Ramon and Diachi looked on as a bright flash from the tear blinded the entire stadium. When the light faded, Daichi and Ramon were gone, and the arena was empty.



And silence rained.

"Nani da yo?! Where did they go?" Tomoe asked as Daichi and Ramon were suddenly gone. Though he wish he knew, Levi didn't know and just hoped that that the two of them could return.

Kekowa began to pick up huge chunks of earth and rock and hurled them at her. In Rapid susscion it was as if Kekowa threw a mountain at her. "Lets rock bitch!" Under the cover of the Rock silde Kekow began to move around Her ready to strike.

I don't think you could've chosen a better, more appropriate entrance for Kekowa. Its the first post in this RPG in which I've actually found him slightly awesome.

The kick landed true and propelled her out of the arena.


Shaking, a bruise forming on her back, Shakra turned a deadly glare towards Kekowa.

Getting up, she hovered off the ground as she eased back over the arena surface before she was 10 counted out.


She raised her baton, and dark clouds formed over the arena.

"Take this, Hell Storm!"


Dozens, if not hundreds of bolts of lightning began to rain down on Kekowa's position.

She just shook her head and started nibbling her nails, eyes unblinking, streaming with silent tears and more babble.

"Presence, no presence...spiritual absensce...matter shift, soul swallow..."

Growing more agitated she pulled at her hair and continued on in German.

"(I don't know what to do...can't feel, the rift, the rift, planar collapse...)"

Xing stood still, jaw agape as Dean was batted away so easily. Then he tried his turn at it, leaping into the air gracefully and slashing a wave of chi at the monster.

"Nevada! Ohh!"

The monster's form seemed to blur slightly, the chi wave missing by a hair's breathe.

Shrieking again, it leaped up and back kicked/raked Xing away, leaving eight shallow, bloody slashes across Xing's chest.

"Temporal/spacial distortion," she solemnly, weakly said,"It is nigh impossible to reverse. Even if we could find them, what could we do about it?"

She downcast her eyes again. It seemed that the odds were hopeless, Daichi and Ramon would be just as good as dead.

"God damnit!" Dean yelled, before launching a kick at the monster, creating a wave of pressurized air, aimed towards the beast.

"I do not know. Gethen's spell was interupted and had massive consequences. It apparently tore open the very fabric of time and space, and sucked poor Diachi and Ramon into it. I can feel the trail, where the rift heads off into, but even I don't know where it leads."

It was hard to breath, and she doubted even all of Arcadia could reverse the happenings. The sheer amount of energy would be devastating, the danger in tapping into such ancient primordial forces was too much.

As Justin began to wake a few hours after the attack. "That was faster then I expected" Chiaki said as she watched the fights. Bored by the students performance.

"Wh-what did you do to me?!" Justin growled in a aggresive tone as his head was punding with pain. His entire body ached at the slightest movement and he was filled with a cold hateful anger he couldnt describe or understand.

"I poisoned you" Chiaki said in a childish tone with her tongue sticking at him. "You'll probably be like that for the rest of the day" she began laughing some.

"W-why?! Why did you do that?!" Just asked even more angered and betrayed.

Dean quickly dived out the entrance of the cave, and embeded his sword in the Canyon walls, using it to stop his decent.

He then pushed himself off the wall, and aimed another sword slash towards his opponent.

"I dont know if we can outclimb this thing!" Dean shouted during the attack.

Pulling back, he turned to Kelly and nodded to him.

"You're in charge until I get back, Kelly. Keep them safe. You too, Anselm."

With a final look to Lucia and Sofia, both of which had tears in their eyes, Jericho's staff erupted in a blaze of power. His eyes turned silver and a black/blue switrling rift opened in front of him.

He stepped through and disappeared from the face of the planet.

Shakra, without her wand, summoned forth a crude barrier spell and used it to deflect the blows.

But the barrier was a poorly and hastily designed one, and she had to use a lot of energy to keep it up.

Chiaki led Justin out to the back of the arena. "Okay boy, we'll start now" she said as she used her right hand to make several hand symbols and disturbing speeds. Then placed her hand to the floor and created a small ugly monster.

Justin looked at the creature with a WTF kind of expression. "Am I suppose to be afraid of that thing?" he asked, not impressed by the laughing and seemingly insane little monster.

Chiaki shrugged. "It doesnt matter if your afriad of it or not. But you shouldnt underestimate such things" she said as the monster suddenly began jumping at Justin. It was slow by their standards so he was able to dodge it and punt the monster away. "Is that it Teacher!?".

Chiaki simply smiled and held her hand to the monsters. Ki built up and launched a stream of water into the monster. The Gremlin began laughing insanley as the water hit it and to Justin's surpise. The creature began multiplying rapily. One made two, two made four, four made either. The creature continued to multiply until their numbers were in the hundreds and Chiaki stopped firing water at it.

