Hi.
I'm new to this forum. I joined so I could vote in the CBI thing but found all kinds of other fun stuff here. I'm particularly enjoying checking out some of the artwork in this section. There's some great artwork to be found here.
Thought I would create a little sketch dump of my own and see what you guys think. Let me know. I love crits!

Great stuff. Clean and well-designed. The best thing about all your art is the personality that jumps off the page.

The way you color your art and the clean line work remind me of comics from the newpaper. If I offended you that was not my intent. Take the Namor picture for instance.

Polacek - Thanks man. I do try and capture the personality of the character. That is my biggest hangup when I do a pinup or sketch challenge. I spend an enormous amount of time trying to figure out how to convey the "character" of the character.
Chizel - No way did you offend me. :D I was just curious. I love newspaper strips BTW - not all but many of them.

sweet stuff, steev! i like best the way you handle machinery. looks like that's your forte.
hey you know the tabletop wargame Warmachines? i bet if you did a comic in that vein it'll rock!

Great marker shading, by the way.

Thanks guys!
Maxmen - I really hate drawing machinery. I really, really do. I stress over making it look like it would actually work. I would rather draw 20 pitures of a forest scene than one machine pic. Ha!
This is kinda fun. I did this for the Ten Ton Members Only Jam. One page from the story.

You kind of need more of the story to get what's going on. It's fun to look at though.

You could have fooled me about your machinery art. Looks great!

Yes, GWAR does rule! I should draw some Gwar some day. That would be fun.
I finished this last night. I'm gonna hafta go back and fix that one ugly tree though.

C'mon, he's gonna make! He has to live at least long enough to make it to the play. ;)
Here's a rough for my upcoming entry in the Ten Ton Sketch Challenge. The subject this week is Milk & Cheese vs. The Marvel Universe (any Marvel character).

Thanks, Mr. Steve! You need to come back for more sketch challenges, slacker! I still haven't beaten you so I can own some of your fine original art yet. ;)
Here's a couple new pieces done for a commission. Like a dope, I didn't realize that the designs were soooooooo similar until I was ready to send them!
