Let's play a new game. Let's name all of the influences on a given artist's style.
Let's start with JLA #13 and Joe Benitez.
I'm seeing Todd McFarlane, John Cleary, and J Scott Campbell to start. Who am I missing?
The more I look at it, the more I see AMAZING SPIDER-MAN era McFarlane and that's all, actually. Hmmm...

That's interesting. I'll have to take a look at the book that next time that I am in my LCS.
Is this the same Joe Benitez that was one of the first Top Cow guys to get hyped up? What was that book that they had him on? WEAPON ZERO or something like that? I think that it was written by Walter Simonson.

I like the idea of this game. Unfortunately I don't know Joe Benitez and won't see that issue of JLA until it comes out in TPB

But for what it's worth I see more Art Adams with a bit of Perez.

Actually, the cover was by Ian Churchill. I think that there were some preview pages to #13 online somewhere. I'll have to search for them once I get to work! :D

Well those are definitely Todd McFarlane's chins there. That's about all I got from those pics.
The cover immediately made me think of Art Adams

Looks more like a mid-90's Top Cow book. If anyone, I see Michael Turner.