"Still think it isnt that threatening Justin?" Chiaki smiled, the creatures now began swarming toward him.

Selma frowned as she felt Natalie tense up somewhat. Pulling back enough so she could look into her face, Selma was about to ask her but stopped. Natalie's eyes seemed... different somehow.

They didn't look like the familiar orbs that seemed to radiate brightness that Selma had looked in so many times, they appeared different. Darker.

"Natalie, what's the matter? Are you... Are you OK?" Selma asked, studying Natalie's face as she asked.

Sofia nodded, wipping the tears from her eyes.

"Indeed, with Jericho gone, we need to re-position ourselves in case Solarius attacks."

Shakra, without her wand, summoned forth a crude barrier spell and used it to deflect the blows.

But the barrier was a poorly and hastily designed one, and she had to use a lot of energy to keep it up.

Kekowa could see clear as day that the sheild was failing, Since he was close he hurled the rest of them at her casing 5the sheild to fail slightly a hole had appeared that was being repaired slowly. But Kekowa manged to throw his right fist hard through the hole before it was completed once again aimed right at her guts.

Xing scrambled up the wall trying to outpace the beast that followed them.

"By heaven! They must have been more terrible and awe inspiring than the Mongols, Xiong Nu, Huns, Spartans and Scythians combined!"


Dean continued embedding his sword in the Canyon walls, using his feet to kick off, launching him the other side of the walls, where he repeated the same technique.

"All I know, is that these guys are assholes! I've been cooked, whipped, and used as a punching bag all day! So much fucking pain!"

As Dean said this, the pupils of his eyes began to glow an erie red color....

Chiaki led Justin out to the back of the arena. "Okay boy, we'll start now" she said as she used her right hand to make several hand symbols and disturbing speeds. Then placed her hand to the floor and created a small ugly monster.

Justin looked at the creature with a WTF kind of expression. "Am I suppose to be afraid of that thing?" he asked, not impressed by the laughing and seemingly insane little monster.

Chiaki shrugged. "It doesnt matter if your afriad of it or not. But you shouldnt underestimate such things" she said as the monster suddenly began jumping at Justin. It was slow by their standards so he was able to dodge it and punt the monster away. "Is that it Teacher!?".

Chiaki simply smiled and held her hand to the monsters. Ki built up and launched a stream of water into the monster. The Gremlin began laughing insanley as the water hit it and to Justin's surpise. The creature began multiplying rapily. One made two, two made four, four made either. The creature continued to multiply until their numbers were in the hundreds and Chiaki stopped firing water at it.

"Still think it isnt that threatening Justin?" Chiaki smiled, the creatures now began swarming toward him.

Oh guys, btw, the ring is going to be the climax of this arc of the RPG. I've PMed Cleric of a continuation of a certain side story that will play out more fully after the current storyline. Right now it'll be mostly build up. I'm sure you guys can figure some of it out if you keep track of Ghost, Eternal Torment's and my posts.

So we're going to have more time to kick ass after this! And there'll be something that makes all RPG characters feel powerful: cannon fodder!

"Woah!" Dean yelled as he was pulled down by the Monsters Tendrils, barely able to hold onto his blade, still embeded in the rock.

"This....Is...Not...Good" Dean said, teeth clenched, struggling to keep from being pulled towards the beast.

Unfortunatley, his grip slipped.

"CRAP!" Dean yelled as he fell.

Tendrils wrapped all around Dean as they pulled him closer to the beast, it's talons and teeth ready to shred him to pieces.

Xing, who was ahead of Dean, heard his shout and looked back frantically, trying to figure out a way to help.

"Go get him kid" Jason yelled.

I beleive he once said it was like his mind moved too fast, and the fingers were always trying to catch up, thus the words get mushed together sometimes.

Justin leaped into the air away from the new horde of monsters. The monsters leaped aftr him and seemed to be better jumpers then even he was. Quickly reacting, Justin powered a fire blast and sent it slamming down on top of the icoming creatures. Incenarating them and then landing. The horde turned, unbothered by the death of their comrades and leaped at Justin. Quickly jumping backwars away from them to avoid. However it wasnt good enough to keep away from all of them. One biting his arm, another his shoulder, and a third biting his leg. They then began to claw at him.

This slowed him down and gave them time to dogpile him some more. Suddenly, in a firery explosion. Justin destroyed all of the monsters on him and near him. He was covered in numerous bite and scratch injuries. Blood trailing down almost everypart of his body.

Chiaki simply smiled and fire more water into the horde. "Singin' in the bathtub!" one the creatures called out as it imitated it was in the shower. Soing how much joy they got out of this.

