Make Your Own PR Series

I'm tired of this new crud. The 'Sentai' is now just as bad.
So, if you were given a moderate budget to make a new series(continuity is your choice), then what would be the story? The theme? The title? The heroes? The villains?
So basically format your own entire series, but keep in mind that your budget is only 'good' at best.

I normally never show up in threads just to be negative but I've always thought Power Rangers was about the lamest thing ever. Even when Power Rangers first started when I was kid. The costumes, the monsters, the acting, the "after school special" feel of it all, even the name of the show---lame.

To contribute something constructive, I would animate it. I don't see me ever not thinking live action sentai isn't lame. No actors in idiotic-looking monster suits or lame cornerstore costumes. Then I stop calling it "Power Rangers". If I haven't got money for that, I guess I bring it waaaay down to Earth and make it about, like an team of international teen spies and each one has some kind of specialty. That way, you don't have to have people transforming into giant stuff or fighting stupid-looking "monsters" which costs money. And that's really the problem with Power Rangers--for stuff to be cool you have to spend money on it and the M.O. for these shows has generally been to spend as little as possible and get by on dubbing stuff that was already shot years ago.

I always thought Zed had a cool design, but everything else was pretty lame. So I'd have Zed as the big bad and redesign everything else. I'd ditch the little robot and the floating head for sure, and make the Rangers older and not retarded.

Dude I am adding a lot more than anyone else and it would be a series, better than anything that came after In space thats for friggin sure. Once those two were off the team we never got anything above utter crap.

Turbo and In Space were the best PR seasons ever(ignoring Justin's existence of course) and if you want good season before that you have to skip seasons four and three and go back to 2 and 1.

Zed and his monsters vs Ashley and Cassie, of course there be other people on the team but no one we'd care about or get any amount of time.

Um, they're actually answering your post, but it sounds like you want them to answer a certain way? They're saying, if given the budget (and sorry if I'm putting words in people's mouths here, if so, please correct me), they would use said budget to get back/bribe the actors and actresses that made the show, to them, worth watching. Hence, for instance, the return of Zedd. In other words, like days of old, there doesn't necessarily HAVE to be a new cast every season, they'd pick and choose hold overs or just put their favorite ones in a new setting, ala "Once A Ranger."

I don't think PR is broken, per se, but I do wish if a season proves successful they would spin it off so it can have a second season. For instance, I think Mystic Force could have easily had another season, possibly a third. It would stay under the moniker "Power Rangers: Mystic Force" while the parent show keeps doing the translation of the previous season of Sentai uninterrupted. Meaning the spinoff would have to be as original as possible (since no Sentai footage would be available).

Or a "Generations" type show where it would be a constantly rotating cast of people we're already familiar with, both to see them again and to get some closure on their characters. For instance, did Chip become a knight? What if Jack wanted to come back to SPD? Stuff like that.

Zords: Something like the Z putties but no big target and have them creepier.

Allies: an anti hero white "ranger" that's not really a ranger. Maybe someone like Ray Park could do some serious cool moves that shows the White Ranger is above the rangers in skill.

Villains: Lord Zed

Rangers: I'd base it off the originals.

Synopsis: Lord Zed is tracking something kind of like the Anti-Life equation.

'Gekiranger', in my opinion, is bad. It's forcing to be funny, the fly is irritating as all getout, and the heroes aren't very likable.

Coif- A surfacer who has no known powers (Or does he?!?) but a shload of cool weapons.
Dorna- A stuck-up psi
Garulf- An underman whose loyalties come with a price

Even as a kid, it was impossible to think a grown man playing a teenager named "Tommy" was cool. I mean to each their own, but people not thinking Power Rangers is lame is something I'll never understand.
