The staff end shot out and struck Levi straight in the stomache, bowling him over. It then retracted back to it's original length.

Falling to his knees, he had been caught by surprise. Using his monk's spade to get to his feet. "The Legendary Ruyi Jingu Bang..." He murmured, recalling the legends of the staff that Monkey King Sun Wukong possessed, "..and here I though such a thing would be lost in time..."

"Look at the bright side," Kiran said. "Maybe the Norn fights turn out to be extremely short."

"Dad!" Rhia gave him a sharp glance. "Don't worry, Henry. We'll just have to do our best. If we loose, we just learn from it and come back even stronger."

What is that? I smell something....salty. And...it tastes like copper. Wait. Is that raw meat?

Her eyes snapped open. She sat up, and was confused for a second. This wasn't right. The study shouldn't be painted red. It was....

Oh.

What was going on? Alexia finally noticed something. Her clothes, her hair, her body.....it was all drenched in blood and gore.

"Why...why is this happening?" she asked herself.

A raspy breath came from her right. An arm was sticking out from the other side of the sofa. Alexia got up and walked over.

It was one of the guards. There wasn't much of his body left. Everything below his stomach was gone, splattered across the walls or trampled into the carpet. As she leaned over to check the mortally wounded man, he breathed for the last time and laid still.

She recoiled. Who did this? Why was there such carnage? And why was she unharmed?

Alexia saw another guard. He was torn in half like the other one. In fact, there were 4 more dead guards, all brutally killed by who she assumed to be the same person.

A stifled sob came from behind her. She recognized the sound.

"...Mother?"

She turned around. What she saw never left her dreams, despite the fact that 5 years had passed.

Her mother was pinned to the wall with a splintered table.

"MOTHER!!!"

OOC: Hopefully, that wasn't horrendously bad.

Aside from Alexia being intimately familiar with the smell and taste of human blood, it was good to read.

Your putting the decision on me?

Obviously I'll be biased and say that Henry would make an awesome Captain, but besides that I would nominate Dean (Miburo puts a lot of work into his development), Rhia (She has also progressed and become quite formidable) or perhaps Peter.

All based on purely performance.

Henry still deserves it more though ;) :D

"Hey Dean, do you suppose we should go check out the fights?" Xing asked, wondering if Dean was already calm enough to mix with the other students again, "We've gone on long enough without supporting them, and if my guess isn't wrong, we're probably either nearing the last fight, or already on it."

Standing up from his seat, Xing placed a hand on his friend's shoulder and said, "Either way, I'm just going to see things are going over there." Beggining to take his leave, Xing turned around and said, "Oh, and Dean? Remember to be careful with the Shingan."

Waving a small good-bye, Xing was about to take one more step before he felt a strong pressure on his wrist. Whoever had him was strong, but Xing had enough training to get out of this situation. Twisting his body, Xing leaped in the middle of his turn and delivered a strong kick to the rib cage of whoever had him. It did not faze the man one bit.

"Good to see that you still know how to react, Xing." The man said, smiling, "Though this certainly wasn't how I was expecting to be greeted by my son after four years."

"Fu Qin?" The tension that took over Xing's muscles relaxed, and a smile split his face, "Father, it's you!"

As Lin Yong released his grip on his son, Xing immediately prostrated to the man that had took him in six years ago.

"Father, do not misunderstand my suprise for lack of joy at being reunited with you, but why are you here?"

"Officially? I'm here on business for the Beast Fist School."

"But Father, I thought you were no longer associated with it."

Then, smiling softly, Yong said, "True. But I needed an excuse to see my son."

Heaving, panting, and gasping for air, the two stopped at they leaned up against a tree.

"....damnit! You should have let me kill that bastard!"


Ramon, looking peeved, looked at Daichi with a glare.

Daichi, shrugged, then looked up.

"Ah hell......"

Ramon looked in the direction Daichi did, only to see another swirling vortex open up.


"This is weak..............!", Ramon yelled as he and Diachi were sucked into the portal again.

The tornado streaked by and when it cleared, Wei Levi was gone, or so it seemed. Remembering the hole he created when fighting Gilbert, the former monk had dived in, allowing the swirling winds to pass.

As he leaped out, he knew he couldn't yet he pull that one off again now that she no doubt realized his trick for avoiding the first Tornado Dance.

"Sì Xiàng: Xuán Wu's Arrow!" Tossing his monk's spade up, he charged up another Xuán Wu palm. As the spade came before him, he struck the spade end of the staff weapon, launching it, crescent blade first, like an arrow at Samantha, however, by the time it reached her, he would be as well.

