Hunter was alone for now. He hadn't gone very far, he couldn't afford to miss the trip to the astral realm and disgrace his classmates. He had to be stronger, he couldn't allow for anyone to come into danger or harm for his weaknesses. He cut a small hole in the seat of his pants for his tail to go through. He then gathered all that may be needed to help fight into his pack; his pocket knife, the med kit, a flashlight, water bottles and rations, rope, three spare pocket knives and a hobo tool (pocket knife with a fork and a spoon), matches and a lighter, and a big chunk of metal. Finally he placed the mysterious eye talisman around his neck and began walking back towards the others.

OOC: Figured I may as well mention the things Hunter carries in his pack since he always has it. He also has an uncanny ability to have books on virtually any odd little thing as well in there. Hope that's okay.

She then made it land in her open palm face-up. Tossing it back into the air, it again landed in her open palm face up. "It's a simple little exercise, one Mr. Giliam taught to my little brother to help him strengthen his TK. The object is to use your psychic powers to make sure that the quarter always lands in your palm, and always lands face up. The higher you can toss it, and still control it's movements, the more focused you become."

She then handed the quarter to Justin, "Try it for a while. Master this and I'll show you some more advanced psychic exercises."

But yes my main reason fo rit is to blwo stuff up, and have a magi force field. Among other things.

Anselm sighed as he paced his study in a seemingly random manner, spilling what looked like animal's blood upon the floor. It was dark, with the only light in the room coming from the soft flickering flame of a variety of oddly-colored flames on strangely shaped candles.

However, if one were to look from above, one would see a pentagram and markings in some ancient language. Making a few finishing touches, Anselm sat at one side of the pentagram and began chanting words in a long-forgotten tongue.

The flames twisted and danced in odd ways upon their wicks as Anselm's words became quicker and more strange, as if he was speaking some language not meant for the world of mortal man.

As his chanting reached a crescendo, voice reaching near-unheard of heights, black smoke began flowing from the center of the pentagram, flooding every inch of the room in a blanket of darkness.

with a few final words, Anselm slumped forward, gasping for air, wiping the sweat from his brow. He looked up to the center of the design, expecting to see someone standing there, only to find it empty.

Natalie's face twisted again. No tears, just seething rage at the ego of this man, one who was to be a teacher, a guide, and a guardian. To her, he was a charlatan that enjoyed playing with the hearts of the youth.

Infuriated beyond the capacity for rational thought, she walked even closer, staring at him dead in his tearing, laughing eyes, and slammed her hand on the table behind him

Immediately, the table exploded into a thousand splinters. This did nothing to stop Kelly's laughter.

Fuming, she immediately turned and left the room, slamming the door behind her as she went.

Xellos would have smiled when the table exploded if he weren't in such a foul mood. Still, it did buoy him a fraction. He followed wordlessly after her.

He appeared sitting with one leg crossed on a bookshelf, above and in front of Natalie. He watched while her friends tried to talk to her.

For him, no words were uttered. She would talk if she wanted. The most important thing was that he...they were there with her.

As she walked, Selma took a deep breath and let it out in a shuddering sigh, feeling tears threatening to flood from her eyes. After rubbing the tears away she let out a snarl and turned, swinging her fist into a door.

The door easily bent and shattered beneath her rage, the wood exploding into the room in a shower of firey splinters and burning embers. However, this didn't seem to quell her emotions, but instead intensified her.

With another snarl of rage she kept walking, clenching and unclenching her hands, blue fire engulfing them.

It seemed that Selma had a habit of hitting things when properly enraged. And by the looks of it, she was indeed properly enraged.

Tamiko finally found Selma, sitting alone in a room surrounded by the shattered remnants of its former contents, holding her head, shoulders heaving in silent sobs.

Looking up to Tamiko, Selma wiped the tears from her eyes as she said "What do you want."

Looking up to Tamiko, Selma wiped the tears from her eyes as she said "What do you want."

"Just to ask you the same question I asked Natalie, would it help to talk about it? Or would you prefer to be left alone?" Tamiko, giving Selma a concerned look.

Natalie and Rhia I'm quite sure are friendly with Xellos too, hopefully a hint of something more where Nat is concerned. lol. Henry and Sirus are at least fine with him. Same with Kagura. Selma has some building blocks towards a strange friendship with him, but I haven't interacted with her much yet.

