Juan Doe did those really good covers for the 198 mini, which makes this book all the more tempting.

If you like his cover... the interior pages are going to rock your world. Serious. I'm getting a poster-sized print of his cover for my office. He did an amazing job on this book. Hope you all enjoy it.

Hey Tom!

Good as the art looks here, I would love to see you do a Marvel or DC book where you do both art and writing, like Peter Bagge's Megalomanical Spider-Man or Jim Mahfood's Generation X Underground Special.

I guess I'd like to, in some degree... however, I really am loving the writing side of comics. It's interesting to have a scene in your mind and then seeing those panels interpreted from another person. I'll see the pages in a BATMAN ANIMATED view, but then I'll see it from a reality-based vision and it's very cool to see.

Sean Phillips, for instance, when he drew my SPIDER-MAN UNLIMITED story or Cory Walker on WEB OF ROMANCE. Because of their talents, they could take the story much further than I could've. They can go with a myriad of angles and are much better draftsmen than I am.

The only advantage I'd have over them, if any, would be I'm more expressive when it comes to faces. Because I'm more of a cartoonist than an illustrator, I really focus on trying to get the expressions of my characters during a scene.

Juan's style is an animated style too, so I think we're very close from the vision of the script to the vision of the page. But, again, those scenic shots he's putting down are incredible.