Using the attack as a feint, Levi had lunged at her side while she dealt with the flying monk's spade. With elemental chi filling his legs he first struck out with a knee to her stomach, only to following through with a whip kick in the same spot by the same leg. Leaping back, the chi activated, going off like a fire bomb, flames sprouting across her stomach after the explosion.

"Not that hard. Of course, I did use bait to lure him into position for the capture." Tenten said, patting Bitey on the head, causing him to growl at her.

OOC: And then Selma must battle and possibly defeat the Norn that defeats Natalie for reven... I mean, for love. Yes, that's it. Love.

A chuckle escaped Natalie's lips.

"Finally! This gremlin creature can be tamed by the proper authorities! Well then, Suzume-kun, I'll see you around."

Still contemplating the mysteries of chi, she still wasn't sure how to apply it. Then, suddenly, an aggressive fighting spirit manifest itself in the medical area. Forgoing the latest fight for now, she head off toward the sickbay posthaste.

Justin glared a Django(although not mad at him). Then took a deep breath and calmed down... some. "Alright, I guess Ill just wait for one of the teacher s or until she wakes back up".

Looking about broken and bruised bodies, most of them Wolf, Lion, Shadow and Phoenix, she was surprised to find Justin in there with Tamiko.

"Oh! What happened to you two?" She asked as she head over. Feeling guilty for neglecting her other roomate, she came over to her first. Unfortunately she only knew Justin by name, and couldn't do much but nod in his direction.

Levi will do fine wityh out me their fore a moment, besides I need my legendary strength back as soon as possible As son as he entered he saw Natalie at Tamiko's bedside. He raced over a concered look on his face "Well dear Fraline it seems I should have expected you to be here. With your lovly kindhearted nature that we all love."

Kekowa looked at Tamiko and Justin "Hold on a sec guys." HE raced towards the other side and popped open a cabinet. then he reached inside and popped open a secret compartment, revealing 3 small blue bottles. He grabbed all three and returned to the beds.

He gave a bottle to Justin and Tamiko "Drink up Dr. Ruman sent me here to get one for me so I could heal quicker but you guys look like you need the rest. Then he looked down at Natalie and extended his hand with the other bottle in it. "A gentle man can never deny a lady, please you can have if you wish."

"You may have, however, I will not give up until my body can take no more. I will not sit back again and watch my teammates fight knowing I could have done more."

The end of Samantha's staff blurred and extended. It seemed like dozens, no hundreds, of staff end blows landed on Levi's body, each one with Samantha's full strength behind it (think Ranma's 100+ punches in one moments kind of thing).

The entire attack took less then a second to complete. She pulled her staff back as Levi fell to the floor, still conscious.


"I told you, monk, you could not best me."

She felt a small electrical buzz coursing through her and shocking her hair into a puff. Natalie giggled, but before she forgot herself she put her hand on Sirius' shoulder when he reappeared and shook him lightly.

Jose tip-toed his way into the medical ward, head held high as he looked over the broken bodies of both his comrades and would-be competitors. Sadly, the hope of seeing the blood of half of the lot on his fine sword would be a mere passing dream, what with the defeat of the Wolf Dorm. Still, he had... other priorities now.

Looking around, Jose was aghast to find that the one he was looking for was no where to be found. Surely even if he was a simple-minded brute, he would have had at least the decency to react to Jose's marvellous prescence!

It really was quite fortunate that Jose did not have blade in hand or he would have in a moment of disappointment made someone one head shorter.

Then Jose took note of a familiar face, and after taking a moment to remember the identity of that face, sped up to Natalie and spoke, "Peasent, I seek Senor Janos of the Lion Dorm! Use as little words as you can if you please for it displeases me to even speak to you!"

However, before the count could begin, Levi stood up. His stance seemed off balance, yet he charged forward, elemental chi fueling his legs as his speed picked up. Leaping up, he landed upon the top of Samantha's staff but before she could extend it to launch him off, he kicked it backwards as he descended.

With him so close, Samantha would finally realize; he was fighting unconsciously!! Grabbing her wrist, Levi stumbled back, dragging her along only before his body lunged forward, slamming his forehead into hers. Chi began to build within his body, emerging to the surface of his skin to make his flesh appear neon green. Without the concentration he needed while conscious to perform the Xuán Wu Palm, it came out from all about his body like a quickly growing bubble, slamming into Samantha like a semi-truck while he still held onto her wrist.

Kekowa Grabbed a metal folding chair and placed it at the end of tamiko's bed he sat backwards.

He looked at Justin and gave a approving nod, then back at Nat and Tamiko. "So Nat, whats been going on I should know about, Did I see you in a wheel chair earlier? I also herad alexia was hurt what happened?"

