I'm probably the last one to notice this (as usual), but the two planets that are depicted in this issue are Dlaw-Neurg and Ollupac... which, of course, are Gruenwald and Capullo spelled backwards... :)
I know, I know, everyone else probably saw it and talked about it already... I had only skimmed through this issue before, then re-read it today... go figure.

Yep, we noticed.
I'm assuming it's Rosemann's gag, since it also showed up in WRAITH (Planet Rei-Vaj, or somesuch). Either that, or Javi totally stole it from Christos.

The reverse naming thing is new, but naming planets in the Marvel cosmos after real people isn't. (The skrull throneworld of Satriani, for example).
I must admit to being curious about whether this particular take on the trend developed out of that, or if it was something new for Annihilation- and who came up with it.
(Don't recall this offhand in the first Annihilation- does anyone else?)

The first Annihilation didn't use it. Unless Goothab Omega, Zaragz'na, Daedelus 5, and Uruma Minor are anagrams that I'm not seeing, of course.

You mean you don't recognize the names of Baht Oog Agemo, Ann Zgaraz, Suledad Evif and Amuru Ronim? :p

It was Bill "Represent" Rosemann.

Actually there's also Asterioid Nil-Rast in Nova 6; anagram of the great Jim Starlin.

I'm going to guess Thanos is buried there, with a note on his tombstone reading "Retcon this!!!"
