Normally, I'd bitch and moan about DC changing the creative team on a new (re)launch, but this one is too dang cool to get upset about:

Chuck Dixon named as new Batman and the Outsiders writer (http://forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=133176)

Guess you can add 2 DC books to my pull list - Robin and this one. Very, very, very happy to see Chuck Dixon writing superhero books (and especially Batman related ones) again!

Can Dixon do full on Superheroes? I've read loads of hist stuff an I can't think of anything where the protagonists were anything more that highly skilled but unpowered humans.

You make a really good point there. Thinking back, you've got (and I am sure that I am forgetting a ton of stuff), Crossgen, all of the Batman related books, the Punisher. Has he ever written anyone like Superman or Spider-Man?

Huh?

I always thought he handled Superman well when he guest starred in books like Nightwing.

There's a huge difference between the tone, action and style, actually.

Dixon's good with street level characters, but he did everything he could to marginalize the influence of the Teen Titans on Nightwing (outside his relationship with Deathstroke) and I don't recall his Oracle ever even acknowledging her time on the Suicide Squad. So I guess this will be the time to see how he does outside his usual small corner.

The closest I can think of is MARVEL KNIGHTS, which had some super powered characters, though it was mostly street level. Most people seemed to hate MK, but I loved it. Plus, Eduardo Barretao's art was beautiful.

I don't think that I last more than 3~4 issues on MARVEL KNIGHTS. Remember being very disappointed with it at the time.
