Bahamut encircled the former monk, taking less than a step to get halfway there each time. Levi knew he was being studied, as if he were a piece of meat at the market.

Yes...you will do nicely... The King of Dragons said, almost with a cat-like rumble in his deep toned voice. As for what I mean, allow me to tell you a story...Levi was it? Unable to speak just yet, he nodded his head.

Long ago, your predecessor, the first Captain of the Dragon dorm, a mighty warrior named Miyamoto Musashi, fought and spared my life. However, his wounds I inflicted on him in battle would never fully heal, leading to his death. After that, I and my kind dedicated ourselves to leading out power to the dragon dorm once they achieved your current level. However, our numbers have long dwindled, but my mate and I shall come whenever you call...

Levi was almost unsure what to say. Arcadia seemed to be revelation upon revelation, where the myths of the world came to be. It was only then he found the words to speak, "How will we summon you?"

Bahamut turned and walked toward the darkness

When the time comes, you'll know. Within the hearts of every child of dragon dorm our song lies...

And with that, Bahamut was gone...

Levi found himself back on the beach, his sight once more halved. Opening his hand, his medallion was normal once more though an imprint of it had been made on his palm, no doubt was holding it tightly.

OOC: If need be I can change up the whole Miyamoto Musashi deal.

All of them is down by the beach, though.

Natalie held a hand to her chest as her psyche realigned with her soma. Becoming a body of pure energy in the Astral Plane was both illuminating, yet discomforting, for one's ego goes beyond the limit of the body. Returning to it, the body must catch up all at once. She was short of breath and lightheaded, a slight pain in her arm where the Beast had clamped its jaws on.

However, sounds of delightful laughter filled the air; Justin and Tamiko, together again. Natalie closed her eyes and smiled, happy that he was once again himself, guided by his love for her to sway from the temptation of such demonic power.

Ja, my work is done. You deserve some time to be happy together.

And so she went off by herself, down the path and walking along the stretch of the tide, thinking quietly to herself as the water lapped against the shore. In the distance a couple of her fellows sparring, and the sounds of the exchange roused her from her inner meditations.

"...oh, Rhia, Ramus, Selma, Kekowa..." she noted, "...and could that be?"

OOC: Dean would probably own Lily. If the Anti-Magic sword can cut her psychic bonds with her puppets, she's defenseless. If not, then it's slightly longer since he's practically fighting three guys at once while one plays goalie.

"Am I..." she whispered and hung her head. "...Am I crazy? Is that it?"

Edit: Talking to her and keeping her company probably helps.

OT: Tamiko has wanted to talk with Selma, but for some reason she was never able to. ;) Is she free right now?

BTW MH this tecniqually isnt a fight, its a training lesson:p

OOC: That's why I want to try to avoid having Shamra break out the magic on poor Kekowa. Like Falcon said, he's not the type for overkill. :p

As Kekwoa fell he smiled as well. I got close at least and made him put some effort in.

As he fell Kekwoa patted the ground rising him up a bit and he swung both leggs in attempt to sweep Shamra's leggs from underneath him.

As the leg sweep happened he felt a bit of chi return so he put it into his right arm(taking the two out of speed and two more he recovered into strength, 24) he aimed right for Shamra's chin.

Its like if he can sweep the legs he'll catch Shamra if he falls with a punch. He'll still aim for it anyway but it should be more effective if teh leg sweep goes through, which probably wont

Shamra jumped over the legsweep in the last moment. As Kekowa's punch was was about to connect, he brought his hands up and let it strike his palms instead. He then seemed to use the impact to push himself further into the air, away from Kekowa, made a quick piroutte and landed neatly on both feet a small distance from his opponent, emidiately sinking into a battle stance again.

Damnit, It's a shame they have absolutely no reason to fight each other.

I doubt he could cut the bonds, though. I dont think Deans stuff deals with Psych, unless the strings were made with magic.

"Oh, sonderbar...that is Prince Shamra?"

She only knew of him from the stories she had exchanged with Rhia, and from way back when she gleaned a vision from her mind. Yet here he was, standing in the flesh. She recognized his face somewhat, though he seemed more jubilant and boyish than she had expected.

