1 - Grant brought EMO Cyke back with a freakin vengeance
2 - Grant made him kind of a scumbag
3 - Grant didn't even finish his "I'll stop playing nice" story arc.

Well wasn't Scott considered a scumbag already among many readers back when he left Madelyne for the newly resurrected Jean Grey at the time.

I guess this turning to Emma only compounds those that think he's a scumbag even more.

The only thing with Syke is how come his face almost is always depicted as being stiff when he is not in combat and in view of the public. Do the writers instruct the artist to have him drawn as a stiff?

He's Italian and he nails more high class women than the rest of the X-men combined!! Sure Logan may win in sheer number, but how many movie stars has he done? Lila Cheney's one of the biggest celebrities in the Universe and she STILL makes trips down to Earth to get some from the Guid-ster.

Wait what? I know its not politically correct to play into racial steroetypes, but these are characters- its all we really have to go on (besides their sex lives). That being said, I think Bishop's more than 6. And Forge and James Proudstar are American Indians- definitely bigger than 6. Remember, Forge was enough to satisfy Storm. :evilsmile

You make it sound as if Scott were merely satisfying his intellectual curiosity. He didn't simply go "to see whether it was true"; he rushed blindly off, without a single passing thought for his wife, his son, or anything but Jean. And this was right after he'd just assured Madelyne that "things will work out." Any notion of staying to help work them out was forgotten as soon as Warren called. I don't blame Maddie for her "don't bother coming back!" moment; and that's all it was: a very brief outburst, not a command. And it certainly wasn't Maddie's fault that the Marauders got to her before Scott finally got around--weeks later--to phoning home.

We'll have to agree to disagree. I'm not trying to cast blame on Maddie... I thought she was a great character, and it was a shame what was eventually done to her. But Scott's not really at fault either. It was simply a case of circumstances conspiring against them- he dashed off to see whether someone who he knew was dead (and, yes, had loved) was alive, then she wasn't there when he went back. Not entirely her fault, not entirely his fault. Should each of them have handled things somewhat differently? Yes. But fans who are stuck in the whole "Scott's a heartless, wife-ditching SOB!!!" mindset completely miss the mark. That's all I'm trying to point out.
