"Team Selma and Dean win! Now, we'll take several minutes to fix the arena.", the announcer said as Ruman rushed foward to heal Selma and Dean.



Tamiko stood up and headed towards the Arena. Her movements were slow at first, but she walked faster as she got closer to Selma. "Selma? Are you okay?" she said, her voice showing concern.

OOC: Me says that the former route would be the one that keeps more or less in character with Dean. Though the latter would be an interesting way to go. In all honesty, I'm more partial to the Dean just being arrogant about the whole thing and going through a weird-ass training montage. :p

The joy in fact, was not that they had won, but that Dean was alive and well. Sending a silent prayer to the deities above, Xing pulled himself up into the arena, so as to meet his friend.

Before Dean could collapse from the damage he had sustained, Ruman rushed over, healing him, allowing him to fuction normally. Which was fortunate, seeing as how Dean could barely keep his eyes opened.

"Thanks." Dean said halfheartedly, as he rose up to remove his blade from Jon's unconcious body.

Dean looked towards Jon, who was being revived by his teams Doctor. When Jon awoken, he spoke to Dean.

"Hey." Jon said warily "You may have won-But I'm still better than you."

Dean shrugged his shoulders. "You may be better than me, but I still won. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to get your blood off my knife."

Jon chuckled at Deans remark. "Funny, I'm gonna need a whole new wordrobe after all the shit you sprayed over the place. See ya, bitch."

"You're an asshole Jon. Adios." Dean said as he walked towards the end of the arena floor.

A man in golden robes approached her. He was little over middle age, with graying hair and dark skin. A pair of intensely black eyes peered at her under bushy eyebrows and he had a scrarlet eye painted in the middle of his forehead.

She gaped. "M-Master Isha? What are you doing here?"

But very well, if you have to know, a delegation from Khanda was invited to the tournament and as the most renowned Agnivajra master in the land," he straightened his back somewhat, "I was naturally asked to come along and bring a few of my students. We're all very excited about seeing you compete, Kaur."

"That's great," Rhia sighed. Then she blinked. "Wait, a delegation? Does that mean..."

Isha smiled warmly. "Yes, Kaur Rhia. Your parents are here!"

Natalie leapt from her seat at the announcement of Dean and Selma's victory, thena fter the moment had passed, paled before the display of strength. Dean's stoicism and virility was impressive as always, but she had never seen Selma go full tilt in a fight; she knew what she did in defense of monsters, but never had she seen what she could to to a man, much less one close to Dean's calibre.

The announcement of an intermission for arena repairs was a little disheartening, but at the same time quite a relief. She enjoyed the spectacle, but did not necessarily look forward to her turn on the platform.

"Ramon, Daichi? Could you save my seat please?" she said as she head out to the main lobby (OOC; I'm assuming it's a stadium thing, like a Dragonball tournament, if not the Roman Colosseum. I'll retcon if it's not the case, natch.)

It suddenly occured to her that once again the teachers had skirted them off to parts unknown. Natalie among marble columns and bronze reliefs, looking for a quiet corner to retreat to, which was very hard to find for every magician, psychic and martial artist in the tier of the world's finest were crowded in.

"Haah...if I must face her I...," she pondered openly,"She took cuts, blasts, and blunt force trauma, still with the heart to fight. Like Siegfried! What would I do if she wanted to engage me?"

Stooping down on a bench near a concession booth, she contemplated how she would do if her name were to be selected. Wolf dorm was very direct, mostly chi users and combat specialists, many of them with a speed and durability she could not match. Magic was her strongest suit, but it would be hard to cast against something impossible to react to.

Though he couldn't help but hate the fact that he didn't win his match, he did keep the knowledge that he beaten Jim unofficially, both before and after the man took the stamina enhancing pill.

"I wouldnt exactly say that we had a rousing victory." Dean said apathetically. Dean was unerved by his battle with Jon. When they last met, they were on even standing, albiet in different ways. But it seemed as if Jon had surpassed him by such a margin, there was no comparison.