Natalie fell back in a small curtsie.

"Gutentag Herr Shamra! I am Natalie Schroeder, Second Level Acolyte of the Zeitgeist Sisterhood!"

Kekowa got into a stance again, his energy nearly returned he sweated heavily. Fearing his head cloth would be damaged he folded it and tossed it to Rhia "Take care of this for me ok^^"

He readied himself again. The breathing time was amble to refill his chi. He decided to leave his strength alone and boost his speed as high as it could go(25). kekowa began to punch the ground in a machine gun like barrage that seemed like hundreds of fists at once. Each strike sent a powerful shockwave through the earth directed at Shamra.

He hoped it all the shockwaves at once would unbalance him. Kekowa rushed forward with speed multipule times greater than the speed of sound.

As Kekowa charged he built up a dust cloud and stopped and skidded right in front of Shamra kicking the dust cloud in his eyes and body and leaving what looked like a semi-solid afterimage in Kekowa's place.

The real one was right on top of Shamra coming down with an axe kick to the head. Liek Kekowa said He had gotten faster at switching his chi flow and as he came close focused all his chi into his leg to come down with all of his might (class 25)

The Song of the Dragons, Levi could only wonder what it sounded like, but it seemed that for now, he would just have to imagine. Turning, he made his way from the surf toward the gathering. While he recognized Rhia, Natalie, Kekowa, and the others, he did not know who the other Kekowa was sparring against was.

Raksha and Isha shared a quick glance, but said nothing.

Kiran nodded slowly and glanced at Xellos. "How much do you know about the incident three years ago?"

"Well, the official story is that the KRIEG tried to attack the royal family via internal sabotage, turning some of Khanda's own prototype mechs against them. Captain Rahasya dissappeared during these events and was later declared a traitor for assisting the enemies of the kingdom."

He shrugged,

"How did you convince KRIEG that he'd turn traitor? Was the entire incident planned, with Princess Rhia somehow getting involved as a chaos factor? Did he have real problems, but when approached by KRIEG, chose to infiltrate on the spur of the moment?"

"Oh, you flatter me," Shamra said. "Just a simple teleportation technique; one of the few magic techniques I'm actually capable of performing." He laughed and scratched his head. "Like my sister, I seem to have been blessed with much magic power but not with the talent to use it." ^^

What does one say to somebody who is so very humble with every right in the world to relish their prowess? This was what ran through the dumbfounded Natalie's mind at his incredible display.

Shrugging, she laughed.

"Nein, you both give yourself too little credit," she giggled,"to meld the Mana energies within the Soma, that is unorthodox because it takes a great deal of skill to do properly!"

She looked over to Selma with a small smile.

"My friend over there, she does the same thing, but largely with roaring fires. A true Dragon, ja?"

Kekowa was baffled "What the hell..." The he played back the moment in his head I see he must have teleported. a effective trick. Too bad I so wanted to show him more. Guess its a good thing he decided to quit, with those moves he'd rape me

Kekowa began to laugh, loud and hearty "Well I'll be I still stand after combat with Shamra! Even if it wasnt a real fight I didnt lose. Well I gues we can call it a tie." Kekowa laughed more but began to settle down

During all this, Selma has managed to calm down. She felt oddly empty, hollow even. It was a strangely releaving feeling. She felt neither the agonizing pain of rejection, the deep sorrow or the self-pity that had been a constant companion for so long now. It was is if her feelings had abandoned her.

What is important, is that I've found the perfect song for Sabin. It gives a good idea of Sabin/Garthins releationship.

This engineer had managed to steal the schematics for one of our more advanced orikhan reactors. They were hoping to be able to smuggle both the engineer and the schematics out of the country during the chaos of the attack. Luckily, they failed, and the rampaging units were destroyed."

He gave Xellos a sharp glance. "By the way, I do not appriciate your suggestion that I would have put Rhia and Shamra at risk simply to plant a spy withing KRIEG. My children almost died on that night, Xellos."

He then gave his shoulder a shrug. "The simple truth is that Yamala Rahasya was insrumental to KRIEG during this operation, and so we thought it... convinient to have him branded a traitor. After escaping Khanda he had no other place to go, so KRIEG took him in." He chuckled. "Imagine my surprise when he managed to advance all the way to ZAHLEN's number 2. Then again, he always was a hard worker."

