It says "Your donkey is as firm as curdled cheese, and your family's chickens are unripe and vaguely smelling of lima beans".
Wow, even the translation sounds like Ralph from Ed, Edd & Eddy.
Well...same to you!

Side question,
Have Microsoft fixed the problem or are they still skating arround it while throwing a billion $ at it?

The last I heard was that you could send your X-Box back to get it fixed for free, but that would leave you without a 360 for a month or more.

From what I understand they've redesigned the problem area to prevent it. Supposedly the system wasn't getting enough circulation. MS is offering free repairs to all affected systems. All the systems produced after a certain point are supposed to be RRoD-proof.
So they're throwing millions at it and taking responsibility.

So, just like normal.
Release an unfinished product then when it breaks. Throw money at it...and fix it with an 'update'.

To clarify, the newer 360's, dubbed Falcon, will use a 65nm chip, instead of the old 90nm. Drastically reducing both the amount of noise the system puts out (yay), while also making it run cooler. Along with redesigns for better airflow, or maybe even a heat-sink.
Some folks actually cracked open their older generation 360's after sending them away for the free repair job, and found that Microsoft had not only fixed their hardware, but also added in heat-sinks as well.
That, combined with the quick response time they had when taking care of my problem, leads me to believe they're taking it quite seriously.
As they should, because c'mon. It was pretty crazy.

I thought normal was to ignore the problem and pretend it doesn't exist, or that it's the consumer's fault?
The situation sucks, but you have to commend Microsoft for at least owning up to it and handling the situation with some level of corporate responsibility. I agree, it would be nicer if the things didn't break. But at least now if they do, they're covered. It's a horrible situation, but it's the optimal response.

I have a question regarding the RROD. What does the half Red ring stand for? My xbox is suffering from it now. And it might've been the room tempurature that's causing it. It's higher than room temp. but it's not hot or anything.

It means call up Microsoft, because you're screwed for the next month or so. While there are a couple of reasons, it's more likely that the internals are overheating and fusing. I believe it had something to do with poor heat management and cheap sodder.

My xbox only went through on RROD and it fixed itself. (I don't know what else to make out) and just today it has half of it. It only happened when the room gotten a bit warmer but it's always warm. So I'll just wait 'till it cools off. I don't if I should use the cooling system or not because I heard that can cause the ring too. Like I said, other than one Ring, it never had any problems.

Elitist!
I like Gear of War better than Gears of War, actually. You know, a gear instead of two, much more maneuverable

Well, since everything else was addressed, I'll answer the poll question.
Out of those three named, I'm more of a Bioshock fan.

As for the poll, I can't wait to have NINJA GAIDEN 2 in my greedy hands.

About them placing heat-sinks in the repaired 360's? Various internet gaming sites that have been following the whole Red Ring thing since it began. Lots of folks are curious to see what Microsoft does to their consoles when they send them in, and...people take crap apart when they're curious.
As for the 'Falcon', that one's been reported on at some level by just about everyone.

Thank you. I asked because I'm gonna get a 360 this november, so I needed to ask before making the investment.

My x box went down with the dreaded red rings.
I had it back within 2 weeks. You pay for nothing. They send you the box to ship it in.
They have recently extended the warranty to 3 years.

Do you think it's possible to get Red Rings from other players? As in, do you think it's possible to send "something" to other players to give them red rings? Like how people send computer viruses?

No, it's a mechanical breakdown. Unless the other player walks across the room and kicks your Xbox, or smothers it with a blanket, you're fine.

That's good to know. I haven't had the problem yet, but if I do, at least I know it's not going to be painful.

Just want to make sure.
My xbox is fine now. It was the really warm temp. that caused it. My AC is fixed now so it shouldn't have anymore problems.

Heh, got my 360 back today. Whole ordeal took about 2 weeks' time.
Not only does my 360 run about 300% stealthier (before, you couldn't ignore it if you tried, now I barely even know it's on), but they also gifted me with a 1-month free Live Gold card for my troubles.
Easily the best warranty experience I've had.

You might want to just force the 360 into overheating while you have the chance. Because the sodder is loosened, and it's only a matter of time before it starts again and the processor melts down.

Just to be sure, you should coat your Xbox360 in latex rubber.
