I was just wondering if anything new has popped up concerning the series, I know it was suppose to come out Summer of this year, but obviously that hasn't come to be. I did some googling but all I came up with old articles. So, anybody know anything offical on the series

I think DC was asked about this at one of the conventions this last summer. IIRC, I think it's on indefinite hold. (But I may be mis-remembering.)
I thought they were waiting to have one complete arc in the can before soliciting. . . as the artist is not known for being super fast.

Oh, well, I can't say I'm surprised, I mean last I read it the same guy doing basically everything in the book.
Oh well, hopefully it'll see light of day sooner than later

I would hope they would wait to have enough issues after the embarassments of AS Batman and AS Superman.

I hope it does eventually come out. AH! is my favorite Wondy artist, he actually manages to make her look greek, not to mention giving her a body that seems less playboy pinup and more amazon warrior, broad shoulders, muscule definition, but still sexy. This is still the the title I'm most anticipating as far as future releases go...

Yeah, from what I've seen his art is great and perfect for WW, IMO. I just hope he brings back the classic bondage subtext of the original series

Don't count on it. Though AH! is big on sexuality in his comics he's always been a pretty big female empowerment type to. I doubt he'd bring back the horrendous depowering factoid of the bondage phase... Atleast I certainly hope not, it would kill all my hope for the series.

Iīm pretty sure there must be ways to explore WWīs sexuality without falling into the depowering/subjugation trap.
I never liked the bondage innuendo in Moultonīs work (not really my thing) but I have to say i liked the fact that at least he put sexuality in the table.
Modern WW is probably my favorite DC cape but sometimes I canīt help giggle at the idea of her being a virgin. When are we, victorian England?

Yeah, I was only joking

The way I see it, with AH behind it as the driving force this comics got some really good chances.
Just as long as Wondy doesn't refer to some poor civilian as a Sperm Bank...

I'm a big fan of Adam's stuff but as far as an ALL STAR WONDER WOMAN from him actually being completed, I'll believe it when I see it. Almost every couple of years there's an annouced AH! project that's annouced and never sees the light of day. This isn't even the first time talked about an AH! WW project. A few years ago it was said that he was working with Loeb on a WW series.
I don't understand what's up with Adam but every interview I've read with he always says he'd like to do a comic and says he gets offers but yet we rarely ever see him do anything other than covers. I've never understood what's keeping him from doing a book.

Well, I don't know about his other projects, but for this one(last I heard anyway) he was doing the writing, art and penciling, so I can see were this may end up taking quite awhile for a full story arc to get finished and on shelves.
Honestly, though, I hope ASWW doesn't end up like his other projects, I'd like to at least see the series and see how it goes
The last I heard AH! was on the third (out of six) issue. In an interview he said he will pick & choose the best elements from her long history. If you notice there has been very few AH! covers recently as he focuses on ASWW. And it won't be solicited until issue # 6 is the DC offices. I'm guessing summer 2008.

Oh, well, that is at least reassuring that it's going to happen, still seems like a long ways off. Here's to hoping it's worth it

Given the lateness problems that have all but ruined most of DC's major relaunches this year, I have nothing but the utmost respect for Adam Hughes refusing to let DC
solicit anything until he's finished. He didn't even want the book announced until he had three issues in the can.
There's nothing wrong with being a slow writer or artists, as long as you're up-front about it so that the readers aren't left hanging 6 months to year between issues. Wait until you've got six issues in the can, then solicit the issues.

I totally agree. I hope All-Star Wondy turns out great. I think it will--AH! obviously loves the characters involved, even Etta Candy! Woo-woo!

I'm also excited about this book just because of Hugh's WW art, that's enough for me right there.

I just hope Hughes drops the "saggy boots" he loves to draw Diana in.

I'd be pleased to see them gone too, but I don't expect it. I jsut hope he goes withthe new W belt.. that whole huge-ass golden girtle thing is tired, old, and completely foolish for a CQC fighter to be wearing, to much inhibitation to movement.

I hardly think the new better-suicide-through-sitting belt is an improvement. Perhaps something with rounded top and bottom would be more practical.

Iīm glad to see Iīm not the only one who noticed the problem with WWīs belts. :)
Itīs one thing to draw that thing, but wear it?
Although, in all fairness, I believe thereīs an argument that the girdle is actually made of a very flexible almost microscopic chain mail.