Kekowa doesn't hate Xellos, but his 'strong guy who hates Xellos' role has been replaced with Daichi. Hunter respects but seems to dislike him. Tamiko was actually quite fine with Xellos up till he joined the conversation she and Selma were having. I don't see any reason for the antagonism to last.

Contemplating the issues of balance and method, the appeasment and channeling of dieties, and now using the residual energies, she stood in puzzlement, and decided to quickly try it. The water stone still in her hand, she set it on the table and looked at it intently.

Her gaze went whistful as she touched the stone, and breathed out slowly, trying to commune with the spirit held within. It was dormant, but still there, the last noble guardian of the mountain. Using her avatar, she peered into the stone, and could indeed see the wolf in peaceful slumber. Indeed, she could feel the cold about him as well.

Kelly's words flashed back into her memory :

"You have no idea what awaits you in the real world. What have seen, felt, and fought are just mere insects to what you will encounter when you leave this school"

She didn't want to admit it, but there was a seed of truth in his words, wisdom even, in spite of his brazen attitude. Natalie still felt grudging, but but a splinter of respect for the man.

Indeed, despite her magical training, she had been specifically helpless in matters of magic, helpless against a spiritual fortress, and useless in detecting the prescence of an evil magician as of late. Her friends though they meant well saw her only as somebody to save, someone to squeeze as a prize. A dainty princess, not a conjurer of spirits. Her bitterness came full circle, from the outside back in.

Suddenly, it occured to her, the cold she felt was very much somatic, and not so much spiritual. Jerking her hand back in reflex, she saw she had frozen the Water Stone to the table. She wasn't able to do that consciously, what had happened?

"Heh," she chuckled lightly, then silently, she began to flip through Nietzsche's 'The Will to Power'. It would be a long term at Arcadia yet to come.

Despite the wreckage that Natalie had made during her passage to the library, Levi managed to enter. Glancing around, he chose to make his presence, "So this is the library? Quite impressive, don't you agree?"

Daichi is nowhere near as bad as Kekowa. I was just reflecting on my relationship with the strong bricks.:D As for Hunter,we'll see how that works out.

Kekowa had mixed emotions from the scene in the classroom. On the one hand, he had started to like Natalie. On the other hand, she really didn't know who she was talking to there. Sincerely, he had to smirk, but that left when three people ran out of the room after her.

He thought things were okay, until he heard several punching and pounding noises in the hall. He decided to slip out and investigate; after all, he felt that he owed Natalie his life from the incident with the Wyrm, and as the Demon King of Tokyo, his word was the primary law.

Well, he proceeded out, but found no sign of the little witch. He heard somebody crying, however, by a pile of shattered, molten armor. Kekowa sighed, and sat down next to her.

She was still flipping through Nietzsche, but had to put it down, as much as an esteem booster his writings were. She picked up Divinations and Charms, and turned to a chapter regarding elementals.

The governance of natural law is facilitated by spirits. By this, through random interactions a balance is formed and manifests itself in the corporeal world. Most readily available are the spiritual sources in the tangible. (see: Ch XIII pt VII) Without a written rune or communication, channeling the energy of the spirit is still possible.

"I see, this is similar to the Zerstauben and Zerutten, though elemental manipulation is a physical shift, instead of a phase shift..."

Looking at the frozen globe before her, she closed her eyes and entered a trance, focussing on bending the light around her.

From the lower floors, one could see a bright rippling effect cascading from the balcony.

Kekowa sat next to her amid the scattered armor, sighing in unision. Observant, he had seen Selma's expertise and ferocity in the fray. The girl next to him right now was as a crumpled doodle before a painting in comparison.

"Yare yare. Believe you me, I've had a brush with her. Haven't really talked to her much, but when she gets mad..." he noted, rubbing his forehead from the time she flooded his senses with spiritual visions beyond his comprehension,"...anyway, why do you cry, Sammy-chan?"

He curled his lower lip upward, and straightened himself up.

"And Seru-san has trouble with people and covers it up with fists and fire. I see what you're doing there," he nodded. Then he noted the callousness in his tone.

He couldn't help it, he had fought all across Hokkaido and fell in and out with a ton of terrible people. Sometimes the best way to get across was bluntly. Confrontation was often the best way to solve problems. Of course, he retracted himself immediately after this, sensing this wasn't quite what was needed.

"...sorry, I...don't often talk to women. Never bothered much," he muttered,"What did she say? I don't believe for a second Natalie would hate you, or anyone really."

Not unless they deserved it anyways.
