Hunter and Natalie win Round 1 for Dragon Dorm!", the announcer called as Mai was transported off the arena floor.



OT Congratsulations, Dragon won the first fight! However, Natalie and Hunter CANNOT leave the arena yet, nor can anyone go to them. They have to face the next Norn fighter aswell.

The argument continued as the group entered the building, and met up with the rest of Dragon Drom.

Ilias followed at the tail end of the group, quietly amused as he listened in on the on-going conversation that had lasted the whole journey from outside to here. However, he was happy to finally be able to take a seat; fighting Jason had put his nerves on end for a while there, and he had the feeling that, once this tournament was over, he wouldn't be getting a lot of time to just sit and enjoy himself. Which was just fine with him, anyway.

Slipping silently past the group, Ilias sat down with a relieved sigh, making sure to pick a seat that had no one in front of it so that he could prop up his feet. Slipping his arms out of his coat and crossing them over his chest after he had absently placed his spoon inside his mouth to gnaw on, Ilias tilted his head back and zoned out, finally relaxed.

Dean knew as well as anyone, his skillset, while great, put him at a disadvantage against the more exotic warriors out there. He'd have to find someway to keep up, lest he become obsolute.

Of course, he did have a new trick or two.

"Besides beating the hell out of them?" Dean asked, while considering somethng. "I'm not completely certain yet. However, I didnt miss my second match because I was stuck on the toilet, you know."

Xing sadly shook his head at the apology Dean presented him. Though he was flattered that Dean did care that much, Xing was uncomfortable with what felt was the uncharacteristic hesitation on his friend's part.

"No, Dean, I overestimated my own abilities that time." Xing reassured, "It's just that I didn't get any sleep the other night, so I think I'm to blame for what happened back then."



Xing clapped his hands excitedly at Dean's answer. In his heart of hearts, Xing truly did wish to engage in another sparring match with Dean. In his view, a fair and honorable fight was, while not necessarily essential, an excellent method in solidifying the friendship between any two individuals.

It's how the story works. I first considered Making Dean Yujiro or Akuma light, in the planning phase. Now, if he has that in him, aside from dedication to training, I'm not seeing it.

Part of her was angry at him for staying hidden; the part that wanted nothing more then to forget the promise just for a chance to meet him again and tell him how much she'd missed him. But another part of her was thankfull that he still tried to respect her honor and pride as a fighter and royal.

Stupid brother, she thought fondly. I'm much stronger already. Just wait, and I'll show you...

Ilias followed at the tail end of the group, quietly amused as he listened in on the on-going conversation that had lasted the whole journey from outside to here. However, he was happy to finally be able to take a seat; fighting Jason had put his nerves on end for a while there, and he had the feeling that, once this tournament was over, he wouldn't be getting a lot of time to just sit and enjoy himself. Which was just fine with him, anyway.

Slipping silently past the group, Ilias sat down with a relieved sigh, making sure to pick a seat that had no one in front of it so that he could prop up his feet. Slipping his arms out of his coat and crossing them over his chest after he had absently placed his spoon inside his mouth to gnaw on, Ilias tilted his head back and zoned out, finally relaxed.




As the group continued to yell at Jason for making them late to the match, Kelly watched Ilias as the youth relaxed in a empty part of the stadium. Gathering from the bruise on his face, he guessed that he could not a avoid on of Jason's kick right away.....shame. If would appear that the boy needed to go for some training in several aspects.....most off speed. After the tournament was done, he would send to boy off towards Jason part of the world for the begining of his training. The only question was if he could survive it.

Mai didn't expect this, and was actually caught off guard.


Natalie wrapped her arms around the startled Mai, who instantly began trying to pry her off.


However.............


Hunter grinned, his elongated teeth showing.

"Checkmate, asshole! Hellfire Bullet!"


The yellow energy bullet thundered from Hunter's gun and tore through the air.


Mai, using her TK, blew Natalie off of her, sending her rolling on the ground several dozen feet away.


However, she had run out of time.


Mai turned, her blue eyes widening in time to see the Hellfire Bullet tear right through her shoulder and send her flying out of the air, only to crash land right on the edge of the arena.

The Hellfire Bullet, being demonic magic, caused her healing factor to short circuit, meaing Mai couldn't heal this wound like usual.

From the pain, the drain, and the tiredness, Mai's eyes rolled up into her head as she passed out.


"Hunter and Natalie win Round 1 for Dragon Dorm!", the announcer called as Mai was transported off the arena floor.



OT Congratsulations, Dragon won the first fight! However, Natalie and Hunter CANNOT leave the arena yet, nor can anyone go to them. They have to face the next Norn fighter aswell.

One of the last 5 remaining Norns stepped forward, her face serene. She was garbed in the same strange armor as all her other Norn's, but this one bore no weapon.


"Fight!"


As soon as the words left the announcer's mouth, Shun moved, the arena directly under her shatttering from her speed.


Shun appeared in front of Hunter and kicked his revolver away. She then kicked his broken arm, shattering it even more. As Hunter fell to the ground, she then garbbed his head an kneed him in the forhead. She then grabbed his other arm, twisted, and broke it before she drop kicked him out of the arena. He was unconscious by the time he hit the stadium wall.


This all took five seconds.

Hunter, and his weapons, were taken from the ring as Shun turned towards Natalie. Shun vanished, and suddenly Natalie was bending over, her eyes wide. Punch after punch landed in Natalie's stomache, chest, and face, the barrage seemingly never stopping.


A roundhouse kick follwed, snapping Natlie's neck to the side and almost breaking her jaw. That was followed by a knee cap kick, breaking it. Shun then picked Natalie's up by her neck, blood seeping from her mouth and nose. Shun threw Natalie into the air, spun around, and delivered a solid kick into Natalie's stomache, sending her flying out of the arena.


She was unconscious before she hit the stadium wall.

"Shun of Norn wins!"

She was imbedde in the wall, Kekowa using his hand formed a palm and stabbed the surrounding rock. Prying her free he saw she was uncouncious. "Wake up Natalie!" He lept off the arena floor and desperatly searched for Ruman "Dr Ruman HELP< Natalie's HURT!"
