No thread on this? I thought it was a great conclusion to the mini-arc, looking forward to seeing the tale move into the early 80's.

The Silver Agent had powers. Whoever sent him on the time travel jaunt gave them to him? I'm guessing his appearance in the gang war was his last stop before returning to his execution, because he said something about growing more powerful the 'further back' he went.

Charles survives the shooting, saved by Royal in the nick of time. Deke predictably betrays the Platypus and begins his career as the Deacon. Looks like Royal might go the vigilante route, going after their parents murderer, perhaps even with Charles' help. Royal might even become one of the blodthirsty contemporaries of the Blue Knight that we've heard mentioned in passing. Simon Magus stops Dr. furst from using the Innocent Gun - it seemed like there was a bit of One Ring thing going on with Furst and the Gun. And ther Incarnate is still hanging around.

I'm really hoping we learn more about the Innocence Gun in Book 3. I have a feeling it's gonna tie in with the Incarnate...

And the next spotlight issue is about Beauty. That should be good. I guess the Astra Furst spotlight will be between Books 3 & 4. Should be interesting to see how much she's grown.

I think the Innocent Gun will definitely play a part in the next storyarc. Simon magus seems very interested in it, and were getting closer to the period where he supposedly dissapeared. The gun might tie into his fate.

Whoa, there's more Astro City? I just finished reading all the trades (from Life in the Big City to Local Heroes) and I must admit I got hooked on it; but I didn't know they were still coming out with new stories. Does The Dark Age come right after "Local Heroes" or is there something in between? And is it in tpb format?

Publication-wise, yes, The Dark Age comes after Local Heroes, but chronology -wise it happens in the '70s. It's hasn't been collected yet. So far we're halfway through the 16-part series, with Astro City: The Dark Age, Book One #1-4 & Astro City: The Dark Age, Book 2 #1-4. Oh, and a Samaritan special one-shot that came out inbetween the minis.
