I just read through this mini series and enjoyed it a lot more than I expected to. Union Jack has to save Britain from a ton of villains with the help of Val from SHIELD, Sabra and the Arabian Knight.

Tons of fun action and lots of third-string villains to be had. They even used Fasaud. FASAUD! I'm impressed if anyone even knows who I'm talking about.

Anywho... I recommend checking out this series.

Yeah I picked up the trade of this. Highly commended if you've got a spare £ or two. Gage is IMO one of the best writters in comics today.

I actually really liked the mini, and I loved seeing all those classic villains again. Ecstasy is killer, loves her.

I completely agree. This was a great mini and the Gage/Perkins creative team are awesome. I'm definitely getting the House of M: Avengers mini-series that they are working. I really would love to see Gage get a monthly gig at Marvel - I've been that impressed with his work that I have read.

What all of you said. I didn't know most of the characters in the book, and yet the superb writing and art made me dig the series...

Actually I came across that issue in ragpaper dealer shop. Was much surprised how different he was in the mini..

The old school villains were great, and Union Jack was a real star. Loved it.

My only complaint would be the Gage's dialogue sometimes made Jack sound like Dick van Dyke in Mary Poppins in my opinion.

God, I hated that FF story...

But the Union Jack mini was killer.

Now if Gage decides to do a sequel to this one (guest starring Blade), then I'll be happy...
