Well we have the preview pages for the fifth issue of New Warriors and this time with letters. Good news is those of you complaining about to much decompression and not enough action get your wish as its action straight from the beginning. http://www.popcultureshock.com/new-warriors-5-preview/42691/
We also find out the name of Longstike in the preview now all you have to do is obsessivly search through the internet for black teenage mutant girls with brothers and you'll have learned her identity. ;) What I find odd is their is this major superhuman attck on New York and Tony Stark and Mrs Marvel are just sitting in his office watching it on tv. You know who these guys are right, the two people in charge of the Mighty Avengers the State mandated superhero team for ummm what are are they supposed to be in charge of again. I'm just saying neither of them seems to be making any effort at all to you know do their jobs. Mabye they both picked up some bad habits from The Sentry.

Let's hope so....{and I don't even care whether or not the Annual will be a #1 or #5 (There were Four NW Annual during their first run), just as long as there is one...!!:D }...

Just out of curiosity, has anyone suggested that Thrasher might be Chord? He hasn't been seen in a good long while, and I could almost buy him putting on the costume to pay his respects to his adopted son. Not to mention that forming a team is something that he's perfectly experienced at.

Not unless he lost a crapload of weight. Chord was a big guy. Thrasher, especially this new one, is pretty thin.

Chord? i'd rather it be Silhouette if we're going that route. i think it would be funny if it turned out to be Alex Wilder. he would know of the New Warriors and is pretty resourceful.

You heard it here first, Thrasher is...................
Bill Foster's Nephew.
NW WA!!! :D
I love this book.
I'm still thinking it's Bandit; who probably lost his powers, and is recruiting other depowered mutants.......there's another depowered mutant's identity revealed in the issue...

Other than Longstrike?
Perhaps More than just her first name, but her former code-named identity?

You know,... It's kind of annoying seeing Superheroes getting thrashed, and killed all the time.. especially lately. I mean, sure I get that this is suppose to be Sofia's big deciding moment, the thing that breaks the proverbial camels back and causes her to throw her cards in with the New Warriors, but im not supposed to see that. I'm not supposed to see this coming. The only thing I haven't seen coming is the fact that a team like the New Warriors, despite the high tech gizmos, despite all the training, despite all the talent in its leaders and co leaders they have lost a member and now some kid looks like he's getting blown up/away.
.. I'm actually disgusted at a main stream comic book, wow this is amazing. At least I got treated to more Medina art. ^_^ Thats always a plus for me.

Point being is that some of them had not mastered the use of their equipment, therefore were not ready to go into action.

yeah but if your starting off a new book and in the first major battle of the book your killing people off.. it kind of defeats the momentum to make them look like they are really worth continously reading about.
