"Ooops, sorry about that Selma" Justin said relising his mistake. "Umm, maybe you should try and go lay down inside. It might make you feel a little better".

"I'll b-be fine as so-so-soon as th-the bo-boat sto-stops. A-and I al-already tr-tried la-laying do-down inside... I-I wa-was just a-as si-sick, an-and th-the sm-smell of food was ma-making it wo-worse." Selma said.

The old captain slowed the boat and stopped as it finall ysettled at teh dock.

A man wearin ga black duster and black hat, holding a staff, was waiting for the students on teh dock.

"Alrigh then kiddies, Looks liek yer teachers waiting fer ye. Get yer stuff together and go on then."

Selma blinked before leaping to her feet, sighing happily as she did so. "Ah! The boat's finally stopped!" she said, patting her stomach happily as she did so.

She quickly entered the ship and returned with her bags, waving to Justin and Kagura as she said "Come on you two, lets hurry into the school!" before quickly leaving the ship.

Kekowa picked up his bag and made his way off the boat. He sees the Man dressed in black holding a staff. Humm must be a teacher, I know ive seen him before somewhere, but I just cant place it. Oh well lets make a good impression When he gets off he off the boat he greets the man in a formal Japanese way with a bow "Hello master my name Kekowa Hasegawa from Tokyo, Japan I am honored to be here and would love to begin my training."

The man bowed back.

"My name is Instructor Mourn, Mr. Hasegawa. As soon as the rest of the group gets off the boat, I shall take you all to your Dorm."

Rhia just smiled at her. "You'll see."

"Sugoi." He stared on in wonder.

Rhia gave him a pat on the back. "You're welcome."

There was an audiable groan from her stomach regions. Rhia blinked.

"Dammit! I forgot I still haven't eaten!" she exclaimed. "I better go chow something down before we arrive at the school!"

With that, she wobbled over the the nearest table and started picking among the dishes.

Justin watched Selma with a slight blank look. "She pretty much did a complete turn around right then didnt she?" he said in a exasperated voice.

...Damn. Already? I havnt even finished my Cocoa, and it's still warm.

Dean looked into his cup, the dark brown liquid still occupying more than half it's container. Although he couldnt wait to get off the boat, find his room and go to sleep as quickly as he could....

He really liked his Hot Chocolate.

I wonder if they would wait while I finish my drink. I'm a slow drinker, but it should only take me fifteen minutes.

As he thought about his course of action, it occured to him that if he took to long, he might miss the students and teachers, and end up wandering around the campus for god knows how long.

"I'm not getting lost again, damnit" Dean mumbled quietly to himself as he realized what must be done.

Dean opened his mouth as wide as he could, and chugged the extremely hot liquid as quickly as he could. He considered stopping half way through the remainder of his drink, due to the heat burning his tongue to the point it was going numb, but considered that to be a sign of weakness, and for lesser men.

" GAH!" Dean yelled as he slammed his cup on the table, his mouth wide open, as he sucked much air into his mouth as he could in an attempt to cool his burning mouth.

After he began to regain the feeling in his mouth, Dean picked up his backpack and headed towards the dock.

Well that had certainly been an interesting voyage. Alexia was certainly a disturbed girl, with clear signs of trauma and personality disorder.

Sweet girl, but there's something behind her eyes talking to her more than we are. I wonder if that other character takes over when its time to fight...I really don't see how she'd work through her emotional mess fast enough for combat otherwise.

That magical red glow from the tome was interesting, but the boy (OOC Vakanai) had quickly hidden it. Best to let his defensive mindset lower its guard first, and slide his way to the subject later.

Stepping off the boat, he admired the view, sticking close to Rhia.

This instructor Mourn looked good. He'd keep an eye on him.

Hunter was keeping a tight hold on his bag while trying to figure out all he could about this island. He had glanced in his bag to see if the tome was still glowing red. It was. He then checked his pockets for candy. He was out. And last he checked his handcrank radio to make sure it was in perfect working order. Thankfully it was. He glanced around and tried searching the emotions and thoughts of those around him.