He smiled some, "It is most unfortunate that I had to lie when I said that I had mastered the Bái Hu, but in the spur of the moment, I thought that would be intimidating." So his whole change into tough guy a moment was an act? It was obvious that something was amiss, but he continued to speak, " I also wished that I could have shown more of the Zhu Què, but there is always next time, no?" Looking to Xing, he glanced back to the ring, "Soon it'll be your turn, I'm am quite interested to see you show your best before us all."

She eyed the concession stand. People were buying hotdogs, covering them in condiments, then taking napkins. Once again, Natalie started to get hungry during mission time, but didn't have any money.

I have started, though, to work more directly, shifting the environment. Like Sirius does with his lightning, though not as potent.

Dean rubbed his shoulder, still tender from the battle."Infact, almost everytime we've ever fought, the battles were inconclusive. The last match we had was the one that determined who among our school would recieve an invitation to Arcadia, and it was only through a fluke I won."

Dean thought back to the match, and how he had been unable to anything more than to endure Jon's attacks-barely-.

Focussed on Henry's psychic distractions, Natalie picked up Selma's presence. She was looking for her, and searching in every corner of the concession. Natalie didn't sense out as to why, but that was enough to start her off.

With her hat on, she stood out like a beacon. She removed it, shoved half of the hotdog into her mouth, and made off. Quickly, she ran up to an unitended stand, and grabbed a handful of napkins, then took the long way around back to the arena.

She drew into a meditative posture, and tried to call upon the only familiar spirit she could think of in a fever.

Selma looked up to him, tears still streaking down her face as she sobbed "I-I was right! She's terrified of me!"

"Don't be silly..." Samuel began, but Selma shook her head and said "N-no, it's true! Sh-she ran away at the mere sight of me. Though I can't say I didn't see it coming, considering what a monster I was to her."

Channeling spirits first of all required an amicable spirit to participate. Their powers were not for loan. Natalie entered a trance, and managed to locate the ancient ice wolf that sacrificed his life to help them in their task the previous day.

He was still within the Water Stone, appearing as a solitary crystalline prison on the astral plane. Franer himself sat curled and dozing, his size seemed even larger than before, being now a purely magical entity.

"Ah...gutentag, Fenrir du Stammhalter!"

The wolf arose with a start, baring his jaws, then settled down, remembering who she was.

"Ah..well...," she stammered, unsure what to do of this. He had no mental defenses, but at the same time there was nothing fearful to see in his mind. It seems his intentions were honest.

"If you are the one who trained her, then you know, ja? She hold great power and explosive passion. A very big heart that is full of worry and she wishes to add more worry and lament to it. She is very generous, but also very volatile."

She sighed.

"What am I to do if I face her again? I cannot defend myself against her, and she hold great resentment for what I have done to her."

Sitting down, Samuel said "Unfortunately, I am almost completely in the dark in concerns to the events that took place. So if you would be so kind as to share this information, I would greatly appreciate it."

Dean thought for a moment before answering. "It's...odd." Dean began. "The last time we fought along with another friend of mine, there was no resolution."

Dean rubbed his shoulder, still tender from the battle."Infact, almost everytime we've ever fought, the battles were inconclusive. The last match we had was the one that determined who among our school would recieve an invitation to Arcadia, and it was only through a fluke I won."

Dean thought back to the match, and how he had been unable to anything more than to endure Jon's attacks-barely-.

"I dont know how he got here, but that's not what bothers me. His abilities have grown so much since the last time we met, that....well...." Dean trailed off for a moment, Sighing. "You saw the results. It makes me wonder, how did he make such progress in such time, while I didnt. It's bothersome."

Xing's expression fell as he listened to his friend's strife. Certainly, Xing felt he could feel abit of empathy for Dean's plight. Ever since he learnt that some from the Beast Fist School would participate as well, Xing found himself hounded by the feeling that the next time he met them, he would be far behind them.

Nonetheless, it was not that Dean shared the same worry as he did that brought Xing to tears, but that the man he had associated with strength, was now in this state. If so powerful a hero could fall, what did it say for others? Hence, Xing felt it his obligation to help Dean, not just as a friend, but for his own sake as well.