IC: Dean emerged from the beach house, somewhat sluggish, due to waking up only seconds ago.

Due to this, he was less perceptive then he usually was, resulting in his failure to notice, or even remember the stairs outside the beach house.

"GAH!?" Dean shouted, somewhat surprised, as he stumbled down the stairs, attempting to gain his balance.

Unfortunately, the fates were not in his favor, and he fell face first into the stairs, sliding down them, until his face stopped, embeded in the sand before the steps.

Dean was quiet for a moment, before removing his skull from the enviroment.

"Son of a bitch!" He shouted, picking himself off the ground, dusting himself off, as hundreds of tiny grains of sand descended to the earth from his body.

As he looked around, hoping no one saw his less than fashionable entrace, he noticed that one person in particular had noticed him.

Fuck.

"You saw nothing." Dean said calmly to Julien, nodding to himself.

"Thats what happened in the future, anyways. So my--"

Dean stoped mid-sentence. If Julien was aware of his connection to Diana, there was no need to bring it to his attention.

"So, Diana came back in time--That's the girl who put on us Null-Mages island-- to give us the heads up, so we wont all die."

He nodded to himself, satisfied with his summary.

"That answer your question? Everyones worried, because everyone would prefer not to die painful deaths. I mean, I just got Kagura to go out with me! I'm not fucking dying now!"

OOC: No. A Julien that is offended would beat a Kekowa that's trying not to kill him. (Especially considering Julien's the kind to blow people up in friendly competitions) Beside, Kekowa would be surprised by the act. And being surprised by someone with 25 speed is bad.

But even if he's just asking for help, Julien would absolutely hate any thought of that, and would probably never respect him again if he learned of that.

Natalie's words struck a cord in Kekowa's heart and he knew they rang true. He felt so ashamed of himself, not only had he made a complete ass of himself but now made someone he truly liked as a person tell him he was a coward and a idiot. He almost felt like a piece of his soul had been ripped out, like all his honor had been stripped away.

He stepped back and sat on the ground. "Yes Natalie you are right. I dont know what came over me. I suppose if I fear anything its becoming the evil I so gladly stomp. And the road to that is paved in human blood."

He looked at his tanto on his belt and fingered with it. With his armor on it would be next to impossible to commit seppuku but he could run it through his neck...

OOC: Currently he's kinda conflicted about his whole religion thing, ya know after seeing David, fighting Goliath, seeing Micheal the Archangel, kinda hard to over look Christianity. I just havent worked it into the story :p

Again her words struck true. Maybe it was because he liked her so much as a friend or perhaps he knew he was just weak but he knew their truth.

He took her hand "Yes, the samurai embraced Buddhism because it allowed them to freely take life on the battle field but that is something I cannot do."

He looked at her slight smile and it gave him hope "Im sorry when a glaring truth hits you that you where weak like I was being I dont know a mind wanders to terrible thoughts..." At that moment the cloth that had wrapped Kekowa's head fell off. He didnt realize he had taken off his helmet earlier and all the up and down he did rattled it. It fell over their hands.

Kekowa picked it up and looked at it Daichi Yamada, I will never forget. a bit of water formed in Kekowa's eye as he held it in his hands. All at once it came flooding back. His reason for being, his promise on Daichi's grave that he would live up to his mighty name and make Daichi proud.

A new look came over Kekowa, one of fierceness, he wrapped it around his head like a bandanna and looked at Natalie softly "I thank you. Its always best to hear the truth than a sugar coated lie. You have shown me why I fight. I will not harai kiri myself, I made a promise to a friend I would live up to his mighty name."

Then Kekowa's face began to go back to normal, the happy look he has had. He bowed his head "Thank you Natalie."

He sighed, and cocked his head over to the hotel in the distance.

"And, at approximately 9:00 hours, an entourage of black cars of an organization called 'Stradavarius' arrived and checked in. Might want to pay attention to what's going on around you. I'm going to assume it was you that lacked the fortitude to dodge stairs."