"Er...you don't have to call me Fraulein," she started,"unless you would like me to answer with Keko-chan, ne?"

She turned back and continued to look over Tamiko, wondering what she could do for her.

"I had a brush in with...a user of martial energy, ja? It was rather unfortunate, but I'm feeling much better now! But Alexia, she caught a faerie and defeated him, it was valiant."

Jose tip-toed his way into the medical ward, head held high as he looked over the broken bodies of both his comrades and would-be competitors. Sadly, the hope of seeing the blood of half of the lot on his fine sword would be a mere passing dream, what with the defeat of the Wolf Dorm. Still, he had... other priorities now.

Looking around, Jose was aghast to find that the one he was looking for was no where to be found. Surely even if he was a simple-minded brute, he would have had at least the decency to react to Jose's marvellous prescence!

It really was quite fortunate that Jose did not have blade in hand or he would have in a moment of disappointment made someone one head shorter.

Then Jose took note of a familiar face, and after taking a moment to remember the identity of that face, sped up to Natalie and spoke, "Peasent, I seek Senor Janos of the Lion Dorm! Use as little words as you can if you please for it displeases me to even speak to you!"

A man swathed in head to toe with plaster bandages, limbs suspended in the air, opened his eyes. They widened ferociously when Jose approached, but the extent of his injuries left him effectively mute.

With that, Jose made good on his promise, tapping the bandanged man strongly on his forehead, unfortunately with just enough strength that the restricted man would come tumbling to the ground.

How/When is Xing going to die?

When: Very likely after World Tournament.

How: 'Healer' that repaired Xing's DNA is 'related' on a genetic scale to Xing. Ends up being able to mind-control Xing and tries to get him to steal Ring of Will. Xing ends up doing a kamikaze attack on 'Healer'. Regardless of whether he kamikazes or not, he would've died from his genetic imperfections anyway.

That was the sound of a muffled scream, of a man with already broken bones falling onto the ground in a clatter. Though the plaster shell held everything into place, the shock reverbed through his entire being. To make things even worse he had landed face down.

" I notice you giving Natalie alot of attention recently and alot of affection." Sirus tried to speak but kekowa hused him "I have no Idea why you are doing so but let me just say this: I care for her deeply. She saved my life, and I will always owe her for that, and when I should hav eprotected her I ran off to kill a monster. and she got critically injured. I have sworn to protect her even if it costs me my life. For the first time in my life I feel a state of euphoria every time I see her. So Be causous, even if her feeling are not returned I will always be her protector, so if this is just a "jump her bones" and leave hurting her, I will cripple you. And if you hurt her." Still recovering from his bout of laughter, Xellos exited the room and witnessed Kekowa's berating of Sirus, which sent him into yet more fits. His stomach muscles were getting a little sore.

Still, Sirus was a rather smooth operator. Xellos strongly believed he should take things slowly with Natalie, but he couldn't shake the nagging fear that Natalie might be whisked away by the speedster before his approach ever bore fruit.

Without warning, Professor Bloodmoon saw a target, and took off in a blink to engage it, leaving Natalie alone in the blank void.

"...ja, I suppose I should have known I was going to do naught but support...well, Tamiko, where are you?"

She trudged through the frost mindscape, and came across a lake. The frozen water was clear as can be, but so much under it seemed to be dead. The bodies of several odd denizens stood still and unblinking.

As a sudden gust of cold air wrapped around her, she suddenly had the sensation of many pairs of eyes staring at her. The eyes seemed to be coming from below the ice, and the ice it's self began to crack and break apart.

He slapped Sirus on the back.

Still, Sirus was a rather smooth operator. Xellos strongly believed he should take things slowly with Natalie, but he couldn't shake the nagging fear that Natalie might be whisked away by the speedster before his approach ever bore fruit.

When she turned around, along with the eyes came several hands from the ice. Impulsively, she gathered chi and psionic energy between two fingers and shot a blast of combined abstract force at her pursuers.

Standing up from his seat, Xing placed a hand on his friend's shoulder and said, "Either way, I'm just going to see things are going over there." Beggining to take his leave, Xing turned around and said, "Oh, and Dean? Remember to be careful with the Shingan."

Waving a small good-bye, Xing was about to take one more step before he felt a strong pressure on his wrist. Whoever had him was strong, but Xing had enough training to get out of this situation. Twisting his body, Xing leaped in the middle of his turn and delivered a strong kick to the rib cage of whoever had him. It did not faze the man one bit.

"Good to see that you still know how to react, Xing." The man said, smiling, "Though this certainly wasn't how I was expecting to be greeted by my son after four years."