"Dean, you must not be surprised that such things have happened. We can only be sure of a person’s progress if we are close to them. Going your separate ways, it is no wonder there is such difference in how you’ve progressed.”

"She believes herself to be at fault for the rift created between the two of you. Considers herself to be a "monster" due to whatever her part in the trouble was. It seems to be a title you unknowingly share with her, if what I am hearing is correct."

Sitting down, Samuel said "Unfortunately, I am almost completely in the dark in concerns to the events that took place. So if you would be so kind as to share this information, I would greatly appreciate it."

As she heard his request, her heart sunk. Making things worse, as this happened the steel ring began to buzz her hand again. She sucked in her lips as she recanted the events.

Having listened to Natalie's story, Samuel said "Well, I wouldn't worry about her intentions by asking you to share a dorm with her. That was merely an act of friendship, and nothing more."

"The kiss and confession was something rare for Selma, that was a rare moment of her opening herself more emotionally to someone." Samuel said, then sighed as he continued "Unfortunately, you did the worse thing possible by attempting to lie to her."

"I'm not completely clear on Selma's past myself, but I do know that Selma seems to feel lies are an invitation to pain and abandonment. Even if you could have convinced her your lie was truth, any help you could have given her or happiness you would have allowed her would be in vain when the truth was revealed."

Sighing again, he said "No matter your intentions, that one lie would have hurt Selma far worse than anything else you could have done to her, even compared to what she's currently going through. I suggest you talk to Selma and clear out the air between the two of you, for both of your sakes."

"But if you're still worried, I promise I'll come with you and protect you." Samuel said, standing to his feet and stretching slightly.

Sitting down on the ground, underneath an old tree, Tamiko looked over to where Selma was. She had tried to do what Django suggested, but could not compete with all of the others looking to talk with Selma and Natalie. Realizing that there was nothing more she could do for them, she sighed and rested her head against the tree.

Dean and Selma won their match, though, but they were a bit roughed up. Over all, we're still on top."

She mage a gesture toward Isha. "By the way, this is Master Isha. He's my old Agnivajra teacher from back home. Master, this is Kagura Ise-Smith, a friend of mine."

Natalie still wondered what all those terrified images she saw in Selma's mindscape were all about. her worry for her friend increased again, but she still had a lingering fear of Selma's reaction. Samuel knew his student better than Natalie did, but then again he was used to sorting these things out

"If you are willing to, honored Sensei...but I don't think I'm ready, not yet. Perhaps after the tournament, I will confront Selma."

Continuing her preparations, Natalie placed a paper on the ground, breathed in, channeled Franer's essence, then stamped her staff onto it. Blue energies lit up and wrote themselves into a circle with a triangular seal within.

And with that, she sat down, gathering her clutter of napkins, breathed in and entered another trance to find more spirits to aid her.

She knew that her father would most likely deliver the punishment with his own hands. There was no telling what would happen at that point. Would her death be quick or slow? Would she suffer greatly, or would there be no pain? These questions started to fill Alexia with doubt about her abilities.

Talking a walk to clear her mind, she came across Rhia.

"No. She's got enough trouble already. Just act normal."

Alexia forced a smile and waved. "Hey, Rhia! How are you?" She rubbed the back of her head with her hand. "Aren't you excited about your match?"

:And Applied Zero Gravity to Oman, and as h e were to flaot Ramon spoke again.:

"And may thy light stirke at those who oppose me!"

:And arrow so flight shot out like missels, in a attmept to knock him out and ring him out by makin ghim drift away from the ring.:

:As he then ran in with his sword clutched tightly, he extends it liek a whip with blades, and swinig low for their legs, and a she did this summoned forth repusilino fields, to ent them into said fields to pbounce them like bullets.:

The two on the outside suddenly swept foward, flying over your whip sword while the middle one simply floats over it and contiunes chanting.


The two that went forward use their staves to counter the fields, making them harmless as they charged at Ramon from two different directions. The first suddenly stopped, swung high, and blocked Ramon's vision as the second let lose a green magic beam that struck Ramon and pushed him back.
