Its a fast number #3 of the EXTREME TAKE. Where I mock enertainment , politics and whatever else I can think of. And no....I am not inhaling paint fumes when I do these... (Plus due to my talent 15 read the last one... whoooo yeahhh !!) ;)
MTV MUSIC AWARDS: The Real Action happens off Camera !
MTV spent weeks of hype , pushing and promoting their latest crappy awards show. The fact that this once great network used to treat the awards as a joke and have fun , not wanting the stars to dress up and just show up ...has changed. Now a more corporate MTV books Vegas , makes everyone dress to the FUCKING NINES and book suites at the fanciest motel so you can hear Foo Fighters , Justin Timberlake and Fall Out Boy sing to people in each room !
And the Awards or the lack of them ....MTV had 11 Awards given out. More or less this was an excuse to show people how sucky their lives are and how if we were mega stars , how we'd party like we don't give a damn.
Anyhow the promotion of the Awards was that Britney Spears was returning. She was gonna retake her pop crown as the Queen of Pop as some people were pushing. Instead well.... her performance became a damn joke on the network who were horrified. All that promotion...all that promise of Chris Angel "Mindfreak" and no great act. Angel told the media yesterday that Britney no showed practices for the illusion for days and only practiced for 2 days. Which led him to pull the plug on it.
The real horror was what happened backstage. Her people wanted Britney to wear fucking clothes since she looked like shit. Instead she shot them down and went on. You can tell that her hearts not into this as her practicing never happened as her lip synching skills were so bad as was the dancing the entire place watched in horror. 50 Cent's reaction was priceless ....as he just stared in shock.
Backstage Britney cried like a baby. Her label are so disgusted they wanna postpone the albums release date. Of course you'd think after all the wacko behavior this could have been a great return for her , instead this makes Kevin Federline look sane.
But Britney wasn't the only one losing her damn marbles . Kanye West reacted like a whiny bitch after he lost awards again. Kanye.... its MTV Music Awards dude. They handed fucking Fall Out Boy another award since well....their Fall Out Boy and have no clue whats good at all anymore !
Kanye couldn't blame George Bush for this one even though I'm sure he tried. I'm sure he wanted to do a statement like : "The Reason I don't win MTV Music Awards , George Bush hates black people."
Then before the show even came on the air , Kid Rock threw a suprise punch at Tommy Lee . For the fact that Lee and Pamela Anderson are a couple again and all. Cops charged Kid Rock with something and allowed him to stay and watch.
Perhaps had MTV showed all this , perhaps these Awards would have been DAMN AWESOME. From Kanye's bitching , to Britney's crying and to the fight we could have had an Awards show we could remember for years. Instead the only thing I'll remember is Chris Brown doing awesome dancing, Foo Fighters with the System of a Down frontman and that hot Rhianna singing upgrading Fall Out Boy to great music ! Thats it ....rest of the show BBBLLLEEECCCHH.
Going into CODE RED !
So a few days ago we saw Testimony before Congress about the developements in Iraq. Of course CODE PINK crashed the party with yelling about how so many of their loved ones and more are dying over there.
Many senators were mad. I mean how dare these people who showed up angry to express views yell at Congress. I mean who the fuck wants that ? So 9 of them were arrested for disrupting this important meeting which really....beyond CODE PINK was a by the numbers deal.
Bush himself was feeling the heat as Congress wants results and wants the kids to come home finally. So he annouced that today he's gonna cut 30,000 troops by next July and more by the end of 2008.
Which will carry Bush thru his whole run in the White House. I don't know if this is sad or pathetic in a way. Because not only do we get stuck in another year of this , but we get Bush claiming we can get that all important W in the WIN COLUMN.
So the next president , be he Republican or Democract has to clean up this shit. Way to go Bush. Way to be the DECIDER ! Not the DIVIDER !!
