Carnage. But I wouldn't call it hatred, just a complete lack of me caring about the character.

I guess out of all them I choose the Red Skull.

Imo, I think all the characters listed are pertty cool in one way or another, whether they're smart like Reed or just have a cool power, personality, appearance or whatever, but I really don't think there's anything cool about the Red Skull, other than being a long time bad guy of Cap's that you like to see get beat because he's s stinking red skull faced nazi. I mean, for a bad guy he's pertty good at being that, but other than that, he's pertty lame I think, not even close to being a cool bad guy.

Joe Q with Iron Man as 2nd.

Joe Q with Iron Man as 2nd.
Yeah, that'll end up in most people's lists.

In the options, I'd pick Carnage as well. Don't hate him but other than getting ripped in half and that cool issue in Amazing where Kasady was symbiote-less, nothing great has been done with the character...

Otherwise, I don't like Amadeus Cho. He's an arrogant knowitall whose expectations of the so called Noble Hulk were nicely shattered in WWH 4.

Of those on the list Wolverine only because the last 5 years have completely ruined what little was still cool about him after the overexposure of the 90's.

But really its more disgust than hate for him. And there are many other characters who I truly do hate.

Carnage. He is a DC villain, and that isn't a good thing.

There is nothing interesting about a person with no motivation.

hate would be said too much, but at the moment i don't really like Cyclops and Iron Man.

I picked the Red Skull because he's associated with a horrible ideology. I would pick Carnage second, because cool though his powers may be, he's a mad, cold-blooded killer.

Joe Q with Iron Man as 2nd.

LOL thats classic, if he were up there I'd definately pick Joe Q. I picked Carnage, never been a big fan of any symbiote other than Venom. I just hope they keep him dead and buried.

Magneto and Dr. Doom, two very well thought out villians with amny good apperances. No problems here.

Wolverine a god character that's been ran into the ground in the last several years. The guy's just a shadow of himself these days. Still, that's better than ...

Iron Man, who's just a shadow of Dr. Doom these days. I find nothing enjoyable with this character at the moment, although he has had plenty of good moments in the past. What's worse is no mater how crooked and imoral he presents himself, Marvel always seems to come right out and say that he's 100% right in what he does.

Red Skull, some villians you just love to hate. This is one of them.

Venom, a decent villian, but horribly over exposed in the 90s and still hasn't recovered from it. I'm not a fan of the Scorpion Venom at all, because it ruins two perfectly god characters.

Carnage, a twisted nasty evil villian who's evil twisted and nasty by choice. I really like this none. He adds a nice contrast to the rest of Spidey's rogues. There's nothing sympathetic about this guy at all.

Captain America, as long as Millar and Bendis aren't writting this guy I like him. I'm no fan of Bruebaker's work on the character either, but at least he's presented with respect and competency there.

Cyclops, dull as dishwater.

Reed Richards, dull as dishwater, but in an enjoyable quirky sort of way that's embraced it. The character was horrible during Civil War, though.

I've never understood why Carnage gets sucha bad rap for being a mindless killing amchine without motive and people tend to love Sabretooth so much for the same reason.

Carnage is from the 90's and therefore an automatically bad character.

I've never understood why Carnage gets sucha bad rap for being a mindless killing amchine without motive and people tend to love Sabretooth so much for the same reason. For me, it's the level of derivation and dilution. Sabretooth is a more twisted Wolverine. Carnage is a more twisted Venom who is a more twisted Spider-Man.

Plus, "Maximum Carnage" really, really, really, really, really sucked. Even by mid-to-late '90s Spider-Man standards.

Its a crappy list

I liked it, it was like Secret Wars just one really long fight, com paired to Zero Tolerance or the 12 or Crossing or any Heroes reborn or post Heroes reborn Thor/Iron Man/Captain America issue it wasn't that bad. The bar is way to high for Spider-man stories and characters.

another vote for carnage (although I was tempted to put cyclops)

Characters like carnage and maximum carnage make murder appear meaningless in comics. The greatest serial killers in history (if you remove despots) had less than 200 kills, and the most famous killers are usually under 10, Carnage killed that in one hour. It just takes away the emotional attachment/disgust that you feel for the villains action when lifes are literally treated as if they are just drawings/characters in a book.

maximum carnage was a fun read, but I never took it serious, just enjoyed it because of the large cast of characters it brought in, but if that entire storyline is wiped out of continuity it wouldn't make one difference to me.

cyclops is basically the worse hero in marvel comics (provided you are smart and don't consider the punisher to be a hero) the guy is just boring and for a guy who is supposedly the leader of the X-men a pansy and a p-whipped boy who even dc wouldn't consider to be worthy of being in their lineup. Heck he is the only character with a more screwed up origin than hawkman in comics.

