That is bad ass, but it's kind of an unfair advantage when you can get riddled full of bullets and still be able to pose for the camera.
It's also HOT. *fans self* I admit to having a slight Wolverine fetish, currently amplified by too much coffee and creamer.

Blob's ass is pretty bad, wouldn't want one as bad as that. Imagine trying to find a public toilet with an ass like that. That could turn out very bad indeed. Definitely a bad ass.

One thing I really about that pic I like is how lined and aged Wolverine's face is. I makes him look like the scary old man he.
But as far as "riddled with holes and posing" thing goes, I prefer this:

My favorite Cable image, however, is from X-Tinction Agenda (same story that the Wolverine image I posted above is from). Unfortunately I can't find it anywhere online. It's that panel of him holding a pistol and aiming it at Hodge while Hodge hides behind Psylocke. IMO that picture is the epitome of "bad ass."

@Chemicalx: Ever since the 90's, I've hated all of Storm's appearances. That being said, she's rockin' the mowhawk!
However, whenever I see that (imo) heinous picture of her in that nude bathingsuit, I always get the the feeling that we can rest assure that her carpets match the drapes. *vomits* not what I want to see on Storm.
Not saying others aren't entitled to like it, but c'mon. Marvel only produced that for sex.

I can see what you mean but considering storm originally had no problem going around with no cloths on at all and wore either a bikini or a thong in 3/4 of her outfits I dont see this as a big stretch but I understand how some people might not like it. I think its a pretty cool image though.

Marvel's biggest mistake was stroking Jim's ego until he thought he WAS the X-Men (and the greatest artist ever) and left to make his own company and his own X-Men (ala Wildcats). Fortunately, he is a nice guy or I'd hate him always for shoving Claremont off the title.

Jim decided he wanted to plot the X-Men and he went behind Claremont's back to Harras. It became big drama and Claremont ended up being no longer on the book he had been working on for the past 17 years and Jim was left plotting the book. Year later and Jim was gone - deciding if he was that cool, he could start his own comic book company. It was Marvel that took Jim's side over Claremont's - they said "the artist is more important the writer!"

i think common consensus is leaning toward larroca's work is pretty poor (put in the word "lately" if you want) and the silvestri art was nothing special on the one-shot. this doesn't mean they aren't right for other books, so i don't know what marvel's employment has to do with anything.

Agreed. She, much like the majority of the supporting/background characters in Spiderwoman, was random, rather unique & I enjoyed it. She didn't seem evil from what I remember & I haven't seen her since that issue (and that was from the 1970s.) I like her strange sort of bond with Spiderwoman (at first anyway), even if it was more of Jessica just searching for someone she could relate to so she wouldn't feel so alone. Gypsy Moth's backstory/histoy was interesting as well.
Also don't like her new design she looks wayyyyyyy to slutty like someone you would pick up in a really seedy biker bar and not tell anyone.
Woah. I just googled her. The character design looks completley different (even a different hair color--like a new character.) You descirbed her well, Pariah.

Well, under Austen, the biggest complaint is that everyone was out of character. Lorna's temporary insanity (if you want to call it that) under Austen and even before Austen, I got. However, her psychotic jealousy over Nurse Annie, I did not get. Because it was out of character.
She got over insecurities during X-Factor, and was independent for a good while during her time on Genosha.

Um, no. I wasn't confusing temporary insanity with self esteem. Why would I do that? I brought temp insanity UP because I was referencing Austen, and her psychotic jealousy plays on her self esteem. Where, in the present, has her self esteem been an issue? For that single issue when she lost her powers? Because that was clearly a temporary thing, considering she was immediately abducted by Apoc, and back to her old self again after that whole shpeal was dealt with.

and like i said self esteem doesn't just go away even tho she might be with Havok right now that has never changed the way she feels about herself eternally.
i don't think Xavier messed with any of that cause personally i think it would be going to far in helping her.
personally i like how she is this gorgeous woman who has men fighting for her all the time and is very powerfull but deep down inside has some insecurities, i think this makes her more relate able than possibly Jean Grey herself.