"Fu Qin?" The tension that took over Xing's muscles relaxed, and a smile split his face, "Father, it's you!"

As Lin Yong released his grip on his son, Xing immediately prostrated to the man that had took him in six years ago.

"Father, do not misunderstand my suprise for lack of joy at being reunited with you, but why are you here?"

Eh? Dean thought to himself. Xing didnt make it twenty feet before he ended up talking to some guy Dean had never seen before and they just attacked each other. Dean couldnt understand what was going on between the two, but it sounded pretty passionate.Atleast from what he knew of the Chinese language, which was nothing.

It probally wasnt anything important, just some random squabble, but Dean wasnt going to risk having his friend killed, because he decided to go get something to eat. He'd check things out, and if it was all good, that's great, and if not...

Dear Mom, how's it going back home? This Arcadia school for fighters is a very interesting place as the paper said it would be. I've gotten much stronger, and made quite a few freinds along the way......man m y friends, elt me tell you abotu them. Dean.is from someplace in AMerica called Nevada. He's really really tough, and pretty agile for a guy of his build and style (he's a wrestler). There's this guy kekowa, a gangmember from Japan. He's really.........well he says what's on his mind a lot......i'll put it that way. There's the Savage brothers too, Henry and SIrius. I don't talk to Henry as much, considering he's the quiet one, but Sirius is cool. This Xing guy, seems to be like Dean's understudy but he's cool. Lei wevi, or whichever ishis anme is is a monk. an ACTUAL monk mom! I met a guy named Xelloss, who knows REAL magic, and so does this girl anmed Rhia. Justin and tamiko have ben kidn of quiet but we were on a quest together and kicked ass! THen there's Natalie....she's been really helpful. She's been like my buddy. OH yeah Daichi and Ramon! two fo my friends are lost in some vortex or some mess! isn'tthatnutsmom!?somuchcrazystuffhashappenedherey ou'dhavetobeheretoseeitandbelieveit!...... Sorry, I did it again, got a little too excited. That's me though, your baby boy! He's almost as fast as me mom! You should see me now! I'm so quick I bet I could run on water! She smiled and waved as she walked over to them, sitting down neatly, then collapsing on an empty sofa.

Then looking to his father, Xing motioned to Dean, "And this is one of my classmates in Arcadia, Dean Gaitlin, a scion of the Old Nevadian Clan."

Gasping in amazement, Yong observed Dean, "Truly? Are you a descendant of those of Old Nevada? As a youth, while others were content to merely engage on thoughtless playtime, I had often read of great civilizations which bred invincible heroes, and the Old Nevadians were certainly one of the most prominent warriors of the ages."

However, her smile instantly disappeared as she saw Xellos and Sirus with Natalie, both attempting to woo the girl she loved. Tempted to walk over and begin her own attempt again, she stopped before taking two steps, old doubts rearing up again.

'Maybe that guy was right...' Selma thought, feeling the tears well up in her eyes. However, she fought them back, thinking 'No! Natalie's your friend, and you're just being selfish if you think your happiness outweighs her's. She'll love who she loves, and nothing can stop that!'

Selma nodded as she thought 'You should be happy for her, and just be glad that she's your friend, especially after all the stunts you pulled against her when she doesn't feel the same way!'

However, she could feel a small part of her heart breaking even as she tried to pep herself up.

"But that is the path they choose, and thus the path they will walk on. For warriors as powerful as they, pain and suffering are tools which they take in and then crush. That is their way."

IC: Kekowa laid on his bead hands behind his head. Visions of battle swirled in his mind. As he closed his eyes he could feel as if he was back home...

*First of many flashbacks*

A young boy of 13 looked over his High school, "It will be only a few months before Vacation is over and these halls are full, and soon I will be 14, spending 3 and ahalf years over seas has done me well." He thought to himself. "I must prepare. I have studied under the Hardest masters in Asia to be as strong and powerful as I could in a short time. I will use this strength to stop the fighting between the schools of Kanto and usher in a new era of peace."

He walked the streets, Tokyo could be a mean city after dark, muggings, death, corruption, all abound. He noticed a dude with slicked back hair and a cheesy suit hassling a shop keeper "Comon old man, if ya dont pay up who knows what could happen, someone could waltz right in and smash the place up good." The elderly shop keep whimpered "Oh please times are tough what with the recession, please let me go." The other man laughed "Let you go? all's im asking for is a little donation to us needy..." Kekowa had heard enough as he passed the man he quickly chopped his back in two places. THe Suit fell like a stone. The shop keep grew scared. "Do you know who that was?" Kekowa looked down and saw the tat. The Yakuza symbol on the back of his neck stood out like a cattle brand "Yeah I do," Kekowa said still walking "but Ive broken his spie in two places I doubt he'll be walking and talking much less harrassing you anymore, besides if you dont tell I wont." Kekowa kept on walking into the dark corners of the city as he thought "Thats what Im here to do, use my strength to help those that cant help themselfs."

