I'm not diggin' the art, Scot Eaton is not my favorite artist.

I find it pretty sad that they went to the trouble to create team uniforms in New X-Men to make things easier in Messiah Complex and the artists still can't follow that. But I knew there was going to art problems in the crossover. Way too many characters, at varying level of mainstream visibility, for the five artists to keep everything straight. I'm betting even money Predator X looks notably different from book to book.
I'm hoping the art glitches become less as the crossover goes on.
On the other hand, so pumped for this!! I love how many characters are involved, I just hope they keep the plot strong.

I'm going to agree and disagree. That Storm image looks a little too top heavy, and I just don't mean the boobs. Also downside? Mercury looks like someone punched her in the face and dented her nose in. I do like the Rahne images, though. Seeing her tear it up is never a bad thing.

Gah more MC spoilers... I don't dare look.
Just in advance: i'm not using spoiler warnings in a thread discussing previews. Don't want to read the discussion, don't read the thread.
Oh noes! Wolverine in hospital, will he survive?!
I like the artwork, not entirely consistent throughout all panels but certainly not bad.
If all those panels are from x-factor 25 a LOT is happening in that issue. Madrox and Layla sucked into a gateway, Rahne cutting lose, new x-men, Wolverine apparently getting the crap beaten out of him. Should be good.

Art looks good to me.
Transitions from Tan/ Eaton to Bachalo/ Ramos will however be pretty jarring...

I guess I'm one of the few here who likes Humberto Ramos's art.

...why is Rahne eating Morman Freeman?

Julian has short hair again! I kinda like the emo look.

Right?
Julian has short hair again! I kinda like the emo look.
Me too!! Yes, Julian has short hair in this issue, but then in one of the other preview pages for New X-Men it shows him with long hair. Things like this will annoy me, but it's not going to ruin this crossover for me. But still, they should try and keep the look of the characters the same in each book unless the storyline calls for a change. But that's my opinion. . . .

And dont forget Rictor! We saw him in the last panel. Something surprises him.

Personally I think the art has a reason. I assume they started thi a long time ago to make sure everything shipped on time.
The new uniforms are fairly new, I think we won't be seeing more of these fake uniforms after this, but it's understandable why we're seeing old uniforms.

True, but I wish/hope Yost and Kyle gave advance notice of the changes to their kids. They've changed the kids uniforms and actual bodies so much it's hard for other artists to keep up. On the other hand Nightcrawler, Wolverine, Cyke etc have been wearing the same uniforms for years now. If someone gets them wrong then they're in real trouble!

i've seen most of these panels before.
wolverine appears to be smiling under his oxygen mask, so i'd say he'll be fine come next issue.

LOL!!!!!!!!
OMG they better not kill off Wolverine! Ugh I'll be so pissed if he dies!
Eaton's art can be good, but it just isn't in those pages. You'd think he'd put a little effort knowing it's for the crossover, but whatever. Looks sloppy and generic.

STOP DOING THIS TO ME EATON.
I flipped through the latest ES and I liked the art and now I come to this preview thread for my X-Book and it looks all kinds of fug. Fug is harsh...its just boring.
I liked it in ES because it seemed partially inspired by Coipel, and I think that really works for Eaton's style.
EH. I've decided to be indifferent, like Kalen.