OT: Hey Froggy, your avatar has been bothering me for the past few months, 'cause I can't figure out if it's Colossus or that one guy from the Imperial Guardians, or whatever.

IC: Ramon couldn’t help but to chuckle to himself. Everyone was training and showing off, and trying to size up each other. Instead of himself joining in the ranks, he turned to the girl named Natalie and extended an arm to her.

“Hi, my name is Ramon.” He said coolly, maintaining the perfect balance of warmth and seductiveness. Although he came to this school to better his training, it wasn’t like he didn’t have eyes.

~No Ramon, y’know that isn’t justification for your own personal reasons. You flirt with a girl on because you want to, and nothing else.~

Ramon face flew into different emotions, as if he was having a argument in his head. Finally, he looked back up at Natalie, who he could sense was a fellow magic user, and said once again “Hi.” But with this time, it only had warmth. While everything seemed cool on the outside, only those close enough to hear him, heard him mutter “Damn internal conflicts…”
OT: It's neither.......it's Morph!
The old captain grimaced at the showing offs of the youths, but didn't say anything. So far, the language spell was still working, allowing them all to speak to one another.

Lighting a small mage fire to lite his cigar, the old captaim gripped the wheel tighter as a wave rocked the boat. Damn storm! Came out of no where. More then likely, it was a bad omen.

"Alright then, yung'ins. I suggest you all get below deck now. There's a meal awaiting in the galley enough fer ye all. We'll be to Arcadia 'bout two hours or so."

As he stpeped to the deck below, Ramus leapt to the front and took a bowl to eat, and sat at a table alone, wondering if anyone would try to speak to him. He didn't think his english was THAT bad

Dean thought about something for a moment.

"And I probally could have done it better. I'm pretty strong, ya'know."

Dean flexed his bieceps, which served as testament to his awesome physical prowess.

He was soloing on his guitar while he did so.

Because he's awesome.

As Dean continued contemplaing a method to achive the ability to do pushups while unconcious, his thoughts were distracted by a person exiting the boat, while playing a surprisingly catchy tune. His thoughts began to drift to him crushing his enemies while the tune played in the background.

"Huh? I didnt know there was a band on the boat" Dean said to no one in paticular.

"I would have made a request ages ago"

"Mostly it seems to be a matter of self awareness. Most who use chi are athletes and strongmen, those who train with their bodies are often most aware of their bodies. Me, my body used to be wracked with pain often, and so I became aware of it."

Dean stoped posturing for a moment, and put on his serious face as he contemplated the answer

Dean was overwhelmed. If he was capable of tears, he would have shed them upon hearing such a flattering statement. However, tears were for lesser men, and mages, so a man such as Dean would never allow his body to produce such weakness.

Eager to please in spite of the tumultuous and chaotic spirit energy in the book, Natalie gripped it, but could not open it; strange as it did not appear to be bound in any fashion.

"This could take a while, if i may request, please do not disturb me, I need to analyze this further"

She held the book in her lap, drew her wand from a sleeve, and lay it across the cover. Then she stood prone, and entered a trance. Unseen by all but the most perceptive eyes, she let herself out to the Astral plane to analyze the cursed tome. After all, sometimes to find something you need to have the right eyes.

OC: And with that I also need to go. Vakanai, it's up to you whether or not to rip the book out of her hands as we proceed to class

Noticing the student's body language, Xellos eased his thoughts away from him specifically, devoting a portion of his mind towards listening to sounds from that general direction, then inwardly reflecting and processing those sounds into a conversation in the other.

There were way to work around psychic senses, troublesome though they were.

Dean pondered the question for a moment. "Well, they are certainly friendly, for the most part, if not a little strange. Of course, some of them also creep me out, but that's life."

Dean looked around at the other students sitting around, or talking or performing some other activity of which he cared very little about.