She's never said she's less confident with her powers. She's only said they are more dangerous and harder for her to control. She's also had therapy sessions on specifically her self esteem issues (coincidentally, one being the same session that all of X-Factor had to go to, and it was revealed that Pietro wanted down her pants, which is such a gross thought now that we know they're siblings), and who knows what she and Xavier used to discuss in their meetings, other than Lorna's mental trauma.
I liked the idea back in the day, and I still like that she did have these issues, but we haven't seen any inclination that's she's insecure about her appearance. Look at the uniforms she wears. Her last one was a purple dominatrix uniform that accentuated her boobs and curves, and there was that issue she was nekkid in She Lies with Angels and Logan was staring her in the carpet, and she shrugged it off.
Plus, she's currently ready to 'beat Havok up' because of Alex's insecurities, so... I really don't think she's insecure anymore.

that they don't just go away even when you are going thru some good times and feel more confidant about you're self and you're body.
things maybe going great for her right now but i can guarantee in the dark corners of her mind she is always going to have doubts and self esteem problems because those are INHERENT to who she is as a person.
and as for Pietro wanting to nail her -- he didn't know that they were related, and i am not going to believe that they are until i hear some proof being Lorna's dna sample and Magneto admitting he is he father (and not saying this too manipulate her to his side which he would do) and then telling her who her mother really is and that whole story,
which he gave to Wanda and Pietro and frankly i think she deserves some solid answers right now because i am sure that is hurting her self esteem not to the person she thinks of as a father to acknowlege her like he did the others.
the only reason im fighting this whole thing is because i know how the x-men editors and writers think and if they can tease us that little bit longer and then when they run out of ideas they can make a big event out of it and cash in like they did with Wolverines origins lately.

Well, you can guarentee all you want, but every case is different, so I can disagree all I want. I'm not saying it was an overnight change. It isn't. And by "not insecure" anymore, I don't mean she is 100% Emma-confident. No. I mean she's much more confident than she is insecure, these days. She's about to fight off the Imperial Guard on her own, fighting with brass balls and (hopefully) not chiming in with, "I don't know if I can do this!"
Anyway, as for heritage, it was established. Pretty clearly. She took his DNA, got it tested. He DID acknowlege her as his daughter by making her heir. When he was "dead" and the three Magnus-spawn, Xavier and Wolvie went to Genosha, she was immediately worshipped by survivors. *shrugs* that's pretty indicative to me.

Just playing devil's advocate, she WAS extremely mentally unstable at the time she claimed the DNA test was positive. (And by mentally unstable I mean, you know, batpoop insane.) And being worshipped by survivors is no indicator, it's not like they have some scientific insight... they're beaten-down people looking for a savior, of course they'll believe someone who tells them she's the daughter of their former lord.
Personally, I'm not strongly in either camp, except for feeling that if Marvel wanted to make her Magneto's daughter (and yet another "so and so must be related, instead of just having the same power"), they need to actually publish a story that revolves around it and couldn't be told if she weren't his daughter. They haven't done that yet, but I'll keep waiting.
-D
GoingGreen

She wasn't mentally unstable when she had the test DONE. (Aside: And no, she's never been 'batpoop' insane. If she was, she would've killed everyone at her wedding instead of just knocking them unconscious. AS Paige said, she could've killed everyone if she wanted to. She didn't.)
Polaris said nothing to the people of Genosha about being Mags daughter. In that issue, she said that when she returned to Genosha, Mags had already announced it to the Genoshan citizens. They worshipped her the second she got there, but then the sentinels attacked.
Personally, I'm a pro-Lorna Lehnsherr. I'm almost positive it was a better way to market Lorna and give her more importance in the MU as a whole. I'm glad it did. She was a sideliner for a long time, and now she's back in the "A" crowd X-Men instead of X-Factor or Genosha. If Marvel listens to the fans, we'll eventually see something progress between Lorna and Mags. Otherwise, it might be forgotten for decades upon decades. Like the third Summers brother, or Cecilia Reyes' existence (miss her mucho).

Didn't they decide that some of Magneto's ethical/emotional swings (hero/villain etc.) was because his magnetic powers were messing with his brain? (Or did that get retconned away?) Perhaps they could use the same argument for Lorna's radical personality shifts over the years too... They came up with something similar for Namor (in his case, the balance between seawater and air, the oxygenation of his blood, etc.) also to explain his different depictions over the years. (Of course the real reason is the writers wanted to write them all differently. Myself I thought the gradual progression of Magneto from villain to hero in the early-mid 1980s made more sense, and was slowly built over years by Claremont, but then they kept changing their minds what to do with him...)
