Chris Ryall, Editor-in-Chief of IDW, lives close to the fires happening in Southern California. He and a couple of his staff have been evacuated. Due to this, he will not be able to give his advice and critique the contestant assignments this round.

Correction: Chris wrote me that he will still try to post later if he can (and he hasn't been evacuated yet as far as I know).

I've got relatives in San Diego so I'm keeping an eye on CNN and my thoughts are with everyone out there dealing with this...

Vince Hernandez of Aspen Comics will now be a regular judge for the remaining rounds.

It's good to know things are still truckin' on even with some very understandable setbacks.

Got 'em all done now--sorry for any delay, folks. Our office and all the employees are fine--even the people who got evacuated are back home, and only one is still facing any potential situation with one of the fires. The rest of us are back to relative normalcy and trying our best not to breathe in mouthfuls of ash.
