Jericho looked at Kelly.


"I'm amazed at their ability to work together. Most students never come close to this level right out the gate. Heck, most never even get by the second teacher still conscious. I think we have a lot of potential here, Kelly. Now, to see if they can make it through Chopper, you, and then Sofia."

Jericho smiled.

"You already met him a bit ago. He should be finishng up with the dragon right about now. He'll be your next opponent"

Jericho laughed at the look on his face.

Kicking up his monk's spade, he caught it before once more holding it behind his back. Looking to Tamiko, he nodded. "Very well done, my friend."


It took her a moment before Levi's voice began to register. Tamiko then turned to him and gave a weak smile, trying to hide her uneasness.

A hint of bloodlust flashed in her eyes as she held the spear in her hand. Staring at Bloodmoon, Tamiko could feel the urge to continue fighting. Forcing herself to calm down, her spear finally dissapeared as her hand began to shake. Grabbing her right hand with her left, she held it, trying to make it stop. It took a while before she was able to calm herself down.

Jericho laughed at the look on his face.


"No, no. Not the Guardian. The other fellow."

"The other fellow..." Selma asked, thinking for a few moments before it clicked in her mind as she asked "Y-you mean the little Tanuki?"

It took her a moment before Levi's voice began to register. Tamiko then turned to him and gave a weak smile, trying to hide her uneasness.

Justin walking up after catching his breath gave Tamiko a thumbs up and smiled. "Way to go Tamiko" he said then went to one knee to rest. "I'd hug you but Im little tired and sore right now. So maybe later".

"So...three more trials to go..." Thankfully he wasn't hurt too badly, for the only injury he had were a few bruises and his right arm, which came from his own technique. Though tempted to put back his monk's spade, he decided that he might need it again.

With a scream, Bloodmoon breaks the gravity spell, sending Peter flying back. This allows Justine, Whinsky, and Kekowa to close in and get her attention, which allowed Selma's fireballs to hit Bloodmoon, blowing her back. Grolwing, she TK's the three toward Selma, only to turn at Xello's call, a look of confusion/bewildermnet on her face.


This allows Natalie to snag her and begins prying the necklace off. Grappling with her, Lucia never sees Tamiko's pyschic spear heading her way until it clips her neck, taking the necklace off with a clean cut.


Bloodmoon stops the fight suddenly.


"Well done. You have bested me."

Xellos grinned in satisfaction.

He made an elegant bow, extending the hand with the hat.

"Much obliged Mr Mourn."

With that, a blue aura surrounded the group and suddenly injuries were healed. The spell also restored some of your lost energy, ki/magic/or psychic.


"Now then, once Anselm shows up, we can begin again."

Kekowa normally clam had a worried look on his face. He had seen his old fights and knew that was a very bad thing.

Although he was grateful, he wasnt to worried about his next opponet. HE was waiting for Kelly.

"Thank you." He said with a bow as she healed him. His right arm felt good as new, and he was sure he could use his special technique once more. Upon learning who their next opponant was, he could only imagine what art the one named Chopper was a master of.

"Ah, Anselm, just in time. The students have defeated myself and Lucia here and it's time for you to have a go. Be careful, we have quite a few tricky ones here"

OT: Crap, finally read through and caught up with everything. Can't believe I missed the first two fights! Okay Vakanai, quick, find a way to rp this...

IC: While his fellow students had been quickly fighting the first two battles with their new instructors, Hunter had been on the sidelines, paralyzed with fear. He had let his constant fear of pain get the better of him, and now with this briefest of respites he began to feel the harsh sting of shame. It hadn't even been a day, and already he had failed his fellow students and disappointed his instructors. He could not continue to let his fear get in his way. Quickly he brought his mind and body together in unity, his mental energies and his chi weaving and merging into one another, combining into a dark aura that ate the light around him and plunged his features into shadow. He was ready to fight now.

