Here's the question what is your favorite Spider-Man costume OTHER THEN the 1st one. It can be from the main MU, 2099, What If doesn't matter.
For my favorite it's a tie between the black costume and Spider-Man 2099. For the rest of the list it's Spider-Ben, and the one from the Spider-Man Unlimited cartoon.

Blasphemous though it may be, I do love the Iron Spider costume when it's drawn right- IE: By Garney or McNiven.

Ben Reilly version is my favorite version of the costume! I voted Scarlet Spider, and black, but I have to say that symbiote spidey was the best! If you count it as alternative spidey, I also liked Kaine's costume. And of course bag man!!!!!

maybe it was the Charles Vess covers, i dunno....
I was a kid when the change came, I had the Issue where the change occured.
It was sleek and creepy like a spider should be. It was also simpler to draw than 8 million little webs all over.
oh yeah and for me Vess IS the go to watercolor guy.
where's he been hiding?

I like the Black, Iron, Ben Reilly, and Scarlet Spider costume.
I don't understand why so many people hated the Iron spider look. Garney and McNiven made it look pretty cool IMO.

Black, Scarlet Spider and 2099. 2099 was really cool because it really set him apart from the other Spiderman costumes.

Damn...please don't make me choose between Black and 2099..
*sigh*
Alright, it's the black suit, nonthing else comes close for me, Spidey 2099 is a strong distant second.

I think I remember reading that was one of the reasons that they wanted to change to the black suit cause the artists were getting tired of drawing the webs.

I like Iron and 2099, but the answer has to be the black costume. Its almost as iconic as the red and blue.

Actually I can't imagine any Spidey costume that I don't like. There are just costumes that I don't like that much.

Because it was different, and the initial character designs weren't the greatest.
I wonder who else we can think of lately like that?

It was a nice costume, especially when it was designed by Crain, Medina or McNeeven. But I think it wasn't Spider-Man, because it canceled Spider-Man powers: What do you want the night vision, when your suit has night vision, thermal vision, etc. for example?

I like the black suit even more than the original . When I started reading comics it was the one he was using so it is special to me. I also like the Ben Reilly suit and the Scarlet Spider suit.:p

Spider-Man, for the most part, has a pretty decent sense of fashion. The black costume was excellent, as was the modern Electro-Proof suit in ASM #425. Then there were Ben Reilly's Scarlet Spider and Spider-Man costumes, which were pretty sweet, too. In terms of design, I'd have to say Iron Spider was the best, but the colors only look good with a metallic sheen; better colors would have been black and red. That would have made Spider-Man look pretty bloody fierce to any bad guy that wanted to cause trouble.

Here's one that hasn't been talked about that I like. Spider-Man's Ricochet costume from the Identity Crisis storyline. I didn't really care for the other costumes that he was wearing.

The only thing that comes close is the Dusk uniform, which was all black. But His daughter, May Parker, did wear this ski mask and black ops outfit in her new run, in the first issue. I don't have a scanner, so sorry about no images

Scarlet Spider.
When I was six years old it was the newest costume and the coolest thing I had ever seen. Since then I have always wanted a Spider hoodie... brb, making a Spider hoodie.

Does Amalgam's Spider-boy costume count? That was pretty neat, same for the Spider-boy 2099 look.
