With so many Hellboy universe series coming out at the same time, the Hellmail reserves are once again running low. If you or your friends have been holding onto questions, comments, criticism, or correspondence to send us, now would be a perfect time!
Thank You!

I've been sending my missives to Scott directly, and as I see they are cotinuing to appear in various Hell-universe books, hopefully they aren't being misrouted?
To all you other folks out there, start writing in and you won't have to complain about seeing my letters so often! :p

I have a question. If two Hellboy universe books come out the same week (does that ever even happen?), do they have the same Hellmail?
My only reluctance about writing Hellmail is that I'm currently not reading BPRD in any capacity (I'll probably catch the bug later and go trade-crazy). Thus, I'd probably miss my own letters half the time, since I wouldn't be picking up the BPRDs.
Unless, maybe I could mention I'm only picking up the LoJo monthlies, and the editor would put my letters in those?
Hmm.

I just may do that. But I think it is cool to see our Hellboarders' letters. But It will be cooler to see my own!

Nope--each book has its own.

Thanks! That will help once I coalesce my ramblings into something worth reading or printing.
So, off to jot my praise and nitpicks.

But can we send macaroni art there? I've got some colored construction paper and Elmer's glue ready to go.

I'll have to send another Email of Praise and glory to Mr. Allie, begging him to put pressure on Mezco to make more Hellboy Figures, or ask him what possessed him to alter Johann in such a manner!

I should send in some of the great questions my mom asks me about Hellboy:
"So, what -- he's a boy, and he's from Hell?"
"Mignola? That's Italian! Is he married?"
"Who reads comic books besides little boys and you strange people?"
Signed,
-- My Mom

I'd like to write something, but it'd probably end up really incoherent and Lobster Johnson-related... T_T

I'd like to write something
Then by all means, do so! :D Letter writing is fun and informative. Meaning, I'm always learning from my mistakes and from other letter writers and fans who are much more eloquent, erudite, and on top of things than I am (see Maija and others). Humbly, I just take no issue with having my 'stuff' called out if I'm wrong, and I enjoy sharing my thoughts without fear.

Now, that's proper letter placement..ie, see the letters page of issue 5 of Darkness Calls. Sorry Stygian for the blatant name throwing..it's the only way i knew i could get published.
Also, just picked up $60 worth of Mignola goodness today and still no Baltimore...

I second. Name-dropping'll get you nowhere the rest of your letter won't.

Name-dropping'll get you nowhere
Besides, it's not like dropping my name will get you anywhere that dropping any other board members name won't. ;)
I just try to beconsistent about sending in my thoughts, regardless of whether they end up getting used or not. I like to ensure that the powers that be know what the average fan thinks of the material being published, whilst trying not be a garrulous or prolix writer. Sometimes I succeed and sometimes not. It's the trying though that counts.

*nod* The biggest reason that a lot of regulars'--i.e. Neil and Matt's--letters show up in letter columns is that they send a lot of 'em (the fact that they're generally pretty cogent also helps). If you're writing in every few issues, even if we don't print most of your letters, more will still make their way into books than if you were writing a letter a year, or none at all.
