School House Rumble, Part 1: Arcadia, school of Old

Nodding her head slightly and giving Kagura a faint smile, "I guess. Thanks." Tamiko responded.

Leaving the burning corpse, the group left Xanadu and followed teh Scarlet Flower path until, without incident, they arrived at the Alter.


There, waiting for them, was a portal that showed Dr. Ruman's office, where she sat, waiting to tend to their wounds.


Just step through, and you're back at Arcadia.

Xellos made a bow and gestured to the portal with his hand for Natalie to step through.

"Ladies first."

Dean nodded. "Yeah. I guess it couldnt hurt."

Dean quicky bent down to pick up the second knife.

Several hours after the students had passed back into Arcadia, a lone figure walked Xanadu's ruins. Coming across the burned remains of Beggan, the figure tsked and began chanting. A dark, etheral glow surrounded the person as they finished their Magic Summoning spell.


"Magic Summoning: Resurrection!"



Beggan's remains began to boil and slither, melting together int oa puddle. Then teh puddle solidified into the mad dwarf's old body, healed and renewed, though nude now.

"There now, servent. You did quite well. We now have a link into Dragon House. Well done. For your hard work, you shall feast better then you ever have before, when we move against Dragon Dorm."


With these words, Beggan opened his eyes and stood, naked but stron gand healthy again. Grinning his mad grin, his eyes seemed to glow a dark color as he spode.

"Said I would hunt them until end of time, I did. Said Beggan would eat them I did. They going to pay dearly, they will. Oh yes. Rip, and tear, and eat I shall."



With a nod from his master, Beggan laughed as the two teleported way to parts unknown.

Her fear had led her to stay out of the fight.

"There are showers on the far side, one for males and one for females. There is a closest in the waiting room of either shower for you to change into, with some of all you clothes in there aswell. But yes, you all must stay the night."

Kagura sighed in relief and headed toward said showers.

Kagura grimaced at the thought of going to bed this grimy, but accented.

Noticing a bathroom at the end of the Med-Room, Tamiko got up from her bed and walked over. Even if it's just to wash her hands and face, that would be enough. As she walked by Kagura and the other girls in the group, she pointed towards the bathroom, in case they wanted to clean up a little as well.

"There are showers on the far side, one for males and one for females. There is a closest in the waiting room of either shower for you to change into, with some of all you clothes in there aswell. But yes, you all must stay the night."

Changing direction, she also headed towards the showers to clean up and change her clothes.

OT: I wonder if these are power levels like in the Neo-DBZ RPG? Or the equilvalant I guess. The more battles and challenges you accomplish successfully, and the more progress you make in terms of skills and knowledge, the higher the score.

For those who haven't had a chance to participate much, there is still plenty of time to bring your scores up. The battle with Beggin will possibly be reflected in the next scoring round.

Casting off her clothes into a small pile, topping it with her floppy felt hat, she entered a stall, turned the water on, slumped over an arm, and let the hot water wash her thoughts away.

Alexia had left Rhia's side for the moment to take a shower. It had been the first time she was allowed to use hot water in weeks. Picking up a robe on the way in to the room, she froze when she heard somebody in there.

Natalie didn't hearthe voice, lost in her thoughts as the water came rippling down piping hot. The faint scent of the forest and caked on dirt mixed with the water as it ran down her body, but she stood still.

She shut off the water and pulled back a corner of the curtain, peeking out, steam radiating off her wet hair.

After a moment, Natalie shrugged her shoulders and blindly searched for the soap on the floor.

"The moves you do are impressive; you shouldn't be so hard on yourself, Alexia, you're among the better fighters! Though Herr Daichi, Dean and Kekowa are larger...and let's keep this a secret...it seems that the egoes of such hotblooded men are their greatest strength; they fear nothing! You are just as good, from what I have seen...but why so humble?"

Refer you to Clerics' summary on page 215. After that we fought and killed Beggan the dwarf and made it back. Beggan got resurected by the school mole and it seems he accomplished whatever mission he was supposed to (but we don't know it yet). We're now spending the night in the med-bay. Natalie and Alexia shared a shower and Xellos waged an internal battle on whether to conduct himself honourably.

Hunter made a mental note to keep his distance from Rhia. Last thing he needed was to mess up with his classmates, making their troubles worse somehow. Hunter sighed. It all came from a fixed perspective, and they fought a number of demons, monsters, and golems. Then, numbers appeared on a tally, indicating WINS and LOSSES, as a 45 second timer ticked down. It was all so ingrained, and rote routine for all of her peers.

"Well...your first lesson would be simply to condition your body in order to produce the energy. It is a grueling and neverending lesson and can come in endless forms; From the brutal Muay Thai of Thailand, to the soft and flowing Tai Chi, or to your own pure fighting instincts. After that, you would begin meditation. In order to hone your spirit to project your energy you must first come to know it. It is rather complicated to explain what you seek within yourself, but you'll know when the time comes. After that, I believe that with your current knowledge, you would be ready to take on anything that comes your way."