HE wandered into a unfamiluar land, a place so dark and dreary not even the police dare to tred. He heard whispers all around him, but he stood still as the wind. a fist came out of the darkness, but it was far too slow. Kekowa caught it and threw the body to the ground. Suddenly a large group of shadows formed around him. "Who are you?!" Kekowa cried out. The Mob did not respond. Kekowa turned his attention to the preteen before him tears welling up in his eyes. "Who are you?" He did not answer, so Kekowa sqeezed his fist cracking fingers and putting extreme pressure on the hand. "AHHH ok please stop." Kekowa backed the tension slightly "Who are you you are you here?" The boy looked up at Kekowa "I am.. uh.. Usei Shinimei and these are the .. oh..the shadow boys." Kekowa backed the tension up a little bit more "Why are you here?" Usei started to sniffle "We are the refuse, the unwanted, we exist because we scrounge and steal, we protect our land from those who want to hurt us." Kekowa released his grip, but Usei clutched it "Here me know, I am Kekowa Hasegawa, I have studied for years to be the worlds greatest fighter and use that strength to help those that cannot help themselfs. I see you are in most need of me. IC: Kekowa laid on his bead hands behind his head. Visions of battle swirled in his mind. As he closed his eyes he could feel as if he was back home...

*First of many flashbacks*

A young boy of 13 looked over his High school, "It will be only a few months before Vacation is over and these halls are full, and soon I will be 14, spending 3 and ahalf years over seas has done me well." He thought to himself. "I must prepare. I have studied under the Hardest masters in Asia to be as strong and powerful as I could in a short time. I will use this strength to stop the fighting between the schools of Kanto and usher in a new era of peace."

He walked the streets, Tokyo could be a mean city after dark, muggings, death, corruption, all abound. He noticed a dude with slicked back hair and a cheesy suit hassling a shop keeper "Comon old man, if ya dont pay up who knows what could happen, someone could waltz right in and smash the place up good." The elderly shop keep whimpered "Oh please times are tough what with the recession, please let me go." The other man laughed "Let you go? all's im asking for is a little donation to us needy..." Kekowa had heard enough as he passed the man he quickly chopped his back in two places. THe Suit fell like a stone. The shop keep grew scared. "Do you know who that was?" Kekowa looked down and saw the tat. The Yakuza symbol on the back of his neck stood out like a cattle brand "Yeah I do," Kekowa said still walking "but Ive broken his spie in two places I doubt he'll be walking and talking much less harrassing you anymore, besides if you dont tell I wont." Kekowa kept on walking into the dark corners of the city as he thought "Thats what Im here to do, use my strength to help those that cant help themselfs."

HE wandered into a unfamiluar land, a place so dark and dreary not even the police dare to tred. He heard whispers all around him, but he stood still as the wind. a fist came out of the darkness, but it was far too slow. Kekowa caught it and threw the body to the ground. Suddenly a large group of shadows formed around him. "Who are you?!" Kekowa cried out. The Mob did not respond. Kekowa turned his attention to the preteen before him tears welling up in his eyes. "Who are you?" He did not answer, so Kekowa sqeezed his fist cracking fingers and putting extreme pressure on the hand. "AHHH ok please stop." Kekowa backed the tension slightly "Who are you you are you here?" The boy looked up at Kekowa "I am.. uh.. Usei Shinimei and these are the .. oh..the shadow boys." Kekowa backed the tension up a little bit more "Why are you here?" Usei started to sniffle "We are the refuse, the unwanted, we exist because we scrounge and steal, we protect our land from those who want to hurt us." Kekowa released his grip, but Usei clutched it "Here me know, I am Kekowa Hasegawa, I have studied for years to be the worlds greatest fighter and use that strength to help those that cannot help themselfs. I see you are in most need of me. Dean blinked in surprise. He would have greated Ramus, or welcomed his Mother, but her statment took him completely off guard. That, and she was suprisingly hot. Dean, being a good friend, realized it was inappropriate to drool at Ramus' mother, and summoned his manners and self control.

"Umm.." Dean started, still not completely recovered for the unexpected outburst. "Hi?"

Eventually Levi went over to his fallen monk's spade, picking it up. Though he may have gotten a legendary weapon, the spade was one of his personal possessions. "Today has been an eventful day, I must admit." He finally said.
