How can you make a comic movie based on howard the duck good though? For what they had to work with i felt the movie fit the spirit of the actual comic.

I remember I was shocked by the female duck's breast shot in the first scenes
Howard the Duck is a very stupid movie.
But it is also a really fun, stupid movie and I highly recommend it to all of you.

I could never accept the movie because no way in hell was that voice what I expected to hear coming out of Howard's bill. They should have got Don Rickles.

Wow, I love Howard the Duck. Were the Overlords created just for the movie or do they evist in Marvel continuity?

How can you not like Howard The Duck, what with Lea Thompson in it. Good lord that is one hot woman.

For some reason I always thought a sequel would involve their time-traveling kids.

I saw H the D the day it opened and I have no memory of that bathtub shot. I can't imagine that I would have forgotten it. I just watched the opening sequence on You Tube and my jaw dropped when I saw it.
Was it in the theatrical version? Could it have been cut locally?

according to this site (http://www.fast-rewind.com/) some sequences were cut off the USA TV version, including the one I mentioned. I suppose they were cut in the theatrical version as well, but strangely they reappear here and there

Yep. And it's the best kind of stupid fun bad movie, the kind that features early performances by several actors who would later become known for appearing in actual good movies.
