As of now Jericho is inhabiting matche's body. Just a thought I doubt its going to happen.
But, maybe joey uses match to fight superboy prime.
It's a long shot obviously.
thoughts?
I think Joey/Match is off to limbo right now. When they bring him back, I don't really know what I'd like to see DC do with him. A fight with S-Prime might be cool, but they'd probably bring back Kon-El for that.
By the way, there is no Superboy Prime. There never was. It was all a figment of your imagination. He was always Superman Prime. Really. Ask DC's lawyers.

I'd hope Joey's back in his own body by now. And Match is safely tucked away in Limbo with everyone else from the last volume of Superboy.

Match's body is a good place to hide from ending up in Judd Winick's book.

Me too, but look at how everyone in it turned out. Knockout's dead, Tina's... somewhere. Roxy might still be on the Metropolis SCU, but how would we know? And Dubbilex only just recently showed up again for one panel in Countdown. Match popped up once or twice (I think just twice) in Young Justice and was promptly forgotten for years.
DC's pretty good at ignoring a lot of their better Nineties series.

my bad thought youw ere trashing it. I should've known better. It does suck taht DC leaves a lot of good characters from the nineties in their limbo only to bring them out and kill them. Like son of v ulcan JUST came back, after YEARS of waiting on the titans doorstep

I don't think there's much to discuss. I'm almost positive he isn't in Match's body anymore, and even if he were, he isn't a character that's likely to get even a mediocre role, let along a savior role.

I just wish I knew why they would make such a big deal and bring Joey back, then ignore him for awhile... Then again, I probably need patience. I'm sure he'll be featured in upcoming issues.

Teen Titans always seem to get killed during DC's really big events. If Jericho plays a bigger role anytime soon, I predict that role will land him in a coffin during Final Crisis.

If you're talking about Tana, I think she's dead.
On the plus side, King Shark has had a lot of appearances.

Yeah, Tana, not Tina. Sorry. But yeah, King Shark has been a supporting character in the last couple years of Aquaman, but he's gonna' be disappearing soon, too.

I'm sure Jericho will just slip into limbo. I imagine he's a really hard character to write, in any battle you either have to think up some lame way in which to block Joey's power or knock him out, in which case he's just useless scenery. If you dont do this, he immediatly wins any fight via posession.

Good point. In that respect, I would put Jericho on a list of characters that are hard to write because of their powers:
Jericho
Monica Rambeau
Jakeem Thunder (Johnny Thunder was less problematic, because he was depicted as kind of foolish)
Vision
Notice how none of these characters get used much these days?

It's a shame that people can't write about those characters as characters and instead write about those characters as superpowers.

Jericho was kind of odd in the personality department. He was written as being an extremely sensitive artist and musician who had many female admirers but never got involved with any of them. This was odd, because both of his parents were violent ex-military types with no artistic inclination whatsoever. Maybe they were implying that Jericho was gay, but nobody ever followed through with that angle.
Monica Rambeau had the same generic hero personality as Captain America and Quasar. By the time she showed up, some comic writers had been doing a much better job of presenting characters with more nuanced personalities. Between her difficult powers and her bland personality, Monica has rarely been used by anybody since Roger Stern.
Jakeem Thunder has gotten some decent writing by Geoff Johns, but not so much in recent years. JSA has a huge cast, and he isn't even showing up in the current title, so the only way we're going to see any Jakeem anytime soon would be in JSA Classified, if somebody feels like writing him.
Vision was an interesting character 30 or 40 years ago, when it was edgy to explore the implications of artificial life. But writers were already running low on ideas about what to say with Vision when Star Trek: the Next Generation came along, with Data. After 7 seasons and a few movies with Data, the artificial intelligence idea feels pretty used up right now. The character still offers a cool visual (unlike Jericho, Monica or Jakeem), but otherwise Vision is too hard to write these days.

sure jericho might be a hard character to write, but isnt that what writers suppose to do.. WRITE?!?!!?!
Let them earn their pay ;)
and yes jericho could for the most part beat everyone.
But couldnt flash as well? Yet flash constantly gets his ass handed to him.

Its not quite the same though. Although I suppose not making eye contact is an easy thing to foil, if you DO stop him, what's Jericho going to do? Just kinda quietly hang out in the back. Which is lame.
Its made even harder due to him being mute. If he isnt using his powers, how else do you get him across in an action sequence? At least if Flash's speed is shut off, he has his witty r'epertoire.

Answer: Yes.
How?
Answer: Superboy Prime.
Jericho can be anyone he comes close to. Him in SBP would be gnarly.

jericho doesnt need to his powers in order to fight. hes been trained by one of the best.. His mother ADDIE. I remember in the new teen titans baxter series when they were fighting the hybrid and jericho was dodging blast left and right, yet flash tells him "i got this" or something to that effect and wally gets zapped.
theres more to jericho than just his powers. Theres his character with no pun intended.
Jericho has so much depth... But back to topic. I would love to see jericho shine and help take down SBP

See, that's part of the problem... there is too much depth to Jericho, so much depth that the character doesn't make any sense except maybe as a Mary Sue. He's handsome, he's nice, he's popular, he's an artist, he's a musician, he's a master of HTH combat, and he can dodge better than the Flash!!! Both of his parents are highly-trained career military personnel, but Jericho is exceptionally well-rounded, well-adjusted and so advanced in skill at everything he does. Oh, plus he has this cool superpower which he is totally skilled at using. His only flaw is his inability to speak. And all the ladies love him. So dreamy, and yet so fake.
I would be more accepting of Jericho if he displayed some army brat behavior issues, was either artistic or skilled in combat but not both, and maybe showed at least a hint of angst related to his mom stabbing his dad in the eye.

I'm sure we should see some ANGST if and when someone tells him that kory cremated his mother....
now that would be a story.
