Last time I looked Doom was in the Zombie U. But he is in the midst of the Squadron Supreme mini.

So at the present moment in the UU, where is Doom? If he got out of the Zombie U, I missed it. How did he do that?

Yeah, I've been reading UFF on the regular, but I guess I must have missed the issue where Doom popped out of the Zombie U. Or maybe it happened in another book?

It hasn't happened anywhere. Unless they take the time to explain it (and they might), we can just assume that he escaped behind the scenes.

It's classic Doom, really.

But why did everyone go "GASP, It's Doom!" in Ultimate Power when....well, he's not actually done anything REALLY major yet in the Ultimate universe?

And where did the goat legs go? :-/

Well, they all know he is the most powerful person on the planet from the Ultimate Zombies arc (the demon went for him instead of Thor) and they know he (or Reed in his body) laid waste to the zombies all by himself and then Doom went in the portal to the other dimension. So while he hasnt tried to take over the world or anything major in UU, he's probably known and feared by the top guns like Fury and the Ultimates.

Ultimate Doom got transported to the Zombie-verse.

My favorite part of that entire arc is right before Doom goes into the portal to zombie world he says, "Just make sure the world knows they were saved by Victor vanDamme." Then he goes and mixes it up! Next panel: newspapers are flying everywhere, "FANTASTIC FOUR SAVES THE WORLD." And they all lived happily ever after.

And where did the goat legs go? :-/Greg Land either couldn't draw them or didn't want to draw them.

The Marvel Zombie, Demon, etc. handbook says he got out of the ZU by methods unknown.

Greg Land either couldn't draw them or didn't want to draw them.

I thought that at first as well, but Millar said he actually wanted to keep the goat legs but editorial made them change it to the traditional armour.

LOL it's true and I hadn't noticed it. That's great. :D

Totally hate the Van Damme rename, by the way... Damn you, Bendis...

I'm dissapointed they didn't get to explain this. I was hoping they showed that the zombie-versed crossed over with the Supremeverse and that's how he got there. Instead it seems like he was never trapped on the zombieverse to begin with...

I think Doom still has goat legs but has armor over it so he could be taken seriously.

He does still has the goat legs but covers them with the armor as shown in a panel from Millar's last arc, although I don't know how that would work.
Still, it wasn't explained why, but that's a nice theory. There's also the fact that he's ashamed of the scar Reed left him with, hence the mask.

I thought he ditched the goat legs through atlantian magic. i'm pretty sure that was the reason behind the changes. He'd been augmenting himself through advanced tech and atlantian magic to become more and more powerful.
