In the past, the Russian businessman, Conklin, and Abbot conspired to use Bourne to kill the Russian Politician so the businessman could get rich off of Russian oil . In the present, Pamela Landy is getting close to solving this old mystery so Abbot and the businessman use an assassin to frame Bourne for killing the source and then to kill Bourne so the CIA will stop investigating. Of course, they fail at killing Bourne and piss him off which causes the whole thing to unravel.

I'm sorry.... Hank Jr made his own way and he's not for everyone. Hell he even said it best "If you don't like Hank Williams and Bocephus you can plan KISS OUR ASSES."

I respect that Hank III made his own way and doing his own thing. I don't listen to him a lot since he tried copying his grandfather as a country music performer (never works) and instead of being his own man like a Shooter Jennings , it never clicked. Great that he's a hard rock/metal guy now.

I did always like the scene at the end of "Living Proof" where Williams who had struggled in his dads shadow ...managed to find his own way. He had found his way to be his own man . The whole song at the end as the balloons dropped was nice.

That was Gingold . No one could touch what Hank Sr. did. The man iconic by the time his son emerged. His mother wanted to recreate that image of Hank Sr and it never clicked.

Yes Hank Jr's a basic redneck choice and if you visit WV you'd odds are hear 90% of the men listening to him in pickup trucks. But I can't dismiss that Hank Jr. does have some great songs. I do like "Eleven Roses" and "Standing in the Shadows" which really showed the problems Jr. had .

I'm sure with the weight of the legacy Hank III has on his shoulders I wouldn't wish that on any man. Its gotta suck , your grand dad is considered the greatest country music singer ever , and your father had a pretty solid career and continues to attract young artists to sing with him.

Which is awesome since I heard he's finally doing his own thing with rock bands ect ect. But theres a weight...if your grand dad and father became huge muscians and you follow in their foot steps , people will always go "So what have you done ?"

Jakob Dylan ? Remember the joke Colin Quinn used to tell on SNL : "Imagine your Bob Dylan and you yell to your son , turn that crap down. And your son goes , Dad you don't understand the music ! Yeah , yeah I understand the music son , I'm Bob F'n Dylan. Your not..."

My mom has the 3 Hanks duet album and she liked his voice since it did remind her some of Hank Sr.. Of course she didn't think it was a nice idea he should dress up like Hank Sr. for the album.

When I heard he was in rock bands doing music I thought... well that works. Hank Jr. did his own thing and it worked. So it should work for his son in turn.

Yeah its not an easy thing.

I was watching Rod Stewart's son discuss the pressure he was under as he was working on a solo album. Because he was Rod Stewart's son , and your dad is this huge presence and sang some classic tunes and your really not wanting to fail ect ect.

Well, I'm on test 16 of 19, so I should be close, right?

I was promised cake.

All science should involve cake.

19 is the last stage, but it's loooooooooooooooong.

It's also fucking hilarious. I'd advise you to turn on subtitles so you don't miss a word of what GLaDOS says.

You'd never seen Poltergeist? Wow.

Ignore the sequels, by the way. The only thing about them that's worth anything is an absolutely hilarious plothole in part III.

I don't see how there could be a sequel. the entire neighborhood blew the fug up.

Oh come on, the attack by the braces in 2 is hilarious.

Not as hilarious as the fact that they just LEAVE A KID STRANDED IN HELL in part 3.

I played some videogame version of Scrabble once, and it had a feature for idiots like me where you could get a hint if you were stumped on words you could create. So I was stumped once, or just lazy, and I clicked for a hint.

Immediately, the game says: "I recommend : SUICIDE"

That is the coolest thing ever.

All of my posts are about two pages behind. Oh well.

Agent Helix

Yes they do! They also make no damn sense.

You know part 3 is super bad because they replace Craig T. Nelson with Tom Skerritt.

I tend to hate sequels to good horror movies.

Except Exorcist 3. That was nifty.

Do you guys have Zirtec/Zirtek over-the-counter there? It's probably the most effective antihistamine we have but unfortunately you can only get it with a prescription here and it's $80/bottle. I had my boss pick me up a bunch of the over-the-counter brand of Zirtek while she was in London. It's going to be a blessing for me next Spring.

The latest deleted myspace thread was some guy posting four pictures of girls from myspace and asking which one everybody would 'do'. The girls are all near 18, IIRC a little under. He goes on to say that they are all his friends, that he's 'done' one of them, and he's in his 20s. Squickiness ensues. Toku King does a parody thread that is funnier than the original.

Did I get that all right? I'm a little fuzzy this morning.

Ewwww. I now feel squicky for having posted in that thread.

What I like about Galaxy Quest is that, for all the jokes it makes at the franchise's expense, it really does capture the sense of fun and wonder that made Star Trek appealing in the first place. It does so in a way that the people in charge of the franchise have seemingly completely forgotten.

Granted, this is coming from a guy that couldn't care less about Trek outside of the movies.

Some new guy came on with McDuffie. I don't recall his name, but boy is he not quite ready for prime time.

I really don't think prequels are the way forward for the franchise. I'd like to see what they did for Next Gen: skip a hundred years or so into the future, have several of the previously hostile races incororated into the Federation, and have them explore some new uncharted territories(I'd love to see a planet-sized ship that travels between realities).
