Oh crap, I didn't know you were with him, I had dinner with him, Marty, and Francis the other night.

Oh hell that's not a name drop, Anyone can talk to Steve Guttenberg! That guy would show up to the opening of a letter if you asked him.
My only story is that he apparently came upon some tough economic times a few years back. That hat was passed around at CBR for him.
I just reviewed my Paypal records from 2004 and apparently I sent $100 (I must have been feeling rich back then or really desperate for a COTM) vote.
I normally don't do things for 'thank yous', but there is a bare minimum that is expected when strangers reach out to help you.
He did not come close to meeting that minimum.
I believe in fact there was continued whining about not getting enough...as well as not being very gracious.

As I recall (and better gossips than me are free to correct my errors), it went something like this:
1. CBR provides Bright-Raven with some monetary aid during a rough patch.
2. Some time after, Bright-Raven makes noises about the aid having been insufficient to his liking.
3. Much later, CBR provides Tom with some monetary aid during one of his rough patches.
4. Bright-Raven responds to this with rants comprised of "Fuck you people, why aren't you giving ME money?"
5. CBR begins to ignore everything Bright-Raven says and does.
Sounds Sussicnt and accurate. I would much rather give Tom money than Bright Raven. If I want to pay that much for a tool I'll go to Home Depot.

My friend once made Steve Guttenberg a major deity in a D&D campaign.
Kevin Costner (or Cos-Nar as he called) was the church's main enemy.
I am not making this up.

The sad thing is, I think I may have missed the Tom episode (I don't recall it at all - perhaps I was on a break from CBR).
I'd rather give $1,000,000 to Tom than another dime to LBR.

To be a REAL GAMER in role playing you have to only care about the game and not the platform you play it on. You have to be able to play it on a table or in a stable. In a house or with a mouse. On a foot locker or with Betty Crocker.

LBR: I assisted in some tribal investigations regarding criminal activities occuring on the Indian lands and the University. I'd rather not discuss the specifics of the cases. A cousin of mine also married into a somewhat prominent family in the tribe, so that factored into it as well, I'm sure.

Hey, you don't believe that he solved some kind of mystery involving the local Native American community and they honored him with a tribal name?
You probably believe he put his name into a "tribal name generator" online and it spat out that classic?
He personally SAVED a tribe from the local amusement park owner who wahted to scare them off the land so he could build a new ride. He would have done it too if it were not for that Meddling Bright Raven!

Oh hell that's not a name drop, Anyone can talk to Steve Guttenberg! That guy would show up to the opening of a letter if you asked him.
Why ? He was a soldier and fought in a World War. Where we know he killed people. Bucky's a more edgier type person , doesn't have Steve's super soldier formula and needs an edge. The gun is it I suppose.
Two guns. He has TWO guns. That's what that thing is on his other hip, not a knife or sword. It's just crappily drawn.

Clunky. It also seems poorly designed in that in style it doesn't know whether it wants to state itself as a sleek cutting-edge gaming machine or industrial workstation. The "Grill" is totally wrong for it. I think the stand is shaped oddly drawing attention to the boxiness as opposed to away from it. The rounded corners are a nice touch, but a little dated.
Edit: The Thermo stats are the most interesting piece of it, in my mind.
I find it odd they'd buy VoodooPC and not take the Aesthetics from them.