Justin glared at the horde as he noticed they struggled to increase their numbers then quickly turned their attention back to Justin. Leaping after him, Justin launched two streams of fire at the monsters. Burning away their numbers and keeping away. But they swarmed him none the less. Jumping on him by the hundreds. They tore into him furiously with maniacal laughter.

Justin began to yell and growl at the pain they were inflicting onto him. The yelling began to die down as he focused. With a sudden explosion, the Gemlins went flying off of him. Justin had used his Shadow powers to build a shadow armor in the form of a T Rex around him. Breathingheavy while inside of it. "Alright you bastards, lets go.."

As Dean was dragged down towards the waiting teeth of the beast, drool coverd it's mouth. Dean struggled in vain to resist, his hands bleeding, as he was dragged down the wall, closer and closer to the beast.

Damn. I guess it's all over. To die in such a shameful way....

As he thought this, something in Dean seemed to snap. Was all his hardwork, and suffering for nothing? Had he come so close, only to fail?

As he thought about this, his mind flashedback to something Sabin had told him during thier training.

Sabin: Make no mistake, Dean. The way of our people is to suffer. To endure. To take strength from frienship, to take pride in love. To take everything you believe in- and turn it all into power. If you lack the strength to endure, Your future is death."

The white of Deans eyes turned blood red. He had no intention of coming so far, simply to fail. His people endured, and so would he, until the end.

With a scream of anger, Dean plunged his hand into the the Canyon wall. Using his free hand, Dean punched the wall repeatedly, causing part of the wall to become lose, falling down towards the Beast.

Cursing, Xing attempted a desperate maneuver. In spite of his injuries, he empowered his legs with chi and drove them into the cliff face. Then he leaned backwards, catching Dean's hand while dangling upside down. With his other hand he drew his dao and started to hack away at the monster's tendrils.

"To hell with monsters! To hell with dreamscapes!"

Selma frowned as she felt Natalie tense up somewhat. Pulling back enough so she could look into her face, Selma was about to ask her but stopped. Natalie's eyes seemed... different somehow.

They didn't look like the familiar orbs that seemed to radiate brightness that Selma had looked in so many times, they appeared different. Darker.

"Natalie, what's the matter? Are you... Are you OK?" Selma asked, studying Natalie's face as she asked.

She looked up silently.

"I believe I may have scratched the surface of the pain you hold everyday."

However, Dean's awakened strength and punches caused a good sized chunk of the cliff to break off, right on top of the beast.


Shrieking, it began to fall. Letting go of Dean's foot, it began the long plunge to the bottom.

She shuddered and groaned, the bitterness of loss still close to her heart.

Selma looked to Natalie, seeing the hurt in her eyes at the loss of Daichi and Ramon. Sighing, she held the witch close, still rubbing a series of small circles into her back in an attempt to comfort her.

'I-I'm sorry for being as pathetic as I am Natalie. I truly am sorry that I'm so useless that I don't have any way to help you or even provide you a small amount of comfort in your time of need.' Selma thought bitterly, her own heart aching for Natalie's loss and sorrow.

She looked up silently.

"I believe I may have scratched the surface of the pain you hold everyday."

Selma looked at Natalie silently for a few moments before closing her eyes and saying "I... I see. And I really am sorry that I can't help you when you need it most, like you've always been there to help me."

"Please... just please forgive me for my uselessness in this situation Natalie." Selma said, turning her head away from Natalie, unwilling to look her in the face.

Shakra smirked again.

She stamped her foot, and a bolt of lightning erupted underneathe Kekowa, badly burning his leg.

Frowning, Shakra leaped back a bt, keeping the distance between them. She wipe the sweat off her brow.

"Damn, I'm low on mana now. Stay down, damnit!"



"GET UP" Jason yelled Kekowa. "DON'T GIVE UP"

"Yeah boy" Willy yelled. "So them what you can do" he screamed.

Matsumoto just raised his hand above his head as a show of support.

"Take it to him" Robert said.

Xing's blade just pinged off the tendrils.

However, Dean's awakened strength and punches caused a good sized chunk of the cliff to break off, right on top of the beast.


Shrieking, it began to fall. Letting go of Dean's foot, it began the long plunge to the bottom.

Xing watched the scene upside down. The shattered cliff face followed the monster to the abyss. With the blood rushing to his head and his injuries spiking up, he nonetheless smiled and grabbed onto Dean's hand.

"...I see now...the bones, the blindness...Dean! You have defeated the dead legend and become one anew!"

And he would have kept smiling, had he not noticed Dean's eyes having become a blood red hue.

"Ah! Have you been wounded?! You sacrificed your eyes to slay the beast!"
