What's your opinion.
should gar logan stick with BEASTBOY OR CHANGELING
Of course he could go by another name.
But this poll is just going to use these 2 names as your choices
I obviously voted for changeling.. much cooler name and hes not on the teen titans any longer.

I vote Beast Boy! I just think the name suits him better...I don't dislike Changeling, its just that I like Beast Boy better.
I'm more used to beast boy but come on the guy is moving on in years and doesn't have a beast man to honor. Changeling is a better name for a guy his age.

Beast Boy for me. Changeling is too 80's and doesn't really reflect his animal power, it's something a pure shapeshifter would use.

Changeling is like ordering a "fusion cuisine medium-rare steak with salad and a cup of read wine" vs. "steak and wine, please"
You can yell Beast, beasty, Gar, beastboy or help! anytime. But you might bite or swallow your tongue saying Changeling while running from Deathstroke.
Beast Boy. It sounds more fun, which fits with Gar (at least the one I'm familiar with). Plus Changeling sounds more like a villain.

Manimal. I bet the rights to that can be had pretty cheaply.

Gar is too old to be called Boy anymore, and besides how many teenage boys have ever asked to be called Boy?
So I voted Changeling, even though I agree with all the criticism. It sounds too pretentious for Gar. Maybe he could call himself Gar the Beastmaster? Or Green Beast? Or maybe just Logan?

I like the name Changeling because it has more pizazz. Gar's too old to be called Beast 'Boy', it's a retarted name and besides, the name 'Beast Boy' is for the birds.
For Gar to be called Beast Boy again would be like saying, 'I'm an @$$hole. Yes, I was called Beast Boy when I was a little boy. Then my father's consultants at Dayton Industries spent millions of dollars to come up with a new name, people start calling me by my new name for 15 years but then, I decide to go back to having people call me by the name everyone used when I was a wee lil' tike.
Why not have him have suck on a pacifier, wear diapers with a dunce sign on his head and a kick me sign on his back 'cause he's a moron who can't decide what he should be called?
Ah well, the sign of more DC editorial incompetence:
Ever wonder why Gar went back to being called Beast Boy since Editor Eddie 'Brilliant' Berganza got hold of him 14 years ago? He's had the Titans under house arrest (HIS house) ever since.
'Let's go back to calling him what he was called when he was a loser character no one cared about, you know, 'before' he became a successful character in The New Teen Titans! -- that just smacks of genius!'

I agree, beast boy is a name he used over 30 years ago. the character has evolved since then. So what that GEOFF deaged him. He deaged Raven TOO yet shes still called raven ;)
changeling is such a much cooler name than beast boy.

I'm the first guy to give Geoff Johns his props. He is a master of the craft and I have nothing but respect for the excellent work he delivers.
But that doesn't mean people have to agree with every decision he's made or even like every story he's told. We can also do this without demeaning the great things he's accomplished.
I don't happen to like the name Beast Boy, kind of agreeing with Marv's logic from New Teen Titans #1, as timeless as the logic was way back then. In the first place, outside Legion of Superheroes, anytime someone calls any character 'boy or 'girl, automatically you create a barrier for both the writer and character.
Because when you affix --boy or --girl to the back of a name, you insure that the character can never grow beyond the age bracket and still keep the name without sounding ridiculous... again, unless you're in the Legion of Superheroes or Supergirl and those are the exceptions.
Although in the case of Supergirl, the same editor that pioneered Gar back to Beast Boy was also the editor largely responsible for all the many different Supergirls running around a few years ago. He was also the editor who held Troia in his stable when she began devolving into an incomprehensible mess... but I digress.
Beast Boy as a name may be cute to some but really, it's just plain silly.
There was no proper logic to change it back to begin with. It was already established by the character himself. He changed it because it was silly, er, for the birds. Changing it back doesn't reflect well on the the creator who championed the idea in the first place, and that would be from the mouth of the character itself.
Renaming Gar, Beast Boy, is degression. Not only is it a dumb name, silly even when they gave it to him way back then, but it's the reason he changed it to begin with. And the logic used to recall him Beast Boy could also be applied to now calling Superman, Superb*y; having Dick Grayson go back to being Robin... and the list goes on.

How about . . . Gleek? Jayna? Wonder Beast?
I kid, I kid.

definately Changeling
these 'kids' deserve cooler names than the geeky days of long ago. By the way, Red Arrow is NOT cool - he was much better as Arsenal.

for those who are just voting and not putting out that feedback.
you should because believe it or not sometimes DC does look at message boards and listens to its fans.

I like the name Beast Boy, but it is way too silly for a superhero.

I read some of the 1980 Teen Titan stories, they were some of the best DC ever did.A hidden gem indeed,i think the whole relapse to Beast Boy and Robin was due to the Teen Titans cartoon.A good and bad thing.

Uh, I going to have to go with Changeling on this one. It's just better for Gar. Even though it can be a mouthful when you're trying not to be shot in the kneecap by Deathstroke or stepped on by Trigon, it fits him. How old is Gar now. When the third Teen Titans series began he is supposed to be at least 21 or 22, 24 is pushing it. He does not need to be called Beast Boy anymore. I could understand during the New Teen Titans era but now, no. Why on earth would Geoff degrade him like that.
Though Beast Boy sounds nice but Changeling is more appropriate.
