Dark Horse's 'Ghost'

Whats it like? any good?

I thought it was pretty good. It was one of the few super hero books that Dark Horse did during the 90's that had the most longevity.

I thought Ghost was a great character. Just a cool look to her, but sadly I dont recall any of the stories - that tells me the writing wasnt great.

Dark Horse really shouldve put some talent behind Ghost and have a marketable character.

Wasn't Adam Hughes involved with GHOST artwork in some fashion for a while there?

most of it was stuff I liked. But they never really had a 'fix' on her character. First, I think it was part of the DH whole spooky book genre, that came out with Hellboy and such. But then, it got lost in the badgirl art and the story changed from a mystery/horror story to a more superhero/tech one. Apparently, her 'Ghost' powers were the result of her merging with some tech by the military and her getting amnesia and forgetting about it. That's why later on it was proved that she could be killed while a 'ghost'.

Yes. He did the art for a few issues.

Ghost is a great well written series. I liked how the series knew it was a female heroine book but didn't go horny on it or some crap where the guy writer tries too hard to think like a girl(*cough* Supergirl *cough*). I only read the first series though. It's my favorite female heroine series(With Batgirl a close second).

Ghost came out of the Dark Horse Heroes aka Comics Greatest World line along with X and Barb Wire.

Hopefully the Ghost regular series and mini's will be collected in the Dark Horse Omnibus format. A Dark Horse Heroes Omnibus has already been solicited that collects the original 16 intro issues plus 12 issue Will to Power mini so there is hope.