He'd be relying on a mental crutch. This is something Kekowa has to develop on his own.

It would severely cheapen the 'not killing' thing he has, since it would then require absolutely no control or willpower to pull off. It'd be just because somebody crippled his mind.

Furthermore, such an artificial mental lock could easily be twisted by another psychic for his own purposes. It would make Kekowa much more vulnerable to mind attacks.

(Oddly enough, I'm the only one who asked Cleric for the set mutplier. Dean heals at 20X human speed, while Janos does 5X, Right? Old Nevadian Genes FTW)

It would be too easy. Not to mention he can punch the fuck out of anyone who's not peter :P

Actually Janos doesn't heal during battle. He just doesn't get tired unless he loses like, half of his blood or something.

Arm sliced off? Fine.

Hole punctured through torso? Cheh.

Think about it; Would Dean Soaking/No-selling 99% of the enemies attacks, between healing at a rate that makes Janos feel inadaquate, Be entertaining?

(Oddly enough, I'm the only one who asked Cleric for the set mutplier. Dean heals at 20X human speed, while Janos does 5X, Right? Old Nevadian Genes FTW)

It would be too easy. Not to mention he can punch the fuck out of anyone who's not peter :P

And he doesn't start every fight with a Reppuken in the brain/heart.

Actually Janos doesn't heal during battle. He just doesn't get tired unless he loses like, half of his blood or something.

Arm sliced off? Fine.

Hole punctured through torso? Cheh.

Janos eyed Dean for a moment, blinking silently at his incredulous answer. He then brought out the manila envelope his instructor had sent him off with, carrying the profiles of the three captains and the one vice.

"Jose Carlos, Wolf; Lilith Vargreaves, Shadow; Maxwell Bernadotte, Phoenix; Alexander Amor, Sun. They will be here under the sponsorship of an unknown party, their self-interest overriding their duties as Arcadians."

He sighed, and cocked his head over to the hotel in the distance.

"And, at approximately 9:00 hours, an entourage of black cars of an organization called 'Stradavarius' arrived and checked in. Might want to pay attention to what's going on around you. I'm going to assume it was you that lacked the fortitude to dodge stairs."

It doesn't seem to do all that much. Magic, chi and psychic are their own rewards. Let's us do all kinds of outrageous stuff.

Durability? There are still plenty of ways to neutralise a guy with high durability.

Dean could heal a finger cut or paper cut or something in a day, which, while awesome, dosnt seem completely useful.

I'm tempted to just go fuck it, and use ANIME LOGIC in which 20X Healing is actually amazing.

Hilda was on par with Current pete in Dur.

Deans knife penetrated without Dean holding it, and with Dean holding it.

Deans almost twice as powerful as he was then.

A guy with 5 strength and 10 speed is going to beat a guy with 0 strength and 15 speed. And face it, if you can pull off moves well written or conceptsualised enough, you can stretch your strength limit somewhat. For example, Xellos's Ice Dragon form is more like a blockbuster than a house buster.

Wei Levi had yet to move from his spot before the beach. The Dragon Captain had much to reflect on; the price of his style, Lilith, the future, and his past. Despite the turmoil within his thoughts, something caught his eye.

Glancing down, he noticed that the eyes of his dragon medallion were glowing brightly. Placing his hand around it, Levi suddenly grew very still.

After the various times Sun Wukong had brought him to his realm, Levi knew when he was in the astral realm...yet this was not the Monkey King's work.

Still only a child and yet your energy burns so brightly! An inhuman voice said from the darkness surrounding him.

Glancing around with both eyes --the left unmarred in his astral form-- Levi saw nothing at first, but then he saw it. It's eyes were burning like flames, watching him.

Again her words struck true. Maybe it was because he liked her so much as a friend or perhaps he knew he was just weak but he knew their truth.

He took her hand "Yes, the samurai embraced Buddhism because it allowed them to freely take life on the battle field but that is something I cannot do."

He looked at her slight smile and it gave him hope "Im sorry when a glaring truth hits you that you where weak like I was being I dont know a mind wanders to terrible thoughts..." At that moment the cloth that had wrapped Kekowa's head fell off. He didnt realize he had taken off his helmet earlier and all the up and down he did rattled it. It fell over their hands.

