As everyone began to leave and the arena grew empty, Levi took a stand upon the ring once more. They had gotten through the first round, but that was merely the beginning. Now they would facing stronger opponents, tougher challenges. They would have to be ready for anything.

Catching a telepathic flash, Tamiko looks around her and notices Xing looking distraught. Calling out to him telepathically, "Xing? You seem especially troubled. Is there something wrong?"

Xing gasped in momentary shock as he heard a voice echo in his head. He had hoped that it would be his brother, communicating to him in some form, but the texture was clearly not that of his brother's.

Her eyes widened as the rose was brought back to her. Delicate as a snowflake, but hardier than tempered glass, it radiated an odd, warm light about it, yet never seemed to melt.

Recalling how Henry had talked to her earlier about another person who sought her hand, she couldn't help but think perhaps it was Xellos he mentioned. As distant as the Frost Mage was to everybody, it would seem that he was the most friendly to the young Psychic. It didn't seem too far fetched to her that perhaps the two might work in tandem - behind the scenes, as they were wanton to.

She let out a sigh. She didn't want to hurt another friend like she hurt Selma.

As Jim's fist came forward, he grabbed the man's wrist and side-stepped, leaving Jim's right side exposed. Driving his knee forward against the man's ribs, he drew back and snapped a whip kick into the same location. Jim, of course, simply grinned, "I didn't even feel it!"

He gave Clone Alex an apologetic smile. "Technicalities, you know. Since Raksha and I are both the supreme legal authority, we both need to approve operations where the Khandian goverment may be held responcible. This won't take long."

He turned to where Raksha was standing, talking to Isha. "Raksha, darling, a moment please! This gentleman here has a fabulous offer, but I need you to okay it before we can go ahead."

Raksha turned to look at him. "Oh? Is this about the Law of The Two?"

"Yeah," Kiran chuckled. "You see, we plan to..."

Raksha crossed her arms over her chest. "My answer is no, and that's final." And then she turned her back to him.

Kiran groaned and turned to the clone. "I'm terribly sorry, Mr Dezacozsa. There'll be no arguing with her when she's in this mood. You know how women are." He lowered his voice. "Last time I crossed her, she somehow managed to pass a very tricky law that made it illegal for me to enter the royal bedchamber. It took me the whole night to unravel that mess." He raised his voice again. "Well, it was a good shot, but I'm afraid the deal is off."

For a brief moment, a slight smile flickered across his face. But even if you saw it, you'd think you'd imagined it.

No, there won't be any sadness or heartbroken sobbing, because she won't miss her at all."

Good question. At first Xellos and Kekowa were aiming for it but when Silver Knight couldn't rp, any mention of it vanished.

Nah, Xellos took charge because he didn't think anyone was up for it. As smart as he is, he's not exactly the most inspirational guy in the group. He may have respect, but as far as setting people's hearts ablaze with passion, there are better choices.

Natalie is just about as smart, and the whole group loves her. Rhia is almost as Nat (with a bit romantic complications), and probably has the most infectious, inspirational spirit. If we RP a debate on who should be captain, Xellos will back Rhia or, if she doesn't want it, Natalie.


As Daichi lifted her up, she faintly noticed two roses fall off of her.

One was plain, and somewhat withered at the tips.

Xellos put his handphone back in his pocket. Natalie seemed to be involved in some mental conversations once she awoke. It was quite impossible to tell exactly what was said in such things, but some things could be inferred.

Upon getting back the rose, she made eye contact with Daichi, phasing out in that way people tended to do when making an effort to mentally talk. She was glancing at him, her body language, even lying down, was uncertain as she held the rose.

What, has Daichi told her about it already?

This would undoubtedly affect how she treated him. Nonetheless, she was still recovering and deserved some time to think about it. He'd abstain from broaching the subject for now.

Darkness. A dull roaring in the darkness, along with a sweltering internal warmth against the cold air. Breathing was difficult, and her eyes were sticky. When she opened her eyes, she retracted them for the fuzzy brightness, blinked the haze of them, and groaned.

Natalie awoke silently, laying back on a bench beside the Dragon Dorm bleachers. An ocean of noise filled her head, a haze of cheers and claps. Still too tired to move, even as she attempted to swallow she felt paint shooting through the left side of her jaw.

Doctor Ruman truly was a miracle worker, but even though she was technically alright, Natalie had taken hits someone of her constitution really shouldn't have. Mei Ling having shut down her chi pools also hindered the magical healing process, for the spirit is what keeps the body alive. Her jaw was still broken, her mouth braced shut with a splint.

About the only thing she could do was move her right arm, which she did promptly to wipe the crusts from her eyes.

Rhia walked up to Natalie. It pained her to see a friend this badly hurt, but she did her best to put up a brave front. "Hey there," she said and smiled. "How are you holding up?"

"You need a token."