Ramon jolted awake. After passing out in the lunch room, he had vivid dreams that the boat docked. Throwing his backpack on his back, he drove his hands down into his pocket and fished out his I-Pod and a little notebook. Plugging the I-Pod into his ears, he began to write down his thoughts on the people here. After finishing up the summary on the people and first impressions, Ramon pocketed his book, and walked out of the ship, and onto the dock where everyone was once again out there talking. Although he really did want to run out there and start talking with them, he felt hesitant for a second.

Can it honestly be this easy to forget about his dad? His family? His friends just like so? Suddenly Ramon felt claustrophobic and without a second of hesitation, Ramon took of flying into the air. Thank god his I-Pod was clipped onto him, as he soared into the air, going further and further ’til the emotions went out. When he felt that he couldn’t feel anything anymore, he let himself go, and listen to the music.

A decade ago

Rhia was not a happy princess. First she'd been forced to eat so fast she'd nearly choked, then she had gotten yelled at by the gruff old skipper, and then she had nearly forgotten her sword and bag of stuff on the boat.

Not to mention, she'd completely lost track of Natalie, Alexia, Tenma and her other new friends.

So it was a somewhat stressed Rhia who finally jumped ship and looked upon the island that would be her new home for a while. "Well, at least I'm finally here," she said.

Her breathing became more erratic. "Why did you say his name? He's not going to stop this time. Oh god, he's never going to stop! WHY DID YOU DO THAT?!" Alexia felt a presence behind her. She turned around suddenly. Then, she reacted like she saw something. In her eyes, she saw her father walking towards her from the end of the pier.

She fell on her behind, screaming in blind terror as she backed away from her hallucination. "HE'S COMING FOR ME! PLEASE, STOP HIM! DON'T LET HIM HURT ME! FATHER! NO! PLEASE DON'T KILL ME!"

Oh no! Rhia didn't know exactly what went on in Alexia's head, but it was clear she was having another attack. She's seeing things? This is not good!

"Alexia!" She crouched next to the screaming girl, carefull not to touch her. "Alexia, snap out of it! He's not really here! Please calm down! He won't hurt you! Can you hear me? I won't let him hurt you!"

Alexia's panic attack stopped. For a moment, she was unresponsive. Suddenly, she got up.

She started speaking, but it was in a harsher, rougher voice than normal.

"Hey. You there. Rhia, or whatever you're called. Don't you EVER dare to mention that bastard's name again. If you scare my Lexie like that even ONE more time, I'm going to kill you. Slowly."

She fell to her knees for a second, slumping over as she did. Her breathing returned to normal. Alexia took a few seconds to stand up again, although her legs were a little unsteady.

"Wha..what happened?"

Alexia's panic attack stopped. For a moment, she was unresponsive. Suddenly, she got up.

She started speaking, but it was in a harsher, rougher voice than normal.

"Hey. You there. Rhia, or whatever you're called. Don't you EVER dare to mention that bastard's name again. If you scare my Lexie like that even ONE more time, I'm going to kill you. Slowly."

She fell to her knees for a second, slumping over as she did. Her breathing returned to normal. Alexia took a few seconds to stand up again, although her legs were a little unsteady.

"Wha..what happened?"

Kekowa spoke to the child in a calm voice. "When she mentioned," pointing to Rhia "A certian name you kinda wigged out." Kekowa was careful not to mention the name. "By the way, Alexia is it? My naem is Kekowa Hasegawa, at your service."

OOC: We've arrived at the island and have just just stepped off the boat. Not much storyline so far, basically we're all just hanging around the pier and having conversations.

My character has managed to make friends with Alexia, Tenma and Natalie. However, she accidentally sent Alexia into a psychotic fit. I'm currently holding of my playing until Eternal Torment replies.

Dean pondered the question for a moment. "Well, they are certainly friendly, for the most part, if not a little strange. Of course, some of them also creep me out, but that's life."

