Aren't they always reaching out to new legacy heroes almost every storyline? They should work with the pre existing ones already here. I'm tired of "legacy" heroes and that and nazis is why I stopped getting JSA.

Personally Amazing Man should never have been killed.

I HOPE its not a new one, but the one who 'died' in STARMAN.

Whats wrong with Nazis? Kicking Nazi ass is a classic comic book idea, there can NEVER be enough Nazi ass kicking

That would be an interesting prospect. I'm excited that they're pumping up the team with some power players - ready to begin tackling whatever comes the JSA's way in the near future.

Oh brother , amazing man. I imagine he should be the same one that was killed back in starman since his powers are such , that he can still be assembled back and live.

If i remember the history correctly , his grandfather was the amazing man in All star squadron , his father didn't inherit the powers and died in nam and now he's the third generation superhero.

Because the JSA fights more Nazis than even freaking Captain America. And Captain America ACTUALLY fought in the war.

At times, it seems like DC is trying to make up for having the JSA not participate in WWII.

The JSA was part of the larger organisation in WW II , they were part of the all star squadron.

As long as there are Nazis the JSA will be there to kick their faces in. : )

And yet you still show up to gripe in every JSA thread... Can't be too tired of them. :D

Yeah, I think he might be behind the death of Goth in the last issue.

good point Magog did like blowing holes in people. When exactly does Earth-22 Superman show up? After Marvel dropped the bomb? or before?

I'm happy to hear this news about Amazing Man. However, this team needs to get down to a manageable size. Or maybe split into two titles. As things stand, too many scenes are crowd scenes, with just a couple of heroes getting a brief turn in the spotlight.

From what I've read in interviews, he comes from a point after he went into exile, but before the disaster in Kansas.

If people aren't interested in 'legacy heroes' then they should really try to avoid JSA.. It's the whole concept of the team!

I am enjoying it immensely. Really gives the DCU a feeling of history.

Exactly. The purpose of the team, and the book, is to find and train the next generation of legacy heroes. Take that out and all you've got is just another superhero team.

As for the size of the cast, I think Johns is handling it really well. Sure, JSA seems to be heading down the LSH path with membership numbers, but at no point does it feel to me like any character is being neglected for too long.

As for Amazing Man, I loved the original back in the All-Star Squadron days. I'm interested to see the new one.

I'm not in love with the idea of a new Amazing Man (I mean, since his 'real' history only goes to the 80s, he's not as Legacy as other Legacy heroes) but even more so do we need another Mr. America?

Dude has one of the worst names and worst costumes from the Golden Age. And we've already had a new Mr. America last year, and he died right away because he was lame. At least they could go with "Americcommando" which sounds kinda cool.

And frankly, continuity be damned, I'm pretty sure that one of these guys is carrying around Hitler's Brain.

EDIT
I'm just gonna add I don't care much for Citizen Steel either, mainly because he's the 'legacy' character of one of the fake Golden Age heroes, like Amazing Man, who were invented in the early 80s.