Xellos said in a deadpan voice, inserting one into the machine and pressing the 'Start' button.

He watched as Natalie prompty fired 6 bullets into the first zombie, then examine the gun for the button to eject the empty catridge. Smiling, he pointed the gun into the ceiling and pulled the trigger.

"Reload by firing off screen, though you can just cover this black spot in front of the gun and get the same result...aim for the head, they die faster that way!"

He observed as Natalie and Jason began mowing through the opposition, cheering her on occasionally. For some reason, girls had a natural aptitude for shooting games.

The inside looked liked a bomb had gone off in it. Tables, chairs, pool tables, plasma TVs, and the bar counter were smashed to pieces. Many of the bar patrons did not fare much better as most them laid on the ground, battered and bloody. One man found a pool cue planted in his ass, and another was force feed an entire rack of pool balls. The bartender was hung by his under ware from large beam on the ceiling.

Wilks could be found sitting in the back corner of the bar drinking a bottle of Vodka. It was also noted that the only thing that he had one was his swords...and nothing else.

Willy was sitting chair, looking out into space in a drunken stupor.

"Heeey" he said in a slurred voice. "Thhink wee haav to paaay for thiss?" he asked.

"I don't know" Wilks said as he took another swig of vodka.

Natalie nodded to Jason and Xellos, as she did her best to back Jason up through the mansion. Following the loose dialogue, she apparently was controlling a virtual avatar named Agent G, and these demonic hordes were spawned from the womb of scientific hubris.

But there was no time to reflect on such matters, it was a primal feeling of kill or be killed. Axes and all sorts of other bladed weapons flew towards them, leaving gashes on their point of view. Natalie responded in kind by blowing their jaws out - they're puppets, she told herself, they're no longer alive.

Quite the intense experience, she got so jittery by the latter half of the second level she could barely hold the gun still, and accidentally hit one of the virtual hostages dressed in white, taking out her last life torch.

"Ahh! Well, that was...invigorating! Dankeschoen!" she said, then tried to maneuver the wheelchair to the side. After a few minutes of bumping into the cabinet, she was on her way.

With some struggle, she made her way around other games in the arcade. Street Fighter. Raiden. Ghouls n Ghosts. These were of an entirely different sort from House of the Dead, raising a sense of eager challenge and stoked her inquisitive nature, but she lacked the change to play them. She hoped Daichi would show her later in the Video Room of Arcadia.

Natalie was caught off guard from this. She and Kekowa really hadn't talked that much since the incident during Forest Gambit, and she was busy with Selma during his fight in the tournament. Still, she accepted as they went to the machine.

His right arm was the first to go. With a casual flick of his finger, Alex practically vaporized the clone's limb. Blood, bone fragments and gore splattered onto the street as Clone Alex stood rigid in shock. Before the pain could reach his brain, his ribcage was shattered by another flick, sending him flying down the road and creating a human sized crater in the pavement just in front of the Hotel Galaxy. The real man spoke, with a voice colder than ice.

"Failure."

Real Alex couldn't be seen by anybody as he practically teleported to the edge of the hole.

"You will die. That is all I have to say."

He flexed his aura, coating the inside of the crater with the clone's body.

After executing his wayward duplicate, Alex recieved a message from the other two rulers of Clockwork.

"I see. I do not approve, but I see that I have no choice."

He walked away from the crime scene, smiling coldly as the clone and all of his spilled blood dissolved. Not even the clothes were left behind. No evidence, and no witnesses to such a brutal murder.

In the meanwhile, it looked like Alex had to find Clockworks' representatives for the the World Tournament. Team Villain would be formed, one way or another.

OOC: I'd do flashbacks of Alexia' abuse, but I have two concerns: Would it be done properly, and would I recieve death threats for portraying the abuse correctly? Because even I can't believe the things I thought up of, and I hope that this sick and twisted idea can never be told in all of its horror. It'd make you cry if it was.

Xellos had excused himself when Natalie went to play Soul Calibur and was shaking the hand of the manager as Natalie was wheeled out. He walked to her and handed her a key.

"Here's the key to your room. Its the suite on the top floor. A butler will be waiting for you inside should you want anything. You can choose to share the room with someone if you wish, but I'd recomend getting as good a night's sleep as possible."


She thumbed the key and was puzzled by Xellos' statement.

"Oh, danke, Xellos. But in that case, where are you going to be staying?"

Natalie asked this, completely ignorant of what was on the top floor, or that Xellos had arranged this for her. She assumed that everybody else would be staying in equally luxurious rooms, as per the schooling dormitory.

OOC: As much as I hate to admit it, I realize that Alex would have to be a big softie at heart to be redeemed. Or I could say that while he loves his family, other people aren't so lucky. And remember that he abused Alexia because it believed that it would make her stronger. He wouldn't lay a finger on his (dead) wife or her clone (his other daughter).