Dean looked around at the other students sitting around, or talking or performing some other activity of which he cared very little about.

"With that said" Dean continued "I'm a bit surprised. I expected to run into warriors with bieceps the size of my head, and so bloodthirtsy they would destroy the weaker students. I expected them to be able to *smell* weakness. Like wolves."

Dean shrugged. "Apperently, I've been watching to much T.V. But, I suppose it's for the best that Arcadia isnt hell on earth. It's hard to train your body and mind to destroy the enemy, when your worried they might assassinate you while your on the toilet, no? "Yes, I expected this at first, hence why I was so apprehensive to talk tko anyone, afraid a mix up in words could lead to a fight before I got a chance to get settled. I like this situation tho"

As Alexia calmed down, Xellos ceased the flow of magic to his staff, the frost quickly dissipating. Though dangerous, that had been highly educational.

Hmm, so Mr. Alex Desacozsa abuses his child...and its given her split personalities. Probably developed it as an imaginary companion to comfort her due to isolation. I suppose the timid one is dominant, the part of her which loves her father. The aggresive one resents her father, and takes over in times of crisis when the timid one withdraws into herself. The fact that the first two syllables of her name are the same as her fathers' must serve as a constant reminder, poor girl.

Xellos made a mental note of it. If she ended up being an ally, perhaps he could arrange for, or blackmail, her father into patching up the relationship a bit. A name change might also be in order, though whether she would accept that would be up to her.

If she became an enemy, such psychological weakness would be easy to exploit.

Either way, it should be established quickly.

Injecting equal parts concern and humour into his tone, he began

"Good day Miss Alexia, I am Xellos Raveneye. You had us worried there for a second."

She put her fingers to her temples. "What am I thinking right now?"

Yep, definitely wierd. Kinda cute, though. Oh right, what should I think about? Um... kittens! Yeah, kittens are great!

My English teacher in secondary school once offered to let me study other subjects or do homework during her classes because she didn't the level of english she would teach the class would contribute anything to someone on my level. I declined and learnt more stuff about English anyway, but damn that was a great ego boost.

There, with that elegant phrasing, he should also have cemented the idea of friendship with him in Rhia's mind. Not that she wasn't trying with boundless enegy to make friends with practically everyone...

Eager to please in spite of the tumultuous and chaotic spirit energy in the book, Natalie gripped it, but could not open it; strange as it did not appear to be bound in any fashion.

"This could take a while, if i may request, please do not disturb me, I need to analyze this further"

She held the book in her lap, drew her wand from a sleeve, and lay it across the cover. Then she stood prone, and entered a trance. Unseen by all but the most perceptive eyes, she let herself out to the Astral plane to analyze the cursed tome. After all, sometimes to find something you need to have the right eyes.

OC: And with that I also need to go. Vakanai, it's up to you whether or not to rip the book out of her hands as we proceed to class

Hunter was uneasy about this. He didn't like someone else handling his most rare of rare books, but she did say not to disturb her. He fell silent and began counting the mud puddles all around.
OOC: The book houses 3 demons, one of which will become Hunter's personality and dominate his body and power later on.

Noticing the student's body language, Xellos eased his thoughts away from him specifically, devoting a portion of his mind towards listening to sounds from that general direction, then inwardly reflecting and processing those sounds into a conversation in the other.

There were way to work around psychic senses, troublesome though they were.

Hunter sensed the attention weaken. Perhaps there wasn't anything to worry about afterall.

Kekowa was pleased that Alexia had recovered herself. Ive heard about her and her father though my network back home. If I had just tried to connect with her before hand maybe she wouldnt have gone nuts. Oh well the best thing to do now is let her enjoy herself

Kekowa began to tap his foot. Normally a clam and pacient person Kekowa drew weary of this and wished for a bag to hit and a few hours of sleep.

