You know, I guess I count as a pro to some degree (that's what it says on my badge at cons, and I am a member of a group called comicsPro), and I never ever hype anything here.

From time to time, i'll post a picture or something, but that's just sharing with friends, and not saying "HEY HEY LOOK AT THIS SPEND MONEY BLAH BLAHBLAH" or whatever.I was thinking I might start a "HEY HEY LOOK AT THIS SPEND MONEY BLAH BLAHBLAH" thread to sell my art.

I just have to talk to them. They weep at your beauty?

Let's discuss him once you've read something by him. He's quite the centre of controversy in the Indian literary establishment: lot's of argument over him and it gets quite bitchy in that high falutin' critical way.

You know what you should do? Sell it to one person for a whole lot of money and let them deal with giving it away. That way you get paid, and people get your art! It's a win win!

The next part of my plan has to do with the one person who bought the art and is giving it away. You thought the plan was complete, didn't you?

No, that guy would probably want to be repaid for the trouble of giving away that artwork. He should, like, charge a fee to the people he gives it to. Just enough to cover the costs, of course.

But just think of it. A fee for a copy of the artwork. The plan's so brilliant, I don't know why no one's done it before!

I am so glad I stay away from YABS.

It's funny how much you guys worry about us and talk about us in your scornful tone, however. I mean, it's endless. It's also a bit hilarious the protestations of how gauche and unimportant we are, with the nattering old lady gossip going on in here about us so regularly. It's completely a one-way street, that's the amusing part. Even when talking in manly manly code.

But don't let me interrupt the tut-tutting of bold internet mavericks!

Seriously, why do you guys give a fuck? All the drama you guys keep decrying is coming 100% from your direction. Is that really how you want your board to be thought of, as the gossipy little tea party of CBR?

I honestly think you guys have lost your objectivity, and might not actually be able to see how silly all this looks. I've apologized to everyone I've offended (I admit, with one small exception) for previous jackass behavior, and invited those who so wish to come back with open arms and wished those who did not my best wishes. Since then, hell, since long before then, no one at Yabs has had a bad word to say, or even an indifferent word, about this forum. ALL the drama is coming from you guys, mostly from former Yabsers who have some beef or other.

Doesn't it all sound a LITTLE ridiculous?

Whatever, the offer still stands, I have no grudge against anyone here (with one unresolved exception, I admit it), and if someone is pissed at me directly, I'd appreciate being PMed or emailed at gailcbr@yahoo.com. I have no grief with the Comm board, have a lot of current and former friends here, and really, I don't see what the stone-throwing is about. But I'd sure rather just be honest about it than the coded nonsense that goes on here.

Thanks.

I'm in Australia by the way, I hope if anyone here is going to the Armageddon Expo, that they'll at least drop by and say hello. It's always nice to put a face to the poster.

Best wishes,

Gail

Aw, shit, on second thought, never mind. Nothing good ever comes of paying attention to this shit. Pretty soon someone else's fight becomes your own and you're in the middle of some nonsense that isn't worth the ink to type about.

You're all welcome back to Yabs if you ever want to go for any reason, no matter the history, and as I've said, if I've been a jerk to you, I apologize. I'm sure you guys realize it's not fun to see people you consider friends get toasted under the best of circumstances.

Anyway, I'm off to the con. If you've got a beef, let me know.

Sorry, sorta reacted to a bunch of posts here with this past response, all without really thinking. No one's mistake but mine, don't take it out on the rest of the Yabsers, please.

G'day and all that!

What is that from, Paul?

Gail

That's from the episode of South Park where they say the word "shit" a few hundred times. Mr Garrison, who's finally out of the closet, starts using the word "fag" with the rationalization that, hey, he's gay, he can say it.

The little ditty quoted above is something Garrison sings throughout the episode.

And Matt here just came out of the closet yesterday and is singing it at the top of his lungs.

Matt Algren
10-12-2007, 05:29 PM
It's funny how much you guys worry about us and talk about us in your scornful tone, however. (etc, cut for space)

I have to say, I disagree in this case. You quoted one post that absolutely nobody replied to. And Mac Danny was doing that all friking morning about several threads, at least one of which was over here. I pointed Typo to the Ann Coulter thread because of Mac's quite reasoned and correct post, but that's about it.

The subject of that one thread did come up later, but mixed in with talk about other threads that are getting ready to boil over. We do that from time to time. (And yes, we do it like a bunch of old ladies talking on a party line while we darn our socks. It's part of our charm.) And then later the suggestion was made (and seconded, and thirded) that people not do that. Since then, it's been fairly quiet.

I think the wounds are healing over. They're just at the itchy scab part right now, when you can't help but scratch it every once in a while.

Also, the shitty shitty fag fag song is from South Park. One of the best episodes ever. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/It_Hits_the_Fan) You can probably see it at stansdad.com. I'm not sure how legal that is, though.

I would like to point out that I'm the part of the Paul split personality that isn't married to Rita and doesn't wear a hat.

I'm also the only "out" Paul.I would like to point out that it was YOU who got hit over the head by a bottle! Um..sorry about that. Maybe you should get a hat?

Stephen or Stefan are of course unacceptable. Far too confusing.