Jericho looked at Kelly, his smile dimming a tad.

"We are here to train them, not kill them, Kelly. I know it goes against your grain to hold back. Truth be told, it does me too. "Ah, Anselm, just in time. The students have defeated myself and Lucia here and it's time for you to have a go. Be careful, we have quite a few tricky ones here"

Peter pushed his glasses higher up on his nose so that they were resting on the bridge, putting his guitar and umbrella back down. Like everyone else here, he thought, This guy probably has some wacky powers, especially if he's so small.

He turned towards Jericho, "Do we begin?"

Upon glancing at him again, Natalie was sure that Anselm was some sort of cherubic reindeer, but she did not drop her guard.

Tanuki are mischievous shape-shifters, she thought to herself, low-totem spiritual beings with minds of deception! Still, even if they tamed one...I wish Rhia or someone with blessed steel were around!

Whispering once again the incantation, "En dur wille zur Zeit", she summoned forth the Astral Avatar once again to heighten her senses, watching and waiting.

Anselm smiled and tossed his gun to Jericho, saying "I'm not using my gun for this test. And to win, you must find some way to impress me."

Holding his "arms" behind him, he smiled nicely as he said "Now, you may begin when you're ready."

He sent forth a burst of dark chi energy from his fist, trying his best to gauge the instructor's thoughts and movements so Hunter could control the direction of the blast with his mind, like a heat seeking missile.

Looking toward Hunter, Anselm suddenly yelped in fear, eyes widening as he fell backward onto his rear, placing his "hands" on the ground to keep himself seated up despite the fall.

As he looked at Hunter, a rock pillar shot upward from the ground, connecting with the psychic's stomach and connecting with his gut, sending him flying backwards.

Blinking, Anselm suddenly smiled as he returned to his feet, looking over the students.

"Well, here goes nothing..." With that Levi flung his monk's spade high into the air and dashed toward Anselm. Sending his right heel toward the small instructor's stomach, he attempted to launch the other backward, however, regardless of his success of not, Levi leapt backwards some. Gathering ki into his right palm again, neon green sparks of energy danced about his arm as the dark green orb of energy formed. It was only when the monk's spade descended between Anselm and Levi that the monk struck.

Striking the spade end of the staff weapon, the explosion of green ki propelled the weapon toward Anselm; the crescent end aimmed toward the small one's throat, followed by the wave of green energy; though it was losing its strength the farther it went.

Dean yawned loudly, streching his arms as wide as he could while leaning slightly backwards. As he did, you could hear his back cracking from his streching.

"Hmm, well, I suppose I cant just around here all day and wait to take a nap" Dean said as he quickly pulled out a pair of black fingerless gloves from his pocket, and put them on.

"Alright, here we go."

As Hunter began to fall he sent his thoughts into the instructor's mind as best he could, frantically searching for any thought, any clue into what his next attack would be. He brought forth his chi energy to control his descent, weaving about in the sky as best he could, trying to make himself as difficult a target as possible. He suddenly sent forth another chi blast, this time in the sky above him, propelling him downwards even faster...

Dean yawned loudly, streching his arms as wide as he could while leaning slightly backwards. As he did, you could hear his back cracking from his streching.

"Hmm, well, I suppose I cant just around here all day and wait to take a nap" Dean said as he quickly pulled out a pair of black fingerless gloves from his pocket, and put them on.

Natalie, pondering what Anselm meant by being impressed, deduced from the last effort that the quality he was looking for was teamwork and coordination.

Much of the group shied away from this current engagement, fewer people were in the fight but there were still great extremes of power.

She spotted Dean among them, the large muscular sophomore with whome she had mused with coconuts before.

"Herr Dean! Please wait a moment, Herr Anselm is deceptively powerful! We must collaborate on this."

She summoned forth her Astral Avatar again, keeping one set of eyes on teh diminuitive instructor.