Sabretooth is not mindless, and he's fun. See what Carey did with him on X-men. Plus, he's a mirror to Logan, what he could have been without his principles, and what he tries not to become.

Well OK, I liked Carnage in the beginning but I was bored after a while. I can't understand why all the hatred about him. I mean he is just an overrated pointless villain, end of story. My god, he's got about 20 votes, and Iron Man has 8, am I right?

Anyway, from those in that list I would say Iron Man, and I love his comic because I hate him. Really, I'm 100% serious. But there is not a hate list without Sentry, true. Or Sally Floyd.

I save my "hatred" for certain DCU characters but these are the ones from the MU I dislike the most:

- The Punisher: Marvel's glorified serial killer and a hypocrite to boot. Plus, insane Jobber Aura. This is probably the one and only Marvel character I cannot stand, not even with Garth Ennis as his writer

- The Sentry: Sooo f*cking powerful that he's broken, that's why his writers have to come up with lame excuses for not having him solve every major crisis in a matter of miliseconds. Most superfluous character EVER

- Venom & Carnage: Can you say OVERHYPED?

- Luke Cage: Bendis made me despise him, since Jobber Auras are the things in comicbooks I hate the most

I vote for Cyclops : Why it's one of these caracters they do nothing. X-Men without Cyclops will be good. We can replace him by anybody in the X-Men. He does nothing.
My first reflex was Iron Man, But I hate him because the stories is good with and I think I love hate him.
But for Cyclops, I'm happy to read titles of X-Men without him. In the recent X-Men run, He was useless like always.

Cyclops, such a one-note character. Either mourning his wife or now his future son. Blah blah blah, cry me a river, Scott Summers.

For this poll, I voted Carnage, because he's a bad photocopy of Venom, and I wasn't a big fan of Venom, either.

But if there had been different choices, I would have picked Joe Quesada or Sentry. If forced to choose between the two, I would give the nod to Sentry. The original story was okay, but as an ongoing character, he is worthless.

Carnage for me. Don't really hate the guy, I just don't care for him and can do without him. But it does get very annoying when non-comic readers make Carnage out to be one of the greatest characters in comic-lore.

A lot of votes for Carnage, but i'm going for the original,,,,,Venom. I've never liked the character and thought the whole symbiote stuff was crap.

(I love the Sentry though so my opinion may not count for much.)

I haven't read much Carnage stuff, so I gues I'll go for Wolverine. Loved him back when I watched the 90's cartoon, but these days, all this overexposure gets a little tiresome. Still a good character, just needs someone to shake things up a bit.

also, though I understand peoples reasons for disliking the Sentry, I can honestly say its ten times more frustrating being a Sentry fan, and having to endure Bendis' whiney version that apparently throws everything into the sun.
seriously, give him to David Hine, his version in Silent War was far more interesting

Actually I think that his appearance in SW was great, it was the first time I liked the character. It's truth that Hine is a great writer...

Wolverine, because he's an emo and always whine about his lost memories over a hundred years. And boring because his story is all about his lost memories.

Captain America, because he is the most boring hero in the Marvel Universe.

I voted IM, not just because of the CW stuff, their had to be a super hero riding for registration and I'm glad it was him instead of a someone I gava a s#$t about.

I despise IM because of how he holds himself up as this great hero from behind his suit of armor, he just comes off as a punk ass to me. Think for a second of all the genuis characters there are, and now think how useless they'd be if they wore a suit of indestructable armor all the time.

I get all the Cyclops hate, he's written very boring, but a severe bone breaking, hopefully crippling beating of Gambit could save him. 2 birds w/ one stone, cyclops does something other than cry, or get disrespected, and Gambit gets hammered.

Thats just being ignorant of the character. Do you have any idea how much work and effort goes into those suits? You don't have to be a musclehead to be a great hero.

Think for a second of all the genuis characters there are, and now think how useless they'd be if they wore a suit of indestructable armor all the time.

I wouldn't call someone with a genius mind AND indestructible armor useless. The opposite would be much closer to the truth IMO.

I get all the Cyclops hate, he's written very boring, but a severe bone breaking, hopefully crippling beating of Gambit could save him. 2 birds w/ one stone, cyclops does something other than cry, or get disrespected, and Gambit gets hammered.

No, what Cyke needs to do is start acting like the leader he is and quit twiddling his thumbs. Nothing else is going to turn things around for him.