Kekowa picked it up and looked at it Daichi Yamada, I will never forget. a bit of water formed in Kekowa's eye as he held it in his hands. All at once it came flooding back. His reason for being, his promise on Daichi's grave that he would live up to his mighty name and make Daichi proud.

A new look came over Kekowa, one of fierceness, he wrapped it around his head like a bandanna and looked at Natalie softly "I thank you. Its always best to hear the truth than a sugar coated lie. You have shown me why I fight. I will not harai kiri myself, I made a promise to a friend I would live up to his mighty name."

Then Kekowa's face began to go back to normal, the happy look he has had. He bowed his head "Thank you Natalie."

OOC: I wonder if GG missed or decided this was a good ending.

How does everyone else like? I thought It was rather nice and cerebral, turned a potential disaster into a nice Character development story. Personally I think its rather poignant.

I just need closure so Kekowa can maybe move out of this timeline:p

Sighing again, Tamiko gave Selma a half smile, "Have you ever heard yourself speak?" with that, Tamiko created a psychic construct version of Selma, and exact copy. This Selma 2 then spoke in her voice, "That would be nice," Selma said, slowly. "But, thing is, I don't think you can do that, Tamiko. Natalie tried, Rhia tried..." She shook her head. "I'll just disappoint you too. It's no use."

The construct then vanished, "Before anyone else can help you, you have to start by helping yourself. You have to start by wanting to change, by wanting to become happier." Tamiko gave Selma a stern look, "The reason why no one else has been able to help you, is only because you don't want them to."

For a few moments, Selma kept staring at the empty space where her mirror image has just been.

"I know..."

She looked at Tamiko. "I know that. But you don't understand! Rhia... Rhia said I'm beautiful. That I'm smart and funny and a lot of other nice things. She said that it's not my fault, and I really, really want to believe her, but..."

She shook her head. "...If that's true, if I am the person she says I am, why do I keep feeling like a big failure? Why do I keep being selfish and beat myself up for being stupid and useless? It doesn't make sense."

Maarjaara lay down and put his big, heavy head in her lap. She absently scratched him under his chin with a strangely thoughtful look on her face. "...Rhia said it was all in my head, you know? That I'm the only one who thinks those things about myself. That I'm delusional. Is that it, Tamiko? Is it just that I'm crazy?"

OOC: It's true that I was sleepy back then and mostly made Kiran leak the info on a whim. I had thought of a good reason for it, however.

Thing is, I hadn't expected Xellos to notice just yet and frankly, I'd sort of forgotten about it. It took me a while to remember the reasoning behind it. ^^;

Xellos shook his head,

"Natalie is not a suitable personality type for intrigue and spy games. She is an honest soul and lousy at lying on the fly. I brought her along as insurance in case my fellow Dragon Dorm students were manipulated into thinking I had turned traitor."

his face dipped slightly as he continued,

"You, however, are a head of state and heavily versed in espionage. Good man though you may be, you control and manipulate information to your advantage. I understand it. I do it myself."

"However, I never callously betray trust for no perceivable advantage. Giving my intentions away endangered me. Not only might I have been killed, but KRIEG could have ended up using me to their own ends, giving me just enough bait to keep biting till it was too late. What did you hope to gain from that?"

"Maybe she's actually a very, very good liar?" Kiran suggested happily. "If she is a spy for KRIEG, it wouldn't surprise me at all if..."

"Oh, enough!" Raksha interrupted irritably. "Stop teasing the boy, Kiran, and tell the truth for once."

Kiran shrugged. "Fine. Yes, Xellos, I did let KRIEG know that you were a double agent. My reasoning for this was two-fold. The first reason was to ensure the security of Operative XIII. I was hoping that if you presented information that they expected to be false, they might be encouraged to look in the wrong places. I'm happy to tell you that it worked perfectly; as far as I can tell, KRIEG currently believes that Operative XIII is merely a red herring designed to cause dissent within their ranks."

"The second reason was to make KRIEG more interested in you. You may find this hard to believe, Xellos, but you are actually more valuable to KRIEG as my agent then you are as theirs. At first you were just a useful tool, something that could be casually discarded or sacrificed. But now you're actually important, something they can use to get to me."

