Camera Help?

Hey all.

Anyone into Cameras/photography here?
I'm looking for a cam, and I was wondering if anyone could recommend one?

I have a beautiful Cannon SLR. It takes awesome photos. But I want a compact cam, to take out and such as I don't want to lug my SLR about if I'm just going for a walk with the dogs etc.

Anyone recommend a make?

I'm not bothered with all fancy functions, I'd like a Cam with a decent zoom though. And what IS important to me is photo quality. So, I'd need at least 7 or 8 MP.

I have a Canon PowerShot S3IS with a 12x optical zoom that is smarter than I am. It has enough zoom to get me into some pretty great images. It doesn't have quite as high a resolution as what you are looking for but the newer model probably does (S5 or S6).