Quickly sizing up his instructor, Dean rushed towards the pillar that Anselm had created to injure hunter and with a shout kicked it into the air, as large chucks of rock.

"And.....Now!" Dean yelled with a shout.

As the larger pieces began to descend down, he quickly threw two punches, a left and right hook at two of them, lauching them toward Anselm with great speed.

"Whoops, almost forgot".

As the largest piece began to descend, Dean quickly delivered a sidekick to the massive piece of rock, launching it with such speed it was only feet behind the previous pieces he had launched.

The wind was knocked from his lungs as he tumbled in the air before coming down with a hearty thud. Pain shot through his body like electricity, but he ignored it as he got to his feet. "A fascinating being you are..." He murmured respectfully to Anselm as he finally resumed a stance. It seems Anselm was looking for something in particular, but what?

Suddenly, she saw Hunter engaged in an acrobatic, energetic maneuver.

"Shit!" Dean yelled in annoyance as Anselm easily dealt with his attack. "This is really going to be a pain in the ass."

Watching Hunter descend towards him, Anselm blinked in surprise and shrunk again, running out of the way as Hunter unwittingly fell into the way of Dean's projectiles. Anselm skidded to a stop and yelped in surprise before sending a magical wave towards them, sending both Hunter and the projectiles off-course, the rocks landing harmlessly on the ground.

"Be careful!" Anselm yelled, wiping the sweat from his brow.

Rocks hit him, blood fell, and Hunter's world became pain. He had the chi energies of the brawlers, but he held none of their strength or endurance, and those speeding rocks were just a hair higher than what a normal person was expected to take without serious injuries. He felt three ribs break, his stomach felt horrid, and he was coughing up blood. He knew he was going to feel this in the morning, hell, he felt it now, but he had sent his pyschic and chi energies into his mind, forcing it to unleash a massive dose of andrenaline and endorphins into his system to help ease the pain. He then stopped thinking of his body, shutting off the pain receptors in his body. He stood back up, and simply said, "anyone got a better plan before I go flying off in another kamikaze run?"

Encircling the area, he retrieved his monk's spade. Watching Anselm and the others, he pondered on just what was impressived to one such as Anselm.

Leaping out of the way of the Zerstauben, Anselm smiled to her and said "Nice try... but you'll have to do better than that." and slammed his "fist" to the ground, causing a crack to shoot toward her, the ground splitting open beneath her feet as the crack reached her.

Her empathic powers, as with the previous two instructors, gave a mild precognition as to the emotional content of their actions. Still, her body could only react so fast, and the invisible hands of her Astral Avatar only just saved her by crashing themselves into the sides of the stone crack beneath her, gripping it tight. With a great thrust, Natalie expelled herself upward and landed awkwardly on her knee. It would be a moment before she could summon the spirit to aid her again, so she drew her wand, and fired a second shot at Anselm.

Rocks hit him, blood fell, and Hunter's world became pain. He had the chi energies of the brawlers, but he held none of their strength or endurance, and those speeding rocks were just a hair higher than what a normal person was expected to take without serious injuries. He felt three ribs break, his stomach felt horrid, and he was coughing up blood. He knew he was going to feel this in the morning, hell, he felt it now, but he had sent his pyschic and chi energies into his mind, forcing it to unleash a massive dose of andrenaline and endorphins into his system to help ease the pain. He then stopped thinking of his body, shutting off the pain receptors in his body. He stood back up, and simply said, "anyone got a better plan before I go flying off in another kamikaze run?"

As Dean looked over at his ally, who he had Inadverdently introduced to three massive pieces of rocks at at a quite an impressive speed, and the damage it had done he quickly slapped himself in the head.

"Damnit!" Dean yelled in annoyance and anger at not chosing a better time to launch his attack. "Sorry Hunter!"

Dean quickly looked at Anslem and tried to determine a course of action.