He sighed and shook his head. "I know you must be angry with me. Perhaps I should have told you this from the start. But I honestly thought you would be safer not knowing; I was worried you wouldn't be able to cope with such a sword of Damocles hanging over your head. Perhaps I underestimated you, and for that I'm truly sorry."

Then he turned to Xellos and grinned. "Telling them you are a triple spy was brilliant, though. I admit, I didn't quite expect that." ^_~

"Tell me, have they started using their recruitment tactics on you yet?"

For a few moments, Selma kept staring at the empty space where her mirror image has just been.

"I know..."

She looked at Tamiko. "I know that. But you don't understand! Rhia... Rhia said I'm beautiful. That I'm smart and funny and a lot of other nice things. She said that it's not my fault, and I really, really want to believe her, but..."

She shook her head. "...If that's true, if I am the person she says I am, why do I keep feeling like a big failure? Why do I keep being selfish and beat myself up for being stupid and useless? It doesn't make sense."

Maarjaara lay down and put his big, heavy head in her lap. She absently scratched him under his chin with a strangely thoughtful look on her face. "...Rhia said it was all in my head, you know? That I'm the only one who thinks those things about myself. That I'm delusional. Is that it, Tamiko? Is it just that I'm crazy?"

Selma sighed. "I'm tired," she whispered. "I'm so tired of this..."

Tamiko smiled gently, seeing a ray of hope in Selma's words, "Rhia's right, you are a wonderful person. It's true that everyone else thinks so, except you."

Tamiko paused, "It's not that your crazy or delusional. I believe that it's just that you are scared, that you have convinced yourself that you have to be perfect all the time and that you never can be. These fears haunt you, making you depressed and runing any chance you have at being happy."

Thinking very hard on this, "Selma, perhaps the only way for you get past this is to confront your fears head on. You have to learn not to let them control you or your life. There are many ways to go about this, but only if you are willing to do so."

Janos unfolded his arms and began to tremble. Then rock. Then, finally, he stuttered forward and began to laugh outrageously loud. He made his way down the stairs , reached over and pat Dean on the back.

"You're all right, Dragon. You're all right."

He held out his free hand across to him.

"Janos Tantalus, Captain of Lion Dorm. Mourn sent me an invite, said they had a slot open."

OOC: Conclusion of part 1!!!!

Dean was not quite sure what to make of Janos, but his original first impression hadnt been one to put him in a good light. Firstly, he seemed far too serious for Dean to get along with. (Though how he managed to co-exist with Kagura was simply one of the worlds unsolved mysteries).

Not to mention he seemed presumptous, arrogant, even, upon first glance. But Deans oppinion of the man changed almost instantly, upon seeing Janos bow before the awesome charm of Dean Gatlain.

Anyone who could lose to the power of Old Nevadian Charisma, couldn't be that bad.

Dean extended his own hand to meet Janos, a grin on his face.

"Dean Gaitlain, Asskicker of Dragon Dorm. If Jericho invitied you, fine by me."

Although I wish people would tell me these things...Christ, it's not like I have superhuman hearing.....Wait a minute...damnit!

Shaking her head slightly, then smiling, "Don't think like that. It's not that every thing you know about yourself is a lie. It's more a matter of perception, that's all. Everyone has a "Light' side, and a 'Dark" side. Your 'Light' side is beautiful, and caring, and loyal and strong. That's the side everyone else sees when they look at you. When you look at yourself, however you only see your 'Dark' side, the side that embodies all of the things your hate about yourself. That side is controlling you with fear, making you see yourself in a way that causes you pain and misery."

Tamiko gives Selma's hand a gentle, friendy squeeze, "You need to fight this fear, to break free from your 'Dark' side, and begin to see your 'Light' side. That is the side that will bring you happiness and give you the strength to move forward."

I OTOH are bored. Val is/was trying to talk to Xellos but Fal had to go, not sure if I can make her avalible. Kekowa is a possibleity because My convo with Nat is just about finished(waiting for GG's response for closure) So I could say he walks over aftere the convo is done
