since our pal tad here has NO CLUE when TPC is gonna get greenlit, i say we oughta make a pedition for all of us, including Tad, to sign. This petition should be for the movie to get greenlit so that i can release alongside the release of HB2: the golden army next year. who's with me? *quotes the Warriors* CAAAAN UUUU DIG IT?!?!?!

Hell, I'll sign it. But these petitions are only so effective. Maybe some polite and sweetly-worded emails to Starz (and other related parties) would be the right move? And considering that HB2 is coming out in only 9 months, that might be a tight timeline for Tad. (I can't remember how long were previous animated productions.) Maybe aiming for the DVD release date for HB2 might be best for TPC.
I certainly appreciate the sentiment but there is only one kind of document that will have any effect on a production greenlight and that would be a sales summary showing a big interest in the DVDs. It's hard to turn renters into buyers.
Having said that, there is a short piece of Hellboy Animated goodness that you may see before the end of the year. Other than that, if HBII becomes a huge hit... well, you never know

We Know. I just like to pretend. That is the one thing that I have always hated about the US. Always trying to capitalize on products. Coming from a small country, we have always had that kind of a problem. What ever happend to just because it is a great film for those who enjoyed it.

that's fine. but STILL, whatever it is, tad, as much as i enjoy HB, and i REALLY DO, that won't be enough. HB2TGA is out in JULY 08, with a DVD release in either Q4 08 or Q1 09, and that list of SOS and BAI DVD sales won't be coming anytime soon! We (or at least some of us) want TPC BY AT LEAST HB2'S DVD release cause U PROMISED US A THIRD HB ANIMATED MOVIE AS LONG AS THINGS GO WELL WITH SOS AND BAI, AND SO FAR WE'VE HEARD SHIT ABOUT THIS GETTING GREENLIT!
You say you'd really want TPC get the go-ahead, yet i don't see u working on ANYTHING ELSE lately except some CONAN dvd that PROBABLY WON'T GET RELEASED! Personally, i enjoy ur work on HBA BETTER THAN THE SHITTY STUFF U DID AT DISNEY (ATLANTIS ANYONE?!). U should do something else while we wait 4 the news, but in the meantime we'd REALLY APPRICIATE U HELPING US MAKE THE PETITION FOR TPC TO GET THE GO-AHEAD AND POSSIBLEY SIGNING IT. is THAT too much 2 ask for? Bottom line: u and mike gave us a great series of DVDS that has the potential to become a sister-franchies to the Hellboy movies and comics. Now it's OUR turn 2 repay the favor and at least try and get TPC to SOME EXTENT of a go-ahead. So this is the last time i'm asking this: R U IN OR R U OUT?

Wow what is going on with all of you lately? Not that I want to speak for Tad but I am sure he is happy to find that all of you are as enthusiastic about this project as you are but it's beyond his control if this gets greenlit or not. If you want to do a petition be my guest but stop the harrassment!

Really 101...a petition is likely to get you nowhere. The only petition that worked that I know of was the one where fans bombarded a studio with peanuts (Jerrico was it?)
Tad has no control over whether this movie gets made or not. He could dance around the studio in a LJ costume but if the big wigs don't want it, then they don't want it. Unfortunately sales speak louder then fans voices. Hopefully after Golden Army wrecks the box office we'll get Phantom Claw.
You're getting a little scary.
ps- I liked the "shitty" Disney stuff :(

I would like to apologize to Tad and everyone else caught up in this issue. I had no intentions on instigating any kind of greif. Clearly I feel responsible. My intentions were only to ease tentions with this issue, but things back fired. I am sincerly sorry.

Hellboy Animated 101's behaviour is not your responsibility, isburg. You have no reason to feel bad for anything you have added to the thread.
Hellboy Animated 101, when you posted about coming to this forum (http://forums.comicbookresources.com/showthread.php?t=189271) as your refuge from the treatment you endured at Superherohype you claimed "i'm a nice guy, not some rude, annoying jackass who pisses people off". So what kind of person wrote your post? It certainly does not seem like a "nice guy" to me.
The future of the Hellboy Animated movies is out of Tad's hands and far beyond the influence of an internet petition. If it gets greenlit, I know Tad will do great things with it. If it does not, I know that Tad has not been idle in the meantime and that there will be other great things he will create. (No pressure, Tad ;) ).

HellboyAnimated101, that was really uncalled for. Tad has been nothing but generous with his information and comments here, and I hope I speak for everyone here to give a big "Thank You" to him for all his hard work.
I happened to enjoy Atlantis quite a bit, thankyouverymuch. It was nice to see Disney taking a chance on an action movie without musicals for a change (same with Treasure Planet). I guess some people's taste is all in their tongue.
