Well, this is pretty spelled out. As much as we love them, every now and then our favorite heroes need some sense slapped back into them. So who would you slap? Assuming of course, that they can't actually do anything to you.

Well considering Hero has become such a subjective word these days thats a really tough Question. Initially I would say Tony Stark but I no longer see hime as a hero. I would probably say Justice to try and get him to wake up and look around at whats happening to the KIDS around him.
IRONY...

Cyclops to start behaving as the leader he is and stop running behind skirts

Hak Pym and then I would say "How do YOU like it?!"
*dodges tomatoes*...I kid, I kid....sorry :o
Actually I would slap Ms. Marvel....I dont like her thought bubles in Avengers and the way she leads the team....I dont know...maybe Bendis doesnt right her as good as Reed....after House of M, I was hoping she would really step up for Marvel as a strong female lead but am somewhat dissapointed....so...
I mean...its like come on girl ...you can do better....*slap*...*slap*.....*slap*....*slap*.... .*slap*.....*slap*....*slap*....whoops...I got carried away there......but I liked it! :D
runner-up goes to the Sentry when he pulls his basketcase act... *slap!*

Probably Speedball.
oooooo good answer....I forgot about him....but wouldnt slaping speedball do damage to yourself since you are inflicting pain and that is how his power is activated....hmmmm....might be worth it anyway.....*slap!*

Let me see... Well, I'm tempted to say Squirrel Girl because I know she wouldn't be able to kick my ass for it, though I would probably miss out of fear. Or I would miss and that slap would become a grope :D
I think the Hulk needs a good slap across the face for being such a huge douche. And I would slap Cho. Because I hate him.

It was the NEXT DAY!!!!!!!!
fair enough. i actually looked up the statute. Eric is guilty of breaking 2 man laws.
firstly, he broke the "poke it, you own it" rule. Chris clearly was poking it.
and then there's....
"It was suggested to be various short amounts of time, but the idea of dating a friend's ex was thought to be wholly unacceptable by Mr. Reynolds. However, when asked "What if she's drop-dead gorgeous?", Mr. Reynolds changed his answer to "Six months" and the motion was summarily accepted."
like you mentioned, it was the next day. but she was gorgeous.
i guess the old adage, "bros before hoes" applies as well. so zombie Chris totally has the right to beat Eric up. of course, there's also a statute that would deem it reasonable for Hank Pym's fellow Avengers to take him into an alley and beat him down.

I was going to say that I'd give Spiderman a good shake for being such a neurotic, guilty wuss about Aunt May, but you've convinced me. Eric O'Grady wins.

if it makes you all feel better, he was slapped at least 3 times during his short-lived series. that's some kind of record for a new hero.

Actually, she was not that hot. Kinda reminded me of Janis from the ghostbusters cartoon.

The Sentry, so he will actually do something. Or Thunderbird III, but he deserves a punch. Preferentially a retcon one.

hey, she was supposed to be SHIELD's "it" girl before Chris and Eric got to her. she was decent looking in the graveyard scene, at least. ok, so she's no Ms. Marvel. they can't all be.

On the face or on the bum?
On the face I'd smack Tony Stark. Then I'll leave a bottle of Jack Daniels nearby hoping he'll sink himself into a drunken stupor... again.
On the bum I'd smack Mystique. She seems like the kinda girl who likes it rough. Maybe if I do it hard enough she'll <3 me instead of kill me.

Wolverine, of course. The guy really sucks.
Well, he's not a hero anymore in my opinion either, but I'd probably slap Tony anyway.
If not him, Spider-Man for seriously considering betraying his wife to save his aunt. It may seem noble that he's willing to sacrifice her yadda yadda, but "Till death do us part"is the oath he gave to MJ, and it was a promise born of love.
Besides, if May isn't going straight onto heaven as soon as she dies then no one in the MU is

I'd slap Professor X for locking up a sentient being in his cellar and turning it into a holodeck (or maybe I should just slap Whedon).
I'd slap Civil War Reed Richards, World's Stretchiest Facist. And then his neck would reach its elastic limit and his face would come flying back towards me, so I'd hit it again, elastic limit, slap, elastic limit, slap...It's your basic Swing-Ball beat-down.
And I'd slap Big Bertha of the G.L.A. Not because I don't like her; I just think that watching flesh undulate for thirty minutes would be kinda soothing...

I would slap Tony Stark, except he isnt a hero anymore. He is a villain. There is nothing they can do to redeem him in my eyes. They could kill him off. It would still not redeem him but at least he'd get what he deserves.
Same for Ms. Marvel. Fascist. Beat up any more women in front of their kids lately?
I would also slap Spider-Man from being dumb enough to go public and trusting Stark, but I think he has learned his lesson. Besides, that was 100% our of character. It was done for shock, or because the rent-a-writers only want to tell the story, they dont care anymore whether something makes sense or is in character. They just make the character do what is necessary for the story to proceed.
Of course, I guess really, I'd like to slap Marvel itself. All this Registration and Civil War and turning Stark evil is a big load. I wont pay for a Marvel product ever again. Well, maybe the movies, as long as the registration crap isnt in it. Otherwise all my money is going to DC and Independent comics.

i would slap wolverine upside the head. why is it that he (more the writers problem) forgets that he was expertly trained to be a killer and is supposed to be the best he is at what he does? every fight i see with him always starts with him jumping head first into the battle and then being blasted aside like a rag doll. have some self respect douch

1) Tony Stark. For thinking he can trust the government to not mess with super-powered humans as soon as his back is turned. Also, for siding with the government against Captain America in the first place. And for the psychological pressure he placed on Spider-Man to reveal his identity.
2) Peter Parker. For confessing to the world that he was Spider-Man. (And possibly for sacrificing Mary Jane to save Aunt May if One More Day turns out like some people are saying it will.)
3) Remy LeBeau. For overestimating his strength of will when it came to Apocalypse's body-and-mind-altering capabilities. For joining Mr. Sinister's Marauders.
4) Bobby Drake. For trusting Mystique at all.
5) Matt Murdock. For setting the Kingpin free and thus being partly responsible for that a**hole being out of the reach of Spider-Man's justice should Aunt May actually keel over and die. (Way to honor years of friendship, jack***.)