Damnit, his size changing is a pain in the ass. I could probally punt him at his normal size, but he'd turn big and send me flying for the attempt. And thats not even counting his magical abilities

The only way that would work if he was distracted at the time, and even then, his magical abilites would probally end up stopping the attack. Unless he didnt see it coming, which was possible in theory, but unlikely in execution.

Hunter decided to go for the air again. He sent a chi blast into the ground, propelling him up and over the now changed instructor. He just hoped he'd do better this time than he did last time. He sent his thought's into Anselm's mind, picking up his surface thoughts and changing his descending attack accordingly. "Please no more rocks," Hunter prayed to whatever god was listening.

"Quick" was all Dean had to think about his instructors new form, before he connected his foot with the side of Deans face. Anselm had kicked Dean with such speed and force that he flipped, and rolled twenty feet.

Although he had been hit, Dean could withstand an impressive amount of punishment, and as so, although he had been hit, the damage didnt impair his ablities to much.

With a sigh, he quickly picked himself up, and joined in on the attack.

He then saw a tree, leapt off it and started throwing the rocks at anselm.

Dashing in like a wraith, Xellos channelled his frost master technique through his staff, freezing the walls and rising floor and preventing it from closing. Following through his swing, he knocked through the ground beneath the Tanukis' feet, tripping him back into it. The frozen surfaces should prevent him from making a hasty escape.

He then skipped out of the way for Natalie and Dean to attempt the coup de grace.

When the debris settled, Natalie had managed to use the last remnants of the Astral Avatar to bind Anselm, making stand still and prone, though she struggled incredibally hard to keep him there, fighting to stay awake.

"My test is a very simple one" he said as he slowly pulled the sword out of it's straps. "You are going to have to...." he began as he completely pulled out the 6'0 sword named Horace. "...cut me." he said with a sinister smile as he held his sword, pointing it towards the students.

As he held it, the weapon gave off a eerie black glow that caught he students attention.

Hunter's wounds had been healed by the magic, which was impressive considering just how badly mangled his body had been when he slammed into the ground. Had he regained conciousness he would ponder how lucky he must've been to not have fatally broken his neck. But though his injuries were healed and the pain was gone, the magic hadn't quite restored all his energy, and the concussive oblivion turned into a relaxed sleep.

Kelly moved his arm so that the blade passed through the fabric of his sleeve, and out the other end, nearly missing his flesh by mere fraction of an inch. Kelly could feel the cold spear tip right along his flesh, chilling him to the bone.

"Nice try" he smirked.

Kelly turned took the seeth, and nailed Xellos in the side of the neck.

Although the healing energies had taken care of his other injuries, due to his position of lying ontop of his arm, the magic had been unable to relocate his arm. And a dislocated shoulder hurt like hell.

If she's as strong as the others, we're not really expected to win, Rhia mused. Makes sense, I guess, otherwise we wouldn't need instructors. They're just interested in seeing what we are capable off. Might as well try to have fun.



"Well, at least I get to take you on fresh and rested," Rhia said, unhooking her sword and handing it to Jericho. "Sir, would you please hold this for me. I don't want it damaged." She then faced the blond woman and fell into a loose stance.

She smiled. "Ready when you are."

Ruman then went over to Hunter, and with a quick jerk, popped his shoulder back into place.

Kelly then nodded tot he blond doctor and proceeded to walk off the field. As Dean stood by watching the next begin, he wondered who else would step foward to challenge the Doctor. He could tell you who was not going to step fowards, however.

I could help out but I dont really feel like it.

Dean was tired. Although his body was not injured, it felt tired. It demanded a nap, and he just didnt like doing much in such a state.

What's the best way to help them without getting involved?

As he watched the current challenge progress, he had his answer.

Dean, to tired to put on a proper show, did the next best thing, by moving his pectorals to an invisable beat which only he can hear.

Noticing Ruman was focussing on Peter she pulled out one of her o-fuda and threw it in Ruman's direction. When most of the way there it she made a gesture with one hand and the single o-fuda became dozens.

