So I got a new scanner and decided to test it out. I used an image from the back of one of my Darwyn Cooke Catwoman graphics as a test piece and thought I'd post it for those of you who'd never seen Mike's take on this character.

The scan is pretty horrific. I managed to scan it crooked and crop it funny but the basics are there.

The image is from Selina's Big Score. I read anything Cooke touches so that's my excuse for having a Catwoman book! :D

Stunning as always. She's got a very LoJo look to her in this...

Of course! I'm upset that he'll be leaving as of issue 12. It's one of the few books I look forward to monthly. However Sergio Aragones is taking over the writing so it could get interesting. Issue 13 though looks like it's going to be a collected stories issue:

Written by Gail Simone, Glen Gold and others; Art by Michael Golden, Eduardo Risso and others; Cover by Darwyn Cooke

Oh wow. Thanks for digging that up. Sometimes I think I prefer Mignola's black and whites. In fact I know I do.

Wow! Thanks for posting the black & white of that piece. I always get a kick outta seeing Mignola's work without the colors.

mike is one of the few artists that gets better without the color. don't get me wrong, his colorist is one of the best in the business!

but i love looking at the "naked" art one hundred times better.
