i'm talking about the pranksters, goof balls, wise-crackers, etc. Which marvels are known for being fast with a joke or rarely serious?

those i can think of, off the top-of-my-head (in no particular order). feel free to add to or debate those on the list. also feel free to separate them by type of humor. ex. someone can be a prankster without being particularly light-hearted.

1. Spider-man/Peter Parker (one-liner)
2. Deadpool/Wade Wilson (goofball)
3. Multiple-Man/Jamie Madrox
4. Strong Guy/Guido Carosella (deadpan)
5. Mockingbird/Bobbi Morse-Barton (diss-master)
6. Slapstick/Steve Harmon (prankster/goofball)
7. She-Hulk/Jennifer Walters (one-liner)
8. Beast/Doctor Hank McCoy
9. Morph/Kevin Sydney (goofball)
10. Madcap
11. Loki (trickster)
12. Rictor/Julio Esteban Richter (smart@$$)
13. Human Torch/Johnny Storm (prankster)
14. Thing/Ben Grimm (whatever you'd call his sense of humor)
15. Fixer/Norbert Ebersol (smart@$$/prankster)
16. Hellcat/Patsy Walker (one-liner)
17. Impossible Man (prankster)
18. Nightcrawler/Kurt Wagner
19. Gambit/Remy Lebeau
20. Butterfly/Layla Miller
21. Iceman/Bobby Drake

What?! How could there be a humored-characters without Squirrel Girl or White Rabbit?!?!

If you're talking about characters with senses of humor, really all of the GLA would make it on...

Mr. Immortal and his pessimistic humor,
Flatman and his homolicious humor,
Big Bertha and her fat-joke humor,
Doorman and his sarcastic humor,
Squirrel Girl and her all-too-innocent humor.

Thus, GLA > Shortpack.

i'm not talking about characters who are jokes. i'm talking about characters who are genuinely funny. :p

Thus, the GLA! Doorman constantly cracks funny jokes, Flatman cracks some one-liners that usually end up being about something gay, and Mr. Immortal, while being an emo sack of poo (packaged as a sexy southern boi), has that dry, black comedy-esque humor to him.

I KNEW WHAT YOU MEANT, MONTY. But either way, GLA > Shortpack.

so, i take it you want to add the entire GLA to the list of master comedians? fine by me. i'm just looking for input. :)

Mockingbird on the list, but no Hawkeye? 99% of the reason they were so perfect for each other was the quick-witted verbal sparring.

Daredevil had traditionally been written in the quick-witted, fast with a one-liner vein, but no so much recently. (In fact, I'd have to say that Foggy has gotten all the one-liners in the past five years or so.)

My life would have been pretty empty without Howard the Duck's trademark sarcasm, at least when Gerber's writing.

Everett K Ross from Priest's Black Panther should head the supporting character's list for one-liners, sarcasm, situational goofiness and hysterionics. Oh, and the Devil's pants.

i was mostly sticking to the hero/villain set but Everett was unintentionally funny. i almost included Daredevil but he's lost his swashbuckler personality over the years. Howard the Duck counts. Clint does too. i just forgot about him.
