This is for a damn good cause, IMO.

Some real nice artwork up for auction, too! ;) I so want the one by Stephane Roux!

Let see....

Wonder Woman, Gail Simone, and it's in Portland. Well the 28th is a bit short notice, but I'll see if I can attend this thing.

This is so Awesome! This is why it deserves a capital A! I am thinking of volunteering for WEAVE. Women who endure these things are Olympians in their own right. They and those who help them are worthy of panegyrics, as well as Saint hood!

I wonder if they'll be giving away copies of WW #5 at the door? Not that I need one, sense I already have it.

There are probably two dozen sketches that I want. That is a really cool range of talent on display.
I guess the pictures that don't have 'NEW JERSEY AUCTION' underneath are at the Oregon location?

I willing to bet they'll have more artwork at silent auction then whats shown here.

In any case, those sketches are just awesome, especially the ones by Rodney Buchemi, Elvis Moura, and of course Adam Hughes, I didn't see any of Terry Dodson's though, which is kind of a shame.

Just surfed over to Greyhounds website, I can get a roundtrip bus ticket there and back for around $50. Now all I need is a place to stay. So I just fired off a email last night to a Cousin who lives down there about the event.

Hasn't replied back yet, though.

I'd like to go to the NJ one but it'll depend on how we feel from the Halloween party the night before.

I just did a quick search and found this place:
http://www.bluebirdguesthouse.com/

No idea what it's like, but it seems like that have rooms for under $50. And they're about a mile away from Excalibur Comics.

Hmmm I may be there for a least two days, which means about $100. I'll also have to find a way to get back and fourth from there to the Greyhound bus depo. So I'll consider it If I don't have any other alternatives.

UPDATE: No vacany on those nights. :(

But thanks for the effort Kevin.

This just in, gotta email back from my cousin, he said he'd like to go to this thing too. He also said it would be cool to crash at his place. This is going to be great! It's a day of Wonder Woman and chatting with other Wonder Woman fans, a chance to meet Gail face to face for the first time, and all for a good cause. Best of all I've finally got an excuse to visit a cousin I haven't gotten a chance to see in nearly 10 years. I'm pretty damned excited! :D

The only thing thats gonna stop me from going to this thing is If I get a job and they want me to work that weekend. As it happens I may have an interview coming up this Tuesday. Wish me luck, cause I could use it. :)

Had my interview yesterday, if they do hire me, they won't need me until next week. So I just made all my arangements, I'll be there the 28th, I'll see if I can borrow a camera so I can take some pictures and post them here.
