No. And he's not a Summers. Vulcan claimed that place.
Personally I found him tedious and irritating. As with most things labelled "X-Treme!!!!" And would have even prefered Gambit to have been revealed as the third Summers offspring. And I was far from keen on that idea.

I think Nicieza tried way too hard to make Adam X cool. It didn't work at all.

Summers aren't 'cool' (except Corsair). That's what makes them cool.
This is why Adam X sucked. Plus everything else about him.

I liked X-Treme. Fabe's able to redeem any 90s character and does well with those he's created himself.
My only question would be, what's the point of making Adam a Summer's brother? As much as I like the character, I think it onbly would have detracted from his character, not enhanced.

I liked Adam, and other than his apperance, which I think was so far out there it worked, I found nothing overly extreme about him.

I was really annoyed when Adam X came out...just never liked his look...which is probably why I never got attached to the character. On top of that I like the fact that all 3 Summers brothers have different hair colours. I know it's a very shallow and stupid reason but one brunette, one blonde and one jet black haired person just seems better then two blondes and a brunette head.
So on appearance Vulcan picks up points and X-treme loses...and then Adam loses more points because people associate him with the word X-treme...and I've come to hate that word.

He was so KEWL with his manly-men & his menly women! His HAIR DRYER GUNS were even more ecstatic! Liefeld's BOOBS had their own personalities! Rad-AID. Yumm-O! :rolleyes:

Heh...Don't forget the blades...must remember that things really go out of fashion real quickly unless its something like Sinisters or Exodus' Cloak. I wonder how long that look was considered cool. Also just noticed that I made Scott a red head in my previous post...will go change that. :p

I do..technically, he's not a Summers. as the supposed son of D'Ken Neramani and Katherine Summers, he'd be a Neramani. of course, now that Vulcan exists, there's no way Katherine could have given birth to Adam as she was pregnant with Vulcan when she died. Adam is now the son of D'Ken and a random human woman.

I guess he could be a test tube baby rather than a regular one; created in a lab by combining D'Ken's and Katherine's DNA. Actually that makes a bit more sense than raping Corsair's wife, uncertain if she would get pregnant, then waiting 9 month's for her to give birth.
I remember also writing a fan fiction years ago where it was revealled Astra was Adam's mum and not Katherine Summers.

Maybe since he's half human and half Shi'ar, Adam X should turn into a bird-girl warrior who turns to gold. That seems to be the normal result of such a pairing.

I had the Adam X action figure when I was little. I didn't even know who he was because I wasn't reading the comics as much as I watched the cartoon. His toy was cool--his spiky parts where hurty, though.
