I gave a g4 ibook, and just the other day, the prong of the power sourse cord broke off inside the computer. I'm told I'll have to get it serviced, but the warrentee is waaaay expired, and I don't wanna be taken for a ride and milked for money I don't even have. Any advice on finding a good, trustworthy computer repair shop that won't bleed me dry?

Don't know where you live so can't make a recommendation. Hopefully, it's just a matter of physically removing the broken prong without having to replace anything on the iBook.

I would be looking for an Apple service center and would ask them upfront to provide an estimate.