The entity, however, put her soul back together in her body at different times, so as she descended back down it seemed like she was having a seizure. Eventually she came to, and passed the cursed tome back to Hunter.

If he found it amusing enough, he might manipulate circumstances to create the great coconut vs pineapple debate. There would be a coconut and a pineapple club, and the two sides would hate each others guts. Friendships would be broken, the most unlikely of alliances be made in the name of their favoured fruit...he'd be laughing all the way.

He turned to the teacher, Jericho Mourn. Intelligence gathering had been able to provide him with the identities of most of the key staff within the school, though their actual personality profiles remained a tad sparse.

Tamiko looks around at the other students, wondering what this new school would be like. Her teacher had insisted that she attend once she graduated Elementary School. Though right now she wished he was here with her, he always knew how to get her confidence up.

A brief glance told him that most of the class had relaxed, save for one. "Thank you for your assistance Kekowa, but if you'll excuse me." With that he approached the girl who seemed a bit timid. "Greetings. Quite a collection of classmates we have here." He said, trying to break the ice.

Apparently fate wanted him to pay attention as he was interrupted from his book. Closing it with one hand with a crisp snap, he glanced up. "It depends on the context. Neither is stronger since they lack the ability to lift other things up. The coconut is tougher shell-wise, while the pineapple is tougher against predators due to its spines." "lies!

"Unfortunately, with the wussy spines, the pineapple will probably hurt worse than the coconut... But a pineapple will NEVER defeat Coco D. Nut in a fight! EVER!" she cried, pumping a fist in the air.

She then looked to Dean and said "Hello, my name's Selma St. Johns. It's a pleasure to make your aquaintence."

Despite himself, Xellos couldn't resist joining the fun for a bit. Chiming in, he added

" I am aware that a movie once portrayed the Devil shoving pineapples up Hitlers' ass as part of his daily punishment in Hell. The coconut is certainly the better weapon, but pineapples have their uses too. It should be noted, however, that much of Asia considers the durian to be the king of the fruits"

If he found it amusing enough, he might manipulate circumstances to create the great coconut vs pineapple debate. There would be a coconut and a pineapple club, and the two sides would hate each others guts. Friendships would be broken, the most unlikely of alliances be made in the name of their favoured fruit...he'd be laughing all the way.

He turned to the teacher, Jericho Mourn. Intelligence gathering had been able to provide him with the identities of most of the key staff within the school, though their actual personality profiles remained a tad sparse.

" Mr. Mourn, may I enquire about the nature of our accomodation? How many people per room?"

After listening to what his new found friend and her friends, he decided to go find one of the masters.

Along his way he heard of an absurd conversation that didn't intrested him too much as he ate his meal and soon found somebody vaguly what he was looking for.

While Dean did certainly have a clumsy streak in him, it inevitably had functioned as a sort of training, increasing his ability to absorb damage considerably. It would be useful to have a tank in the event of a group battle, and Dean looked like the best choice for an ally in that role. Very well, he'd play along.

The spying had definately been worth the trouble. Xellos made a mental note to keep a lookout for Hunter. A demon possessed student rampaging through school grounds would be most dangerous.

Despite possessing such an unstable artifact, Hunter clearly did not specialise in magical fields, making the situation even more dangerous. That book needed to be destroyed or sealed away. It would not be easy however. Either the book already had him under its spell, or he was just naturally possesive. Either way, he would not part with the book easily, and a rash approach could easily have dire consequences.

This was why he had concentrated on elemental magics, eventually settling on specialising in ice and a rudimentary skill in fire. Courting a higher power for your abilities was either inherently dangerous (in the case of demons) or too strict for his tastes (in the case of deities).

Hunter decided it would be best to be careful with this volatile tome. It was dangerous to hold, but more dangerous to lose, and he had picked up a stray thought from somewhere that someone wanted to part him from this book. Hunter wasn't sure who it was or their reasons, but he would be sure to watch his back carefully for both the dangers of the book and the dangers of his fellow students.
