I would like to thank all to those that voted for me.
Ok, a couple of ground rules:

1. No suggestions from the peanut gallery
2. Covers must be from comics, comic magazines and not trades
3. Have fun with it.

I don't know if this has been done or not, but this week's theme is:
FRUIT

I look forward to seeing what you have put up!

Nice theme.

I've never heard of Banana Sunday before, but I want to read it now. (http://www.onipress.com/display.php?type=bk&id=34)

2. Covers must be from comics, comic magazines and not trades

That's a new rule - I think we've always allowed trades before. It doesn't usually come up, since so few have original art, but every now and then there's a good one. (Like Bolland's Doom Patrol tpb covers)

Bwahahahaaha...and I was thinking of using the "Challengers of the Unknown" in their yellow period costumes. HAHA!

Ha, I was going to go with his coming-out issue but decided it was in poor taste.

Also in poor taste: Peter Porker, the Spectacular Spider-Ham #6. Both the eggplant and tomato are actually fruit, so this works.

Well, the other two featured characters are "Sooper Hippie" and "Captain Flower," so I'm gonna go with "drugs."

I was seriously close to choosing that one, but was afraid of a reprimand from a certain someone! about highlighting this cover as a source of humour, after the same territory had been covered in a certain column!

I don't know. I'm tripping balls on acid and I don't know if a fat green grocer making really bad puns about fruit wouldn't push me into a Manson-Tate kind of situation. But that's just me.

Not intended to be my actual entry, as it's a photo-comic and not an actual comic, but then I figured it might interest some for its oddbal (®, © or whatever) factor.

(I mean, if we're counting pumpkin as a fruit, then why not artificial fruit flavouring?)

I was looking for a Kool aid Man comic! the Grand Comic Database doesn't have one.

Though they do have a comic about Florida's greatest export that isn't Cubans, just no cover.

Maybe it's just me, but "Where will we find an oven big enough?" seems really sinister.

I suspect Strawberry Shortcake is secretly one of those aliens from "To Serve Man."
