It fits well with who he is; a regular guy doing the best with what he has.

"Whuparse style with jokes"

Peter's got alot of heart, and that goes along way. It's the main reason why he wins so many fights that you would think he has no chance.

It's fine just the way it is. Don't change a thing.

Yeah, I agree as well. It kind of makes him unique, you know. I mean nearly every other Marvel Hero has had combat training at some point.

Luke Cage is probably the only other one with free style attacks...

No. Spider-Man's fighting style is fine the way it is. It's just that his supposed lack of fighting skills is a poor but popular excuse among writers (and many others) to why should Spider-Man lose a fight when he goes up against non-superpowered opponent.

It would be interesting to see "What if Peter Parker was a martial artist before he got bitten by a radioactive spider" or something like that.

I like his style. Not only more realistic, but also cooler to watch in movies and comics and it makes Spidey more distinct.

I'm happy with Spidey's fighting style the way it is.

Spidey already has his own distinctive fighting style.
It just evolved after years of being a superhero, and is defined by his spider-powers,- primarily his amazing equilibrium.

He bounces off walls drop kicking oppenents, somersaults backwards punching two guys at the same time, etc. He's basically a street fighter, but that's been taken to a completley new level by incorporating his amazing hand to eye co ordination, agility, and of course- the webs.

He already has a fighting style but learning some new techniques could only improve his style. Captain America told him as much when he joined the Avengers. Spider-Man learning a martial art would only make him more formidable in HTH combat. That is a powerup I wouldn't mind seeing him get.

Well for the comic I guess leave it as is. But truthfully I would want to know everything there is to know if I had spideys powers. He'd probably be the best hand to hand fighter there is. With his agiility and his spider sense he would be great at jujitsu! Yawara!

I think that I am a little sceptical as to exactly what could be added. His speed and power set kind of require more creativity.
...On the other hand, knowing things like blocking, grappling, and pressure points seems like a very natural thing for a person to look into. Like, if I were Spider-man, and kept fighting people like the rhino, I would like to know where iI could hit him to put him down quickly.

I want to take a class in Spidey fighting.

There was an issue of FNSM where Cap was giving him lesson.

I really don't think the martial arts would benefit spiderman very much, he's too fast and agile to really adhere to any style. His aerial kicks are somewhat reminiscent of the more showy styles of Changquan Wushu, but I would really hesitate to change anything he does. Spiderman's improvised fighting style is a part of his character, changing it would be like taking away his webslinging. At most, training would help with his defenses, being able to judge and use opponents styles against them... but he's already got his spider sense, and if that doesn't help him out I don't know how increasing his style knowledge would do any better.

I always thought he DID have a fighting style. He alwasy seems to use his agility and powers to their fullest in a fight.