He charged again, this time staying on the defensive, hoping to use his Gravity Shell to his advantage. If he was lucky, it would slow her attacks enough for him to find an opening. If he wasn't, then he could always just go back to using Crush.

She snuck up behind the woman and wrapped her arms around the teacher's waist, easily lifting her off the ground in a picture-perfect German Suplex, keeping her grip on the teacher during the move to make sure she didn't escape or flip onto her feet.

Ramon’s game face was on. Feeling pretty damn good about himself, he ran towards his new found team-mate, Dai and prepared for their next attack. He felt a little hyped doing this one. After the successful turn out of his few little gravity tricks, he decided to mix it up once against.

Ramon put his two pointer fingers up as he concentrated on his magical powers. When he felt that he had everything in mind, he called out to Dai to grab onto his back. Ramon closed his fingers into a fist and called out the words “SHIELD!”

A huge bubble erupted around them, and it seems as if the bubble was repelling everything close to him. Smirking, Ramon and Dai started to walk towards Ruman. Getting close enough to Ruman, while maintaining a good distance, Ramon sprung into action. When he first used this attack, he described this attack as a van buster, and it never let him down since. Taking a deep breath, Ramon paused… than, when he felt ready, he yelled out the words “UMBRA REPULSO!”

Ramon’s hands began to glow yellow and black and people and things started to become attracted towards him. Than Ramon let everything go, including the shield as everyone flew with waves of gravity tinged with darkness. Ramon nodded quickly to Dai, as Dai dashed out into the wave of tinged gravity darkness….

Then she noticed, it was the self-same doctor who was holding back the next group of the student body by her lonesome with an inhuman speed. Perhaps Natalie was groggy, for she could swear she saw the instructor in five or six different places at once.

"Ah! I can neither see her move, nor sense her intention before she's already done it! Sonderbar!" she spoke aloud

Then another forboding thought entered her mind, and she spoke it out into the air again.

"Mein Gottin, if she can reassemble several bodies with but one incantation, she must know the spiritual composition inside and out!"

Rhia found that untangling herself from Selma was slightly more difficult the one might expect. "Sorry," she mumbled and got up.

This one is way too fast and agile to hit with straight forward attacks, she decided. It would take superior tactics, great control and a whole lot of luck.

Exactly the things I happen to suck at, Rhia sighed inwardly. Oh well, guess I better improvise.

Alexia moved as quickly as she could in an attempt to get behind Ruman and steal her headband. "Wait for it..." she whispered to herself.

Rhia noted Alexia's second attempt at a back-attack. Teamwork will be important. Maybe I can distract her long enough for Alexia to get a hit in?

"Hey, teach!" she called, taking a stance and powering up her chi in her hands. If Lex succedes, great. If Rumon takes her out, I take my chance with a Thunderstorm Cannon.

Meanwhile, Peter began to gather a large amount of magical energy, ready to unleash it all at once should Ruman knock back the others. He didn't want to catch the others in his attack, but if they were defeated, it didn't look like he would have any other choice.

If Peter hesitated, he was confident that she would notice his gathered magical energy and take him out before he could unleash it. Because of this, he silently hoped that the other managed to get the headband off.

Xellos rubbed his neck. Kellys' fight reading was quite extraordinary to avoid the dozens of icicles piercing his sleeve.

Observing the meelee, Xellos smelt trouble. Grabbing a womans' ponytail was not only painful, but alarming. It would be natural for the doctor to use more power than she initially intended, enough to throw off everyone.

He would need to force her off her feet. The continual pulling on her ponytail while she was airborne ought to throw off her sense of balance.

Molding ice magic into his staff, he threw it at the ground just behind Dr. Rumens' feet. As it hit, the energies released themselves into the ground, blooming rapidly into a semi "ice flower", every petal jagged and aimed in a 180 degree arc with her calves square in the middle. Her legs would be impaled or she would be forced airborne and tumble from the weight behind her head. Either way, her footing was lost.

