Forte rubbed his temples.

"Congratulations soldier you just failed your examination. The higher echelon of X need people with a brain."

He turned to the other soldiers.

"Can someone smart tell me about Forte? You must have heard of him."

[The Dog]

Kasumi finally stopped before a boulder. Placing her hand upon it, the boulder suddenly vanished, leaving an open tunnel before them.

"Down here."

Looking down the tunnel, Selma sighed and said "Well, it looks like we're about to meet this "Mysterious Leader", whoever she is.... I bet you its Natalie, or possibly Rhia."

Looking to Kasumi, Selma asked "What did happen to Natalie?"

"Well, not direcetly at least. They can still use teh enviroment against us if we aren't careful. A psychic or mage may no tbe capable of reading your mind or strking you down directly, but that doesn't stop 'em from dropping a builduing on your head, see?"

"We did, years back, but that Kessler witch destroyed the only prototype and research behind it. That's was just before Master Raveneye slew her in a dual."

"Who knows. Rumor has it that he blamed Master Raveneye for the death of his son, or something like that."

Kekowa stopped and started to shake Daichi is...dead? Could Xellos have had something to do with it? Forget Savage...humm thats probably one of teh brothers. Anyway I will ask Xellos personally. I doubt I will have any more luck than my future self but stil...

He shook it of and walked proud "Out of couriosity how long ago was that? When His son died and he fought Master Raveneye?"

"Or see through illusions," Django muttered. He was pretty sure they couldn't penetrate his glamour, which was a very good thing since he had a creeping suspicion that if they did he'd probably be shot like a rabid dog.

Apparently, only this Forte survived with any semblance of sanity left, so they shipped him off to Luna."

Neil turned and explained.

"Well, sir, everyoen knows that magic and psychic powers corrupt people. After all, it was the mage Solarius and the psychic Lunarius that tried to take over the world using their foul, demon bestowed powers."

"Very sharp. You're keeping up well with the program," Xellos said.

A smirk spread about his face for entirely other reasons. This dystopia sounded too...cut and dry.

Then again, the worst sorts of things happen in a fervor of allegedly good intentions.

"And so you unleased the electron accelerators, particle canons, MASER freezing...and what else now?"

Tsking, he folded his arms as he admonished the soldiers.

"With this much new technology, how wasteful. This Manhattan Incident won't go unmarked, my my...hurry us up, we have a report to file, Neil."

Looking down the tunnel, Selma sighed and said "Well, it looks like we're about to meet this "Mysterious Leader", whoever she is.... I bet you its Natalie, or possibly Rhia."

Looking to Kasumi, Selma asked "What did happen to Natalie?"

"She betrayed us all.", a voice said after Selma asked the question.


The voice belonged to a white haired woman. She wore combat gear and had the Dragon dorm symbol tattoed across her throat.


The person who spoke also bore a dragon dorm ring upon her left hand.


Her right hand, however, was scaled, like a dragon's, and ended with five sharp claws. The left side of her face was burned and scarred fairly badly aswell.


"What's the matter, Selma? Don't like what Natalie did to us?", the woman asked.


Kasumi nodded to her.


"Everyone, this is our leader, Selma St. Johns."

Neil seemed perplexed as Forte turned his questioning to Captain Earl.

Despite himself, even he couldn't keep his eye from widening some in surprise. The mysterious destroyer of Arcadia was Natalie? Closing his eye, he forced himself to remember that this was an alternate time line.

"Hmm, 'bout 12 years ago or so."

Kekowa did some calculations in his head. I would have been in my early to mid thirtes I think, and Dai would have been. He would have been like 12 years old. By Buddha love what could have happened to my sweet boy.

Kekowa interupted "Sorry to bug, and I hate to dwell on this fool but im writing a report for the higher ups. Does anyone know exactly what happened to Hasegawa's son, Dai something I think it was?"

I have a hunch it was a combination of things. Dystopias, after all, are created out of a combination of beneficence and paranoia. The dark side of human nature tends to lash out an anything that could be a threat in the name of uniformity.

It's easy to have ideals, they are the gold standard that our hearts and mind run on. The reality is ruling is much more difficult than your dad may let on. But maybe that's just the businessman in me, I can't conceive of any real reason why we'd turn either.

"Okay. That does it," she finally said, in a frighteningly calm voice. "When I meet the Queen, she and I are going to have a very serious talk."

Natalie didn't reciprocate the smile, pangs of vague, muddled guilt still twisted in her stomach.

Hoping to cut off the rest of the dorm for what he perceived to be their own safetly, Xellos took the air of seniority against the grunts once again. They wouldn't find much more by talking to the lackeys, they needed to get in and higher up before someone got suspicious.

"Let's go. We must have words with Rohana."

Natalie didn't reciprocate the smile, pangs of vague, muddled guilt still twisted in her stomach.

"Janos, we have 20 still alive, not including Intructor Kelly, who we don't know is still alive. However, we only have eight fighters in active duty, and all the other units have been taken out."

"It seems Ramus was right..." He murmured, finding his own tombstone. "This illusion has taken the form of Diana's predictions of the Bringer..."

A chilling laugh follwed that statement.

A woman was perched on the ruins of Daichi's memorial. She had very short, black hair and and apepared to be of asian descent.



She wore a chenogasm and glasses. On her back was strapped a familiar sight. Sun Wukong's staff.


"She betrayed us all.", a voice said after Selma asked the question.


The voice belonged to a white haired woman. She wore combat gear and had the Dragon dorm symbol tattoed across her throat.


The person who spoke also bore a dragon dorm ring upon her left hand.


Her right hand, however, was scaled, like a dragon's, and ended with five sharp claws. The left side of her face was burned and scarred fairly badly aswell.


"What's the matter, Selma? Don't like what Natalie did to us?", the woman asked.


Kasumi nodded to her.


"Everyone, this is our leader, Selma St. Johns."

Im starting to piece it together. Heres my theory: Rhia and Xellos find out Daichi has some amount of magical powers, so they kidnap him, drain him and ship him off to Luna somehow with out Kekowa getting involved. Kekowa is understandably pissed and challenges Xellos to a deathmatch for his actions, which he loses...Due to Xellos having massive one-sided prep.

That would still mean Daichi is up on Luna with most of his fathers strength, some amount of fighting skill and a good store of Chi energy.

I dont know that seems the most logical solution. I guess Cleric will revel all.

2: Hmm, it differs. In the Dark!Natalie universe, it was Solarius who was the big threat isntead of Lilith/Syn. After destroying him, Natalie went looking for answers, and, well, let's say she looked into the wrong place and was forever changed.

In the X.K.S. universe, Solarius and Lunarius started a war (the Ether War) and brought all magic and psychic powers into the world's limelight for the first time by leveling several cities.

3: Levi = alive. Dean = alive. Natalie = drained/shipped off. Janos = alive. Selma = drained/shipped off. Julien = alive. Kagura = drained/shipped off. Ramon = dead. Hunter = dead. Sirius = dead. Justin = drained/shipped off. Chin = dead. Kado = alive.

In the Dark!Natalie universe - Levi = dead. Dean = dead. Forte = dead. Janos = dead. Ramon = dead. Henry = dead. Rhia = dead. Sirius = dead. Ramus = alive. Kekowa = dead. Xellos = dead. Chin = dead. Kado = alive. Tamiko = dead. Justin = dead.

4: In the Dark!Natalie universe, only Khanda is in ruins. The rest of the world doesn't even know that Natalei is slowly hunting down anyone with "power" and killing them, so the rest of the world is just fine.