At the moment, he's getting the group to gank each teacher, he'll be expecting it. If you read carefully, we're actually nudging the story along with each post (though actual events like the defeat of a major opponent or change of venue of course depends on Cleric) and the DMs are picking what parts they accept and reject.

Hunter stared at the explosive attack. He had been roughly two feet from the perimeter of the blast and chill wind. He was thinking that his lack of speed might not be such a bad thing afterall. He blasted the ground with chi energies, trying to go airborne for an aerial attack. He was blasted only three feet up.
"Guess all this fighting has drained my chi energies," Hunter muttered to himself. All he could do now was read her thoughts and see if he could find a plan to help his fellow class mates.

Justin forcing himself to his feet. Gave Ruman a defieant glare, refusing to go down for long. He then gathered his satrength and made a fierc charge at Ruman. DOing his best to keep his mind off the pain and freezing wave hitting him. Forcing his body to move forward.

Feeling he may give out before getting there. He made a leap with using his Ki, at Ruman and threw a punch at her jaw.

Alexia was dazed, and was in agony from the fall and subsequent freezing.

Alexia followed the icon's instructions, beating back the ice that had formed on her body and restoring her condition. Even so, she was weakened and tired from the battering.

From the sideline, Anselm, using a spell to keep himself warm, called out "Ruman... I think you're going overboard! They've literally just got here for crying out loud!"

"If you can blast enough of the ground below her and around her, and attack with iron if you got it, you might stand a better chance."

As he came down he outstretched one arm into a claw to grab her head, and reared the other back to deliver a nasty punch. He reinforced his Gravity Shell as best he could, gripping his sword tightly. He knew with his shield, he could survive one of his own attacks, but he doubted she would be able to dodge, or expect him to perform such an attack at close range, where he would also be caught.

Shouting a battle cry, he began to swing his sword through the air as he charged Ruman.

Sirus let go to blasts of lighting at Ruman while Henry sent wave after wave of concussive force.

Instantly, she threw the bokens she had been spinning. Each bokken shattered into a thousand burning/freezing shards and assaulted the students even as Ruman was shot by lightning, concusive force pushes (the brothers), Alexia's attack, Justin's firebomb, ect....., blasting her back and hurting her badly.


A large explosion occurs after the atatcks ettle, and Rumon is shown still standing. Her clothes are tattered, she's bleeding, her hair lose, but the band still in place. She is now weaponless.

Selma cried out as she was hit, sent flying backwards from the power of the attack. At the last moment she managed to place her hands on the ground and flip back onto her feet. Cringing, she turned to Ruman and charged the doctor, moving quickly as she thrust a kick at her gut, preparing another Hiken.


Anselm cringed as he watched Rumen fight, turning away as he did so. If necessary, he was willing to stop Rumen himself.

Justin did his best to dodge the shards. But many of them cut him, but thankfully non impaled him. Falling to the ground as he dodged the last one coming at him. He then through another firebomb at Rumon's torso.

While charging her head on hadn't been the smartest thing to do, Peter got lucky. If he hadn't reinforced his Gravity Shell, he'd probably be a pincushion. As it was, he was still covered in the shards, but they did not cut very deep, and Peter had managed to shield his face before the shards made contact.

For the third time that day, Peter was incredibly grateful for his unprecedented resistance to damage.

Peter continued to press forward, the shards slightly hampering his movements as he brought his sword down in a diagonal slash at Rumon's torso.

Though she was at a distance, merely watching, from her seated position Natalie was blasted so hard from just the shock that she rolled backward.

Not only is she incredibly fast, but her casting speed and power are awesome as well! I do not know what I can possibly do...

She took the lightning bolt stright up, though, along with the concusive slap, which knocked her toward Tamiko.
